Whether it’s not knowing if we turned off our blowdryer, closed our garage or what route we actually took home because we are constantly being distracted by these shiny screens - WE ARE TIRED. WE ARE PRETTY ANXIOUS. WE DON’T KNOW HOW WE LANDED ON OUR EX’S SISTERS FIANCE’S MOM’S INSTAGRAM. The average person spends 2 months a year on their phone and anxiety/depression rates are at an all-time high. While our phones aren’t the only factor, data supports our phones deserving a large part of the blame. Don’t you want to feel like you are in control of your life now versus reflecting later on the hours you spent looking down at an endless scroll? What’s more important- preserving the battery in your phone or your own personal battery? It’s time to charge in a different way. We obviously understand the allure of the digital abyss, but fear not, we’re here to create playful yet functional objects that help you put that phone down, if even for a bit. We decided to take an abstract object and turn it into a reminder to put your phone down starting first within your home. Let’s bring back the good ole’ no phones at the dinner table rule!
