I purchased NOW Foods Magnesium Glycinate with BioPerine®, and to be quite honest, it was an accident. I had intended to purchase a similar brand (same colors on the bottle). However, it contains 100% magnesium glycinate bound to glycine, and is enhanced with BioPerine® (a patented black pepper extract) to further boost the bioavailability and intestinal absorption of the mineral. So, although the brand I intended to purchase features a blend of magnesium lysinate and magnesium glycinate, and is 100% chelated using TRAACS (The Real Amino Acid Chelate System) to optimize absorption without relying on pepper extracts...from a scientific and physiological standpoint, the impact will be functionally the same. Both are excellent choices for absorption. In fact, the addition of BioPerine® in the NOW formulation serves a similar purpose to the chelation technology in the other brand. And, NOW is a brand I already use for other products, and one I trust...and iHerb is the perfect place to purchase it and other health and wellness products. Highly recommend both this product and iHerb! :)
