Inn Beauty Project Reviews

4.3

Inn Beauty Project earns mixed reviews: many find the Slushy serum, Extreme Cream, Green Machine, and lip oils genuinely effective—hydrating, glow-giving, and gentle—while others criticize misleading claims, juvenile packaging, and underwhelming moisturizers. Reviews praise comfortable textures, sheer-plush tints, and no white cast sunscreen, but flag issues like gritty SPF lip balm, warm/orange-leaning Face Glaze, ingredient transparency concerns, and fragile, bulky “refillable” packaging.

  • Something about the Extreme Cream agrees with my face. I had purchased a smaller size from Sephora before, but had to get a full-size because I like it that much. I am not somebody who often repeat purchases because there's always "something better out there." Happy to land here for a while. The acne serum seems to be helping some of the postpartum skin I've been experiencing. However it's not like the olden days of Clearasil which dries your pimple and skin out. It's gentle but effective. The face glaze is a nice add - I'm not a huge bronzer or highlighter user, but having this glaze adds the illusion of a dewy glass skin look. It brightens up my face easily. Overall, it's not the sexiest brand out there but their products really work!

  • I received a generous sample of Hydrating Gel Cleanser and was able to use it three times. It has a nice consistency and makes a nice lather. The smell is good enough, I’m not in love with it but it’s definitely not offensive. It cleaned my skin well, however, it left me feeling dry rather than hydrated. I’m not going to buy it but am definitely not writing off Inn Beauty Project because it’s the only product of theirs I’ve tried.

  • I really love this brand. For the price point, you get a good amount of product and it works really well. I prefer the extreme cream to other, pricier moisturizers (like Bader). It does a good job hydrating and leaves a phenomenal dewy effect. The gel cream is also great but probably better for summer - it feels watery on your face and would probably be refreshing on a hot day. The sunscreen seems to work well, and doesn’t leave any casts or weird streaks on my face. The eye cream is also very hydrating and works well under makeup. The green machine also seems to be a nice vit c serum for the morning. None of the products irritate my skin or cause breakouts/rosacea flares. I also love that they sell refills for many of their bottled products to cut down on waste.

  • The Inn Beauty lip oils are some of my favorites. I think I’ve had nearly every color over the years. They’re definitely on the thicker side and leave your lips feelings so hydrated and protected. They’re high shine and make your lips seem more plump. The color always shows up sheer and juicy and just right. I’ve loved every one of the shades they have. You can’t go wrong. The Sun Balm SPF 30 lip is ok. Not my favorite spf lip product. The colors are a bit dark for summer in my opinion which is when I’m mostly wearing this product and it’s really thick. I find it hard to reapply because it kind of grits up? I would skip this particular product. I love the face glazes when I want a more dewy base for my complexion. I think they’re also great for no makeup makeup. I use the bronze just on my high points. It does lean more warm/orangey so if you have cool undertones be wary of that. They hydrate my skin and don’t break me out making them great for evening makeup after the beach or pool before I’m ready to do my nighttime skincare! Overall I like the Mineral Sun Glow. I usually use it on top of a regular sunscreen for adequate spf coverage. If I use enough of this to get the spf coverage I need it’s too glowy but one or two pumps just makes my skin look really healthy. The Calm The Red Down duo has been nice for my redness. I do wish I could just buy the green corrector on its own. It’s the most natural corrector I’ve found and doesn’t turn my complexion too dark or yellow. The serum is nice but I don’t notice long term affects. The surprise hit was the Bronze Body Glow! I love it so so much. Gives a really nice color and doesn’t make me look orange or unnatural. The glow is real without being glittery. And once it dries down it doesn’t transfer which is so hard to find with a body glow! It also smells nice - sweet and beachy, like a summer night.
