Reviews mention

  • Clever two-in-one design
  • Solid stainless-steel construction
  • Effective insulation performance
  • Sleek modern aesthetics
  • Poor customer service
  • Chronic delivery delays
  • Fragile plastic lid
  • Heavy overall weight

Hitch reviews show the product largely works as a clever two-in-one bottle-and-cup design—many buyers praise its fit, insulation, and sleek feel—but the brand struggles with chronic delays, broken crowdfunding promises, and poor customer service that leaves backers unpaid or paying extra shipping. Buyers decide based on priorities: choose Hitch for a thoughtful, well-made bottle if immediate fulfillment and reliable support aren’t critical; avoid it if on-time delivery, transparent crowdfunding fulfillment, or responsive service matter.

  • LOVE!! Now that I have this genius 2-in-1 I can swap my annoyingly messy drawer full of separate coffee tumblers and insulated bottles and streamline (yay). I take my Hitch to work, the beach and even the gym. I love the look on peoples faces, especially at coffee shops, when they see me take out of the nested coffee cup and skip the single-use cups. It does feel good to know I am doing something to help push climate action forward.

I had a super easy experience from ordering online, receiving tracking and updates along the way. The only thing I would do differently is to buy the handle at the same time. You will take this everywhere you go, the handle makes it even easier.

  • Love this product! Seriously one of the best purchases I've made, it's a seamless one-hand carry water bottle and I'm forever grateful. It helps me out every morning when I get to work, I was over carrying my water bottle in one hand and coffee in the other along with my laptop bag and lunch bag. It's also very aesthetically pleasing. People are also very interested in the design when they see it! Would definitely recommend.

    It's perfect. No complaints.

  • I bought the 4 Bottle Hitch Perk in 2020 and have been waiting for it be delivered up till today. I'm from Malaysia, and this perk was advertised with free shipping. Now, they are sending me emails asking me to pay another 104 USD which is roughly around more than RM400 just on shipping alone. If you don't pay the shipping fees, they won't deliver your bottles to you which is just a major scam since all 4 bottles cost RM700+.

I ABSOLUTELY DETEST THIS COMPANY AND THEIR FAKE ADVERTISING.

  • I backed early on Kickstarter june 2020 as I liked the concept and was interested. oh boy....its Dec 2022 I still not getting my Hitch. Tried to email them and they don't care about if i get my bottle or not. they are asking for additional shipping fee when we backed the project with the shipping fee included. here is a message i got from Kendalynfrom HITCH "thank you for helping bring our project to life. The support we got from our Kickstarter backers is what enabled us to run and grow our business, gather customer feedback, design new products and improve our initial design. In the Kickstarter community, the items that you receive after making a pledge are referred to as “rewards” because they are not purchases in the traditional sense. Think of rewards as gifts that are sent to our supporters as a token of appreciation for their support of our business." so they are telling us what we paid is a “rewards” so they "Dont have to" ship it to us since its a “rewards” not a purchases in the traditional sense....what a joke? worse company ever!!!!! Scammer!!!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! Scammer!!!!!Scammer!!!!!Scammer!!!!!

  • I backed the Indegogo campaign and was left so bitterly disappointed in their broken promises. I paid for 3 bottles and after years of waiting was told that I would have to pay more than the cost of the original bottles in additional shipping fees. It felt like extortion.

Worst customer experience I've ever had. On principle I would never recommend this company.

  • I wish I could say that Hitch was a great bottle and I was happy I backed then. Unfortunately, after missing a communication that went to an old email (it’s been a few years since I backed) I’ve been told that I will no longer be getting the hitch bottle at all. I understand that this was being manufactured during a difficult time but the Hitch team did not differentiate themselves.

I would not recommend buying from this company. They had delay after delay in manufacturing due to defects in the bottle and I am not confident that their logistics will be improving.

  • Like many, I backed early on Indiegogo as I liked the concept and was interested in it. Well 2019 fulfillment got pushed into 2020 and then Covid... I get it that when you are doing mass tooling etc in Asian countries it can be a bit of a nightmare as a company and that during the height of Covid they had very strict and still do measures however I had backed other campaigns prior and post backing hitch whom all delivered on their promises that were manufactured in China as well. I even communicated my frustration as requested numerous times with them and not a single reply or attempt to reply was done by them despite being guaranteed that there will be. My big frustration is like with others here that they obviously had fulfillment of product during the last 2 years as they opened their own web store and began selling directly to consumer. Usually when this happens the vast majority of backers of the campaign have received their backing and perks not lied to blatantly that "it is a separate production run". Also I agree with others here that yes their communication strategy around why they are now increasing shipping costs is ludicrous... "as a struggling eco company we simply can not continue to absorb any of the increased shipping costs associated with the campaign". Shipping costs have actually been decreasing the last year from the Asian markets and sadly very few companies are passing that savings onto wholesale customers let alone regular joes. My last attempt at talking to Hitch was when they first brought out the excess shipping charge communication. Three years into being a backer and now this? This was actually going to be a gift for a friend in 2020 not even for myself so I had to think about this for a hard minute. I even informed them about this and that they can go ahead and forget about it as I can afford to right it off financially, not something everyone can do I know. They did give us a back door exit out of it by not clarifying the shipping address and paying the shipping excess charge however the initial backing would be non refundable which again is up to the individual campaign but again the vast majority of them do actually refund your backing if something happens that they are unable to continue. Well when I finally got my excess shipping email I did pay it and was should have received my cup/bottle that was for a friend initially by the end of October. Well that turned into early November, and now late November so will see when I actually receive it.

  • Worst experience ever! Do not buy! SCAM ALERT!! They asked us to pay extra shipping. I've received 2 emails for that. When it was for me possible to pay for the shipping, they said they closed that window. That means I paid for a bottle I can't have.

    Everything, this is a scam!

  • Kickstarter seems like a great idea, in theory. You may want to help a company like Hitch develop and deliver a cool idea, but only a small percentage of them ever come to fruition. And in the case of Hitch, they didn’t deliver because I guess they didn’t want to. I pledged $169 back in 2019 with an expected delivery date of Oct 2020. However, due to the pandemic, it was delayed by years, which is understandable. But then they started to deliver to other backers AND started selling their product on the internet. I’ve been waiting 2 1/2 years, and now they tell me that I owe more money for shipping or I get nothing!?! What a scam, one of the many you’ll encounter on Kickstarter. I realize that Kickstart includes that shipping fee increases may be required, but shouldn’t the company be required to ship if they indeed developed the product and are marketing and selling it??? When you back a company through Kickstarter you trust that the people you’re backing will do the right thing… not the guys at Hitch.

They could ship their product as promised.

  • Have been waiting 2 years to receive my bottles via Kickstarter! And they have now asked us for pay extra shipping, twice! $59 to be exact. It's unfair to the consumers, given Hitch is a new company, it's understandable that they eat the cost. Won't be recommending to anyone.

    Operations and customer care

  • As a Kickstarter, people who funded the creation of this havent received their product 2 years later while ppl making orders now are getting theirs. This is unacceptable and has been ignored by the company rather than addressing it. Comments across public platforms calling attention to this are being deleted

    Feedback

They can fulfil their kickstarter obligations and ship orders to backers who have been waiting years instead of new customers who have been waiting weeks

  • Backers haven’t received product in 2+ years. Shipping to some buyers and marketing goes on without concern for original kickstarter/indiegogo investors.
