  • So far everything is good. I received my first order today, which arrived fairly early. I noticed the box had a slit on the side but it looks like the contents were not damaged (except for some denting on one of the cardboard boxes—probably from the transit). The ice packs were not melted and nothing was missing from my order. Also, I was glad to see that none of the items expire super early. I will update this review once I try the products.

  • I have been charged twice for two deliveries that have never arrived. Hungryroot was not aware/ did not reach out to me until I contacted them. They refunded the first box that was supposed to arrive over a week ago. The second one I was supposed to keep an eye out for. Tracking said that it never left the warehouse. After three emails back and forth, I still have not been able to cancel my subscription despite never receiving any product.. The FAQ page says to click this link to cancel the subscription, and there is no link. I’ve requested cancellation multiple times through their text and email “contact us.” There is no phone number to call. It is possible that they are just having severe delivery issues, but this feels super scammy to me. Buyer beware!

  • I tried this company's meal delivery service once on a promotion. Once that was over, though, it was impossible to afford. Other brands out there are much more economically affordable. This one, though tasty, just wasn't realistic for your average American working class family. The ingredients were good. The quality was fine. Customer service seemed to be okay from what little I interacted with them. I just can't afford their brand.

  • I enjoyed it - I think mainly because we got free cookie dough every time with our purchase. Their cookie dough is SO GOOD. They have an almond chocolate chip one and their black bean one is just... *chefs kiss*. Thought the meals were alright, but it wasn't appealing after a while. Just like Hello Fresh though, I ran into the issue of not wanting to eat as much as we thought after a week, and food just ended up getting piled up. I had to stop and share the food with friends because it was getting to be too much. I think it's worth it if you want fresh healthy meals in controlled portions!
