  • WTF was my first purchase from JRB and I am a huge fan! It's a great minimalist foundation for someone who doesn't wear a lot of makeup or like the look of a lot. It gives a dewy look without being too greasy, and the color-matching test was perfect for finding my tone.

Wish it had SPF! It also gets oil separated out easily, so after a while it's hard to stir before using.

  • I don’t use so much makeup but when I do I like for it to look natural and minimal. I started with the WTF and did the quiz online to find my right shade. Def was a bit skeptical at first because I wasn’t really sure that it would actually match my skin tone BUT it did. The thing I like about WTF is that you don’t have to use a lot of the product. I mainly use it in the areas that I need to correct the color and then I use the face pencils to correct anything else. It does get a bit oily so you have to make sure to mix it up- I did reach out to them on IG asking about this and they said it was normal for shifting to occur in the glass bottle.

  • Miracle Balm. This stuff is amazing. I have skin that is on the oilier side and I am able to use this as a moisturizer and a foundation. It does not clog my pores and gives my skin a healthy looking tint and glow. For my skin, a little goes a long way so I expect this to last longer than other products would.

  • “No Makeup, Makeup” Literally the definition of all the products! I absolutely love the miracle balms, I started off with the bronze and now have 4 other colors! The mascara is amazing and most of my friends even noticed I switched brands, with out even mentioning it. A lot of the products have a touch of shimmer in them, which is perfect for the summer!

The products sell out very quickly and sometimes takes a while for the restock. However, I would assume that as they grow they will adjust their supply chain!

  • Overall, I like the brand quite a bit. It feels like a more mature glossier, with cleaner ingredients and more transparency. I ordered a bunch of items and mostly loved them. -Eye cream: really nice, thick and moisturizing. -Eye shadow: one of the best I have used, goes on cleanly and stays on. I have gotten so many complements. -Face pencil: goes on a little dry but love the coverage once it is blended -What the Foundation: when blended, I liked the coverage but it is a really sticky foundation. I usually go for tinted moisturizer and this feels to heavy for me. It gave me a nice dewy look but its not for my skin.

The WTF foundation separated after a few weeks, with an oily layer on top. Love the brand ethos and would love to have a tinted moisturizer or lighter option.

  • I love the Miracle Balm and wear it on a daily basis for my bronzer/blush. It is , admittedly, sticky so beware if you're wearing your mask!

  • Order 3308073. Miracle Balm, cool gloss, mascara, brown eyeshadow. The bag they came is so weird. It's not pretty or soft, it's like plasticky papery. The balm stinks and it's sticky. Mascara is dry. The lip balm is okay but nothing special just like any other. And the eyeshadow has like no pizazz, just a flat matte, ashy looking brown. I'm not happy with it. And absolutely not worth the money.

  • Didn’t like the texture or the light coverage.

  • Mixed feelings about this brand. Their flagship product - the Miracle Balm - is pretty good though some might find it too gooey. The night cream is grainy and smells awful. The lip gloss is terrible - watery and doesn’t stay on. The face and lip stick - the colors I tried were unflattering so I gave up on it. The face pencils are pretty good for small spot correction but don’t work well as an under-eye concealer- they pull the skin too much. The eye pencils and mascara are good products, no complaints. The glittery eye shadows are a big no for me, they looked awful on my aging eye lids. Got rid of them. Overall, I was not impressed with this line, mostly same old same old and not done that well. The only product that is different and unique is the miracle balm, but not everyone will like it. Edit. I loved the mascara at first but after about a month it started to clump. Now it’s just another clumpy mascara in my makeup drawer.

  • I ordered the Miracle Balm and just got it today. I was excited to get it...I am a low maintenance gal..just wanted a nice glow. It is GOING BACK. It has actual pieces of glitter in it. NOT suitable for a older woman. GLITTER PEOPLE.. big enough to notice in daylight.. really tacky.. was trying to upgrade but going back to L'oreal..Glow.. much softer look. Very 😥 disappointing.. now the return..see how easy that is?

  • I'm 62 and didn't want to spend a ton of time on my make-up. I've been using What the Foundation for several months, despite my misgivings. The first jar I received was fine. I ordered a second jar and almost immediately, it became very oily and I had to stir it up to blend it everytime I used it. The current jar has little "crumbs" in it as if someone were eating cookies over it at the factory! This will be my last purchase. I was so hopeful.

  • I did their quiz saying I needed an all over over tint and colorless glow and bought the recommended Dusty pink. It arrived and I can only use as a blush and it is a very expensive blush! I am very disappointed and will not be buying anything more from this company!

  • I have the miracle balm in three different shades, I love it so much. The concealer pencil never leaves my purse because it’s so perfect for touchups on the go. I am a huge Bobbi Brown fan girl — I got her makeup book at the scholastic book fair when I was around 13 and it changed my life. She’s all about natural, easy, effortless makeup, and Jones Road takes that to the next level. They fit a similar niche as Glossier, but more age inclusive. So if you find that Glossier’s youthful branding has you feeling left out, give Jones Road a try.

  • I spend over $100 for two products. I was very excited about trying it out. I purchased the foundation and the miracle balm. I was NOT...I repeat...NOT happy with the way the foundation and balm felt on my skin. It was oily and did not do anything for my skin. I sent an email asking about the return policy. I received a link I could do nothing with because I did not have the customer order number. I reached out to Jones Road multiple times via email and phone calls (the customer service number is hard to find if, in fact, there is a number to contact them on), no response after the first initial email. So I'm stuck with makeup I cannot use. I highly recommend that you do NOT buy Jone Road's makeup!!! You cannot get in touch with the customer service department! Never again!

When signing in, I would have liked to see the products I purchased and the information requested (customer order#) for a straightforward return process. I want the customer service people to answer my emails. I do not want to waste time searching for a customer service number.

  • Feels very uncomfortable in the face, feels heavy and sticky. I tried it on my face and chest and had to take it off because I felt dust or dirt would stick to it since it’s so thick and sticky. my husband touched my face and it got all over his hand and asked why my face was so sticky?! so upset i bought two since the ads say nothing but great things about it. It feels awful on the face and gets in anything it touches!

  • I never received their product. The order process started smoothly but quickly went sideways. Because I was informed that a product was backordered after placing my order, I decided to cancel the order. All emails/inquiries from that point on were not returned. On top of that, they eventually replied to the backorder situation from our first interaction weeks earlier and sent me another shipment with an alternate color, again that I did not want. Every note I have sent or inquiry I have made was not responded to. I would strongly recommend against ordering directly through this company.

Simply put, if they had communicated, I would not have had an issue.

  • This stuff is horrible! It's gloooy, gloppy and smells bad. It's like using glue on your face. Doesn't spread well and is so sticky. I had to wash it off right away couldn't stand it!

    Everything!

  • I’m a 52 year old woman that does wear medium foundation coverage and I do wear makeup most of the time, some days I’ll just use a bronzer with a little mascara. I recently just purchased WTF, 2 miracle balms, 2 concealer pencils and shimmery lip gloss. I wanted to love these products and I tried but honestly I cannot use all of them. Main complaint is that my skin just feels way too tacky and oily with WTF as well as the miracle balm. My skin is not at all oily, it’s mainly dry and depending on my nighttime moisturizer some days it feels normal. I tried WTF without my morning moisturizer and it still feels way too tacky on my skin. I’m keeping the lip gloss and “golden hour” miracle balm as I’m going to continue to play with it to see if it will overtime work with my skin. WTF, magic hour balm, and the concealer pencils I’ve requested credits for. I am just bummed because I wanted to love these products!

  • I purchased 2 of the creams, foundation, numerous balms (I didn't know which color I would like), and some other random products. The creams, foundation, and balms are horrible. I felt like I was applying glue to my face. It's wet and sticky and does not change consistency. It's like it never dries or absorbs into your skin. My face feels like an oil slick. I use makeup to get away from that feeling.... Not only that, but the smell is also horrible. Some of it reminds me of cleaning products or rose water (which I hate). The only thing I purchased that I "like" is the mascara and brow pencil. I am in the process of returning, and oddly enough, they state they will refund my money, but the product does not need to be physically returned. I will see if that is the case and update this review if that actually happens. Unfortunately, I don't even want to keep the product, as I will never use it. 01/12/2023 - Nadine

I think a better explaination of what it is going to feel like on your skin, prior to buying would be a great help. It just makes your skin feel like an oil slick.
