  • Money was taken from my account same day order was placed. Its been more than two weeks, yet no delivery. The worst part is no phone contact and not response to emails.O have sent several emails and no responds THIS IS A SCAM.RUN

  • complete waste of time, I was a backer like 4 years ago maybe more, they send a lot of notifications and funny enough forgot to send you the notification about the delivery nor respond your emails about your delivery group. And of course how much money you need to pay more for the actual delivery, because you need to pay more, thaa. All fraud!

  • Hitch have appalling customer service and an absolute disregard for the money invested by crowdfunding backers. They have displayed zero understanding or compassion by going to fund significantly behind where they estimated they were in the manufacturing process (delivery claimed for September 2020 with fulfilment only beginning for my 'group' in early 2023. The consequence was they needed to request significant additional funds. They have rejected the following suggestions: 1) I asked if they could cancel my order and refund part of the original amount, less any administrative costs. Many crowdfunding projects offer this should costs escalate, deducting roughly 15% for admin. This was refused as my order for 3 units had "has already been placed and paid for with our manufacturers" (email 28/09/2022). This goes against what had been said about 'you are not pre-ordering a product' per T&Cs. 2) I asked if they could reallocate these 3 units to retail stock and refund these once they had been sold at profit. This was refused as they "are unable to resell backer units", even though they had "manufactured the amount needed" and "will not have extra" (meaning either they haven't ordered 3 units with the manufacturer and could issue a partial refund if they desired or that they will have 3 unallocated units that they could reallocate if they so chose). 3) I asked if they could send me fewer units, so that what they send would not be below cost price and they would not lose any money, and neither would I. Based on their retail sales price, $139 would still turn a profit on an order of 2 units (not to mention the 3rd unit, which would be reallocated and sold at retail). This was also refused. The only solution offered has been to find and pay an additional $125 or lose my $139 pledge. Hitch have acted in breach of Indiegogo's Terms and Conditions and ceased responding to emails as soon as this was pointed out - something also in breech of Indiegogo T&Cs. In requesting an additional $125 over my original $139 pledge, without offering any alternative, I believe the parts they have fallen short of are: - When a project is successfully funded, the creator must complete the project and fulfill each reward. Once a creator has done so, they’ve satisfied their obligation to their backers. - If a creator is unable to complete their project and fulfill rewards, they’ve failed to live up to the basic obligations of this agreement. To right this, they must make every reasonable effort to find another way of bringing the project to the best possible conclusion for backers. - they work diligently and in good faith to bring the project to the best possible conclusion in a timeframe that’s communicated to backers; - they offer to return any remaining funds to backers who have not received their reward (in proportion to the amounts pledged), or else explain how those funds will be used to complete the project in some alternate form. Indiegogo have suggested I pursue legal action.

  • This water bottle is the best! I bought it for my partner and she uses it every single day. Whether it’s the water bottle or the cup for coffee, she loves it. She commutes for work and the fact that she can bring both a water bottle and coffee cup in such a sleek design is key. Unfortunately, we lost the cup immediately and the awesome people at Hitch got us squared away with another one in no time. The people at Hitch are super responsive and so far I’m so very impressed with this brand from top to bottom!

  • My Hitch is my daily companion. I love the design and look and feel of it, and is so helpful for remembering my cup, great upgrade from my separate bottle and coffee cup I used to carry. I love their sustainability and climate focus as well!

  • I really like the bottle for hot soups and hot cocoa. It does a great job of keeping things warm and the built in cup helps a lot. I got mine as a gift and I am very happy with it. The company should get the bottle reviewed more.

  • Got this for my commute on the train and love it. Super sleek and stylish, and takes up way less room in my bag than my old bottle and reusable cup. Recommend!

  • I got one recently, and it's been a gamechanger on my daily commute. Easy to remember by cup now, and really sleek design that I love. Highly recommend it.

  • Exactly 3 years ago I contributed to this so-called campaign. I still haven’t seen a hint about their bottle. This is a nasty joke! I thought about buying the damn bottle as a gift to my family, but instead, I recommend anyone to stay away from this scam of a store. It’s too frustrating dealing with them. Most of the time they do not reply to emails and do not take responsibility for their lack of professionalism. They treat their customers like sh(i)t.

  • I've been carrying this water bottle daily for 10 months (August 2022-June 2023), plus using the thermos 1-3 times per week. Here are the pros: First of all, it is a really cool looking bottle. People comment, everyone thinks it's neat, and that's at least 50% of the appeal here anyway. It also does do the things it promises. The component pieces all fit together well, and it's fun to use for the most part. The cons list is longer, though. As noted by others, it's pretty heavy for a bottle, especially considering that it doesn't have a large capacity, so not good for those who need to store a lot of water at once. It's also already showing significant wear and tear. I expect my high-quality bottles to last for years, but in just 10 months, the rubber piece at the bottom is already coming off and the outside is showing dings and scratches. It also got weirdly stained in the dishwasher, which I can't seem to undo, so it's hand wash only from here on out. The thing that I dislike the most is the leakage, though. The bottle is watertight when screwed shut, but if you've been moving around a lot, the water will collect in the lid and splash out when you unscrew it. It then leaks between the inner bottle and the outer piece, so if you have the coffee thermos stored inside of the bottle, it's covered in water when you pull it out. Are you going to hand your drooly water covered thermos to a barista at your favorite shop? I'm certainly not. The thermos also isn't watertight, which I found out when I waved it around in front of a friend as I tried to show off how well sealed it was, inadvertently proving the opposite point instead. I love the concept, and I wish it worked for me, but it doesn't. I think it would be lighter and easier to just have a regular bottle and a collapsible reusable coffee mug in my purse. Less cool, but more durable and functional for me, and probably also for most people.

  • The product is reasonable and seems to function as expected, although it is really quite heavy for a waterbottle. However, I cannot support this company as their approach to business has been immoral and they frequently have shown little regard for the crowdfunding backers that made their product possible. The rewards were severely delayed, then they forced backers to pay extra for shipping (which had already been paid) and held rewards hostage if they did not pay up. They would not offer backers even a partial refund on the basis of 'we have already produced your reward' even though they were already selling the product elsewhere. In my case they also shipped to the wrong address and took > 5 months to resend the reward. It has finally arrived (hence 2 stars, not one). The product is okay, but the company is not.

  • Like a bunch of reviewers here, I was also a backer of this product way back in 2020. It did take them nearly three years to send me the thing they said they were making, and I was annoyed at how long it took. Seems like they got totally blindsided by several factors, including the difficulties of actual mass-production of their product, the increased shipping costs, and the choke on production lines world-wide. I had basically given up on ever getting one, but the idea still seemed cool. I finally got the thing three years later and it’s great. It does everything they said it would. The cup-in-bottle thing is rad, everything insulated really well and the build quality is top-notch. The volumes they chose for the cup and bottle are practical and correct, it’s sleek and satisfying in the hand. The machining on the cup threading and shell and cap are all nice and solid. I think the design is clever and functions well. As a company, I think they learned a lot of hard lessons early and have come out the other side better off so I hope people who order now have an easier go of it. As a product, I think it’s genuinely cool and a pleasure to use. I was ready to be disappointed after all the delays, but it really is a cool product and I wish them all the success in the future.

  • I work in health care, so I'm constantly carrying around coffee and water. I've lost multiple travel mugs in the hospital and have spend quite a bit on replacing them. Hitch was the answer to what I needed. I bought them after their crowdfunding campaign and the package was delivered promptly. I love the initiative and stances the company takes, which is something I'd also like to mention. The product itself is simple, yet elegant, and is functional and practical. I've been using it for over 6 months now, and it's still standing the test of everyday use, and I haven't lost either the cup or bottle yet! Definitely a worthwhile investment, and I have and will continue to recommend this product to friends and family.

I wish that it kept things a little bit colder for a little bit longer!

  • I backed Hitch on kickstarter. I am a regular backer on kickstarter so I am very familiar with the process. I think the majority of the people complaining or posting bad reviews are not familiar with the concept of a kickstarter. You’re backing an idea, not a complete product so you’re involved with the whole R&D process. Most campaigns don’t meet the original delivery date and in the midst of a global pandemic I think Hitch did a great job under the circumstances. Once I received my Hitch bottle I was very happy with it. It is my go to travel bottle! I love having the coffee cup that stowed away and makes it so much easier to have multiple beverages on the go. The designs were very thoughtful, I especially like the way the coffee mug will lock into the top of the lid of the water bottle. The handle is a great add on accessory. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and get so many compliments when I use it.

My kickstarter experience won’t be the average customers experience. I think the issues that arose were related to needing more updates in the development process but now that the production is complete there isn’t a need for updates. Their customer support is awesome :)

  • The bottle is extremely heavy and clumsy. The parts do not fit together smoothly. The plastic lid is poorly made and breaks easily. My bottle also arrived broken, and is unusable. I was an original Indigogo backer. I received the bottle 2 YEARS after the initial expected delivery date. Like others, I had to pay additional shipping or receive nothing and lose my initial investment. (Total shipping $41).

  • Bought two of them. After waiting two years, paying an extra $70, and many broken promises and suspicious management... I have to say that I'm super disappointed with the product. It's big and clunky, and the canister (although washable) feels like it's going to break. The cup fits into the bottom as promised, and it works as designed. However, there is a scraping sound every time you screw the cup in that isn't the nicest if you're sensitive to those types of things. I recommend buying from a more trusted brand like Yeti or looking for a local brand in your community. :( Super sad cause I was excited about this project and sad to see it botched so badly. With how many issues there were throughout the duration of the IndieGoGo campaign, I'd be hesitant to trust any of the promises (in regard to the quality of the product, delivery time, or environmental commitments) this brand makes.

  • I purchased a green Hitch when I knew my company was finally switching to a hybrid work week and I would be commuting again. What caught my attention was the 2 products in 1 design, and how the cup and bottle fit together seamlessly. I don't like to buy a lot of things -- I'm a quality over quantity gal -- so thoughtfully designed products like this usually catch my eye. I was also pleasantly surprised by the weight, especially after reading some negative reviews. While it is a bit heavier than say a Nalgene, the heft and size make it feel as premium as it looks. I also like that the opening isn't too wide and that it keeps liquid cold for a super long time -- I left my water bottle in my car during a sweltering hot Colorado summer day and after 4 hours the liquid inside was still ice cold. All-in-all I am very happy with my purchase!

  • Got my Hitch a few weeks ago, loving it! Always with me on my commute, love the quality, get lots of compliments! Got it quickly after ordering as well. Love their sustainability mission too.

    All good!

  • Love my Hitch. Really cool concept and gets the job done- keeps my water cold and my coffee warm. when I'm done, I can just slip it together and go. 10/10

  • LOVE!! Now that I have this genius 2-in-1 I can swap my annoyingly messy drawer full of separate coffee tumblers and insulated bottles and streamline (yay). I take my Hitch to work, the beach and even the gym. I love the look on peoples faces, especially at coffee shops, when they see me take out of the nested coffee cup and skip the single-use cups. It does feel good to know I am doing something to help push climate action forward.

I had a super easy experience from ordering online, receiving tracking and updates along the way. The only thing I would do differently is to buy the handle at the same time. You will take this everywhere you go, the handle makes it even easier.
