Magic Spoon largely satisfies those seeking a healthier, high‑protein, low‑sugar riff on nostalgic cereals, according to reviews, but it is not universally loved. Reviewers praise its 13g protein per serving, gluten‑free/grain‑free formulas, fun flavors like Fruity, Cocoa, Cinnamon Roll, and Maple Waffle, and cheerful packaging; common complaints cite an artificial or stevia/monk‑fruit aftertaste, gummy texture that sticks to teeth, flavor inconsistency (especially some chocolate/peanut butter variants), limited satiety for some, and very small, pricey boxes.

Claims itbis either 0 or 1 net carb, but it is 11 grams of carbs and 1 gram of fiber .13 grams of protein. Wasted money. More than half my allotment of carbs.. Tastes great .expensive and misleading

Truth in advertising. Lies. Far higher carbs than advertised.

While I love the idea of “healthier” cereal, my children would not eat this. We tried the flavor Fruity. While I did not find it terrible, I more so wanted it for my cereal loving children.

I initially picked up Magic Spoon because of its colorful and playful box, which I feel really reflects the cereal itself. The first two flavors I tried were cinnamon, which is my favorite, and fruity, which while I enjoy, I would not reach for first. The cinnamon flavor has a lot of depth and when I eat it it feels very nostalgic, in a good way. I don't love fruit flavors, but Magic Spoon's fruit flavor is very similar to Froot Loops and I think might be good for people who like that flavor profile. One of the biggest things I love about Magic Spoon is the texture of the cereal. I'm a big texture person, especially when eating, and Magic Spoon has one of my favorite textures of any snack. It's super airy and light while still leaving a pleasant mouth-feel and aftertaste. If you're not a fan of a lot of texture, it might not be for you, but if you like crispy, crunchy texture, you'll love it! I also love it because it aligns with my health goals - as someone with PCOS, the low-carb and high-protein nutritional profile is definitely a huge plus, and unlike with other cereals, I don't notice a heavy feeling in my stomach or a sugar crash later on.
Feedback
One potential downside of Magic Spoon cereal is the price. At around $10 per box, it is significantly more expensive than many other cereals on the market. However, it is worth noting that the cereal is made with high-quality ingredients, including whey protein, coconut oil, and monk fruit extract, which may justify the higher price point for some people.

Delicious - great for people with dietary restrictions and people looking to heat healthier

Good when I was searching for my comfort food favorites. Missed the cereal crunch which this has.

I absolutely can't get over the price to volume ratio. I'm ok paying more for healthy sugar free options, but this is a bit much.

I really loved this cereal. I paired it with vanilla almond milk. The cereal is crunchier than most, but it's still good! Just beware, there is an odd aftertaste that I can't describe.

I hate long shipping times, so check if your local Target has it. That's where I got mine from.

These cereals are DELICIOUS and addicting!!! I'm a super big fan of the Maple Waffle flavor and the Cinnamon Roll, but the Peanut Butter will always have my heart. There's a slight "fake sugar" aftertaste - it seems they're coated in it, but they still make it work and taste delicious. I hardly ever have it with milk, either - it's so good on it's own and PACKED with protein.

This was good. But it wasn’t amazing. Definitely not real cereal but it was good. It’s also expensive. Wasn’t for me.

I have a monthly subscription. I truly enjoy this cereal , it’s light and flavorful without excess sugar. The content is rather small but you don’t need a large serving, a small amount will do. Good for breakfast or snack. My favorite is the cocoa flavor.

Bag half empty and overhyped. Really expensive.

Bought on Amazon. Wasteful packaging too.

We’ve all made the comment “I’m gonna eat healthier and try and drop a few pounds” but after a few days we find ourselves giving in to craving and pushing the diet to the side with the excuse of “I’ll start next week, or nothing tastes good” This product was a VITAL staple during my keto weight loss journey!!!! With magic spoon it allowed me to adhere to my diet all while giving me the fun of a cheat meal without the guilt. This product doesn’t taste like typical low carb substitutes. It taste like cereal NOT CARDBOARD COVERED IN MILK. While I’m not longer on a keto diet, this product STAYS in my pantry to this day. I implore anyone starting a diet or just wants something healthier to give it a shot, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

When you're eating a protein-focused diet, you learn very quickly to set your expectations to 0 with any "high protein" dupe. Magic Spoon exceeded my expectations quite a bit. I got the single-serve cups with peanut butter, frosted, fruity, and cinnamon flavors. I did not try the chocolate one. The non-chocolate flavors seem pretty decent - not too much of an aftertaste. I especially like the peanut butter and the cinnamon flavors. The upside for me would be the low sugar and the protein ratio, at 13-14 grams of protein for ~150 calories. You get a decent portion for this amount as well, not that much different from regular cereal.

When I choose a protein food - especially one that I know is going to be processed - I want to know it's going to keep me fueled for at least a couple of hours. The cereal is meeting that expectation. I would recommend this if you have some kind of dietary limitation and want a cereal that meets your goals - keto, avoiding sugar, protein for weight management and/or muscle gainz. I'm giving this 4/5 from the standpoint of "protein-boosted foods" - it would be 3/5 for people who can enjoy regular cereal and meet their macro goals elsewhere. (As an aside, I wish it were crunchier?)

I enjoy Magic Spoon cereal and how similar it is to regular sugary cereal. It helps me stay on track and maintain my 120-pound weight loss by satisfying my cravings guilt-free.

You should totally give this healthier alternative a chance. It is the closet to the real thing I've had. No weird after taste, overall obsessed.

I mean its good stuff, a great healthy crunchy snack/breakfast option. As a chef sometimes I just want to eat something without thinking about making it so I love to bring this snack around I love crunchy things so this does the crunch trick for me!

It does the job. Delicious, crunchy, and cute branding.

I ordered a set of 3 flavors from magic spoon and overall, they were okay! Leave a bad taste in your mouth, especially if eaten fry. So I recommend milk or plant based milk like an actual bowl of cereal. They’re hard and crunchy, not only large cherrios. I never purchased again, but I did finish all three boxes. If they’re a cereal lover looking to really get more protein in your diet, these might be the hack for you.
Feedback
Eat them with milk. They’re not great as a dry snack. If you’re not a cereal lover already, they may not be worth it for you.

Found the box/sizes to be shockingly small. Great flavours, some even resembled childhood favourites like Froot Loops or Reese.

Overall, I thought that the cereal was ok. I would have been very disappointed if I didn't know that it was a low-carb option. But as a low-carb option, I think it is a pretty good option. Is this the best cereal ever, no. Is it a good option for those wanting a low-carb diet, yes.
Feedback
I felt that it tasted a bit stale and lacked some of the flavor a normal cereal offers.

They arrived in about three weeks after ordering. I tried the chocolate. They were not on my list of the tastiest. But they were very chocolate! I think kids would definitely like them. Honestly I don’t think they remind me of any other cereal at all. They are completely original. My best feedback is that the texture is very chewy and dense.

Cool idea but I really didn't like the aftertaste and how everything gets stuck to my teeth. I hope they improve the flavors in the future because the concept and macros are wonderful.
