Reviews mention

  • Fast-acting hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-friendly packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Smooth, easy dissolving powder
  • Overly sweet flavor profiles
  • Noticeable salty aftertaste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional clumping texture

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, heat, travel, or a night out—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (standouts include Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) make it easy to use. Reviews also flag consistent drawbacks: many flavors taste overly sweet or salty, some feel thick or artificial, and the added sugar and sodium (with a newer sugar‑free line noted) are frequent concerns; mixing can clump and flavor hit-or-miss. Overall, the brand is effective but polarizing on taste and ingredients.

  • I have used Liquid IV multiple times, but wish they had less sugar in them and higher quality ingredients. I also don’t like how you can taste the powder in the air when you open a packet.

  • Lemon lime liquid iv has saved my life on more than one occasion. I usually buy in bulk at Costco and love seeing them pop up at more and more retail stores. It’s another travel essential for me to help boot hydration and gets me to drink more water. Works everytime!

  • The caffeine LiquidIV works so well. It is a ton more effective and healthier than a cup of coffee. I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing an energy boost. The flavor is not too bad either!

  • this not only solves some aspects of dreaded hangovers but really helps with daily hydration, always keep one in my bag

  • Have tried liquid IV while traveling and definitely think it helped with hydration, but wish there was less sugar in each pack. Sticking to hydrating the old fashioned way.

  • I like that this is a pretty healthy way to stay extra hydrated (doesn't have a ton of sugar in it), but there are very few flavors that I personally really enjoy.

  • I have been drinking these mix packs for YEARS!! They have great flavor options and have been a life-saver for every 100°+ trip to Palm Springs I've taken over the years! I wish there was less sugar but other than that- they are the best!

  • I love liquid iv! Whenever I feel like I need a boost of hydration I have one. The passion fruit is my favorite flavor!

  • Effective, good flavors, great packaging for travel. Always keep some in the house & travel with for vacation. Good for a hangover or boosting hydration after a flight or workout.

  • So horrible. Tastes like liquid sugar when claiming to be a healthy drink. Every flavor I've tried has been pretty much undrinkable. Can help with a hangover in a pinch but I think there are better alternatives on the market.

  • I have been using religiously while breastfeeding and it has helped so much

  • Loved the variety of flavors but don't love all the flavors. I think I've only really liked one flavor that they offer. It does work well, I do notice the same benefits as Pedialyte.

  • A staple in my day. I don’t feel as good when I don’t drink one. It helps with my POTS symptoms, and they taste yummy!

  • They taste so good and really do help with hydration. I take them for hangovers first thing in the morning or at night to wake up feeling better.

  • My family and I swear by this for hangovers (or for pre-party hydration) and for snorkeling. Few things to note: one powered packet per bottle of water is quite strong/sweet for me so I typically use only half a packet per bottle. Also the product is quite expensive compared to other “water flavor packs” but highly worth the extra $. Much better quality and results than a Propel or Gatorade packet. Comparable results to Pedialite but better flavours and packaging.

  • Love the taste (mostly) and the concept. The individual packets are super easy and travel-friendly. The only negative I have is the amount of sugar -- it makes it almost too sweet and I know there is a technical reason for the sugar but as someone who doesn't consume a lot of sodas or juices, it feels like a bit much for me. But I definitely always have Liquid I.V.'s on-hand when traveling!

  • I am horrible at drinking water. I find these liquid Iv packets really help to keep my hydration where it needs to be I love them.
