Maev has dramatically improved my dogs life. My dog is 13 years old and has had mobility issues for years. A friend of mine recommended I try a raw food to help and I found Maev online. I started noticing improvements in about a month and my dog is back to walking and running with ease. I am so so so grateful.

About 10 months ago I switched my French Bulldog from a homemade beef diet to Maev weight and digestion. My 2 year old frenchie has bowel issues, and that is unfortunately common with the breed. Maev was amazing for him at first! He was never over weight, if anything, he was underweight as he was a rescue dog. When we first started him on Maev, we were very impressed with the quality! The chunks were small enough for him to eat without there being a choking hazard, the food was mixed thoroughly and there seemed to be a good balance of contents. Over the past few months the quality has declined though... What once was a great balance of food content is now predominately just a few of the ingredients. The bags we have received the past few months have been predominately all beef liver, vegetable chunks (mostly zucchini), and potatoes. There is now very little to no peanut butter, no kale, very little to no blueberries, and a sad amount of their beef. To top that off, the contents are never mixed well into the packaging nowadays. The beef liver consumes the entire top of the bag. We have to vigorously toss around the sealed bag before opening and often times stick our hands into the bag to bring some of the bottom contents to the top. The ultimate factor in us cancelling Maev was the amount of weight my dog lost. He went from 23 pounds to 18 pounds in just a few months time. When we first started to notice his weight loss, we started feeding him more than the recommended amount, (they have recommended daily portions on the back of their bags). We were feeding out then 20 pound dog the diet of a 50 pound dog and he was still losing weight! It got to the point where his spine and back ribs were showing, (you can see this in the attached photo). We knew we had to do something immediately. We switched our dog to Tuckers's Beef and Pumpkin raw dog food, added in some green beans, carrots, blueberries and a few supplements. After TWO WEEKS our dog was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!! Running around like a puppy. Playing with toys, (he never did that when he was eating Maev!). He gained all the weight that he had lost and looks amazing. I was once an advocate for Maev. Told all my friends and family how awesome it was. Posted about it on social media. Not anymore.

Although my dogs love eating this, it’s too soon to tell if they have any side effects. I decided to try it when a close friend. Highly recommended it. They have a referral program and I used the link that was given to me so that she can get the referral. For two days. I have been arguing with customer care because they refuse to give her the referral when clearly she is the one who referred me. They claim that I did not use her special link! Talk about micromanage?? in today’s day. There are many other raw dog food that are just as good. I’m going to continue doing my research and they will lose me as a customer if they do not give my friend the credit that she deserves and is owed. Their food might be the best food but if their customer care sucks, I want no parts of it!

We have an account with Maev for two large breed dogs. FOOD is great. Customer service is horrible. Since joining, I have had to chase down our second dogs delivery every single time. No exaggeration, every single time. Most recently, I received a notice that my order was processed. The order that they processed was a box. A box with no food. Just a box. But I didn't get the box, I was just charged for the box. CELINE is the customer care agent I believe is handling my account as she is the person who responds. Responds with "here is what I show your order says. Which one needs to be shipped?" Why wouldn't she look at the order history and know this? And then "sorry can't get your order out till Monday, holiday schedule may cause delay" . My dogs are currently out of food (I placed an expediated order on the 25th). I will make food to get us through, at a rough estimate of $300. This is on top of what they are already charging me. So again, while the food is great, there are massive customer care issues that may cost you even more than the food, which is already expensive. My advice.. go elsewhere.

I am having the same issue with customer care. They are so rude and downright nasty. I’m about to find another brand, just because of their unprofessional customer care.

This company has only been in business for 2 years. 2 years more than it should of been. You have to stand by your products, and also stand by the consumers. You stole 85 dollars from me. This company has only been in business for 2 years. 2 years more than it should of been. You have to stand by your products, and also stand by the consumers. You stole 85 dollars from me. Ever since being recommended to this product, my dogs energy started to drastically change after a few weeks feeding him this food. It’s pre prepped with meats and veggies which let me tell you my little guy would not touch any veggies. Having a German Shepherd/Belgium Malinois I only want him to perform at peak performance and it’s definitely showing. His coat is softer, energy is high, and he literally doesn’t leave any thing left in the bowl. Definitely Recommend this or at least give it a 2 week trial. He even loves it frozen, being the hotter parts of the year it’s definitely a better thing as well.

We have been with Maev since Nugget came home late spring of 2022. She was a 10 week old Chinese Shar Pei puppy and we were determined to find her a diet that would provide her support for a long lasting and healthy life. We chose Maev not only because of its convenience but because Shar Pei’s tend to be a bit sensitive to food. As working professionals in Los Angeles my partner and I don’t have a lot of time to make a raw diet from scratch so having something delivered to our doorstep that is of such high quality was really amazing for us! You can literally see the raw ingredients your dog is eating which is important to us as opposed to a lot of the other brands that sell raw patties etc. with a lot more ingredients and additives (not to add they’re a mess to serve). We also feed the supplements bars as well as add salmon oils, other fruits and veggies, and an occasional raw eggs etc. just to keep it exciting for Nugget. We also just brought a new fur baby home named Nox and we are currently switching his diet to Maev as well! We understand Maev is an up and coming business and the raw food market is somewhat newer so we have had a few hiccups with Maev; however, I am still giving them five stars as every time we have had an issue they are always happy to fix the problem and make it right. We wish them the best as their success will only mean that our dogs will have a long and healthy life.

We've been feeding Maev for the last two weeks and I can't stop talking about how amazing it is. The product is unlike anything else available, the packaging is so clean and easy to use, and most importantly my dog has never been more excited about meal time than he is now. Already seeing a reduction in his shedding and improved digestion.
I was really excited to try Maev for our new puppy who was having tummy problems with all kibble, but our experience was bad. First, they advertised the puppy bundle to depict the vitamin bars included, which they aren't and they don't tell you. Second, the bone broth topper that does come with the puppy bundle was on back order, but that was never disclosed to us until we received just the two bags of food and nothing else. I contacted customer service, they are extremely difficult to reach as there isn't a phone number you can even call and chat support was not helpful in the least. All communication had to be done via email, which in 2023 is unacceptable because it causes delays that are unnecessary and unexpected. I finally did reach a rep via email who provided a full refund and as a show of faith sent the bone broth topper and paused our subscription to allow us to try the product as it was made to be, as a bundle. The broth showed up melted, with absolutely nothing to keep it cold in the box and it had what looks like a soapy foam on top of the jars. I contacted customer service via email as I was instructed to do, and the customer service rep was rude, clearly hadn't taken the time to review the order issues prior to replying and simply said you got a full refund, "your order will arrive in excellent condition, just like the second order that came in"...yet I'm a first time customer so clearly he was too busy to be bothered to fix the issue for the second time. I didn't get to try the products because I couldn't get the company to actually send me my order as one and in edible condition. Based purely on my family's experience with customer service and the repeated failures by Maev to deliver what I paid for, we cancelled our subscription and do not recommend this company. Leaving a puppy with tummy problems in a lurch while she patiently waits for the new food her owners are trying to provide her with is a pretty rotten thing to do.

I wish I could have uploaded more then one picture to show the packaging, the emails, and the food itself, but was limited to one so I thought the liquidated and most likely spoiled bone broth would be the best representation of our experience.

You are like the 10th customer who has had issues with their customer care- their employees are completely unprofessional and obviously untrained to deal with the public. Although I do like the food for my dogs, they are losing me as a customer because of their rude and nasty attitude. For an up-and-coming company, the owner really should step it up, or they might lose this company because of the poor reputation of their employees.

I’ve been looking for a raw chicken food for my giant breed puppy that is convenient. I have to say, this product did not disappoint. - You pour it straight out of the bag (instead of having to thaw) - The nutrient profile is perfect for big growing puppies - My dog obviously liked the taste, looking all around the bowl for anything he missed Definitely going to by buying again…

I decided to switch to Maev after using premium kibble for my Golden Retriever almost all of his life. I used this Kibble because our breeder told us to use it when we got our dog as a puppy. It wasn't until I decided to just take a risk and see if some of my dog's health issues would be solved by switching to something natural like Raw food. A few months in and I'm already seeing awesome results with our golden as he is consuming less water, shiny/healthy coat, energy, bad breath pretty much gone, and smaller stools. The price of the food can seem pretty expensive, but it's actually cheaper than other "health" food brands. Also you just scoop and serve instead of having to squeeze food out and hope your dog likes it.

My last order arrived partially thawed with no dry ice in the bag. They only sent me half the amount I had ordered and ignored my request for a refund *update did finally get a refund*. The food used to be great, which is why I stuck with it despite website/ordering issues and slow customer service, but they changed the formula and is now including raw potatoes and less meat for the same price. Wouldn’t recommend.

Initially was very happy with the mix of meat vegies and fruits in the hair and skin bags. With out any update from MAEV the formula has changed to very little meat, very little fruits to hole lot of low cost vegies. Its like a big salad with the hint of meat.

I get it, having investors is not ideal to keep your company true to its core and values. More profit more profits call out. Just feel like i have been robed and from the recent review, so has many others. Lack of updates and dramatic changes will bring low sales and high complaint volume, the system of canceling your subscription is also on the border of grand law suit territory. Take care.

My dog is obsessed with Maev's daily vitamin bars. As a chihuahua, he's got a ton of anxiety and the anxiety and mental health bars do wonders for keeping him calm daily. Plus, the customer support team is always great about delivering quick responses to any questions. Good human-grade food that is sourced locally is hard to find and Maev knocks it out of the park.

My dogs love this food. The problem is that in the summer months, they do not ship in a timely manner and the food arrives defrosted. You would think that they would have rectified the issue as the only way you can get maev is online. So unfortunately , due to poor shipping schedules or the extra expense for 2 day shipping, this great dog food is being kicked to the curb.

Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. If you’re running out of dog food it takes forever to get some shipped so your dog is just stuck without food for days, it’s also in NO retail stores so it’s impossible to go and get some. After trying to email and call, I’ve gotten a generic email response and a phone call that said she apologized. I still do not have dog food or a response. Think twice before switching to this dog food.

Despite following instructions, both my dogs had terrible digestive issues with Maev. When I asked to cancel, they did cancel my subscription but went ahead and processed the next order . I had reached out prior to the order being processed but somehow they processed anyway and shipped... Highly expensive order and now I'm stuck with pounds of food that make my dogs ill. Most rescues won't accept the raw food because of food borne illness. Definitely not worth it .
