Co-founders Kat and Jaime decided to launch Heyday Canning Co. after realizing that canned food had so much potential that wasn't being realized. Canned food, after all, is convenient, naturally preserved, and packed in fully recyclable packaging. But the flavor and quality of most canned goods leaves quite a bit to be desired.

These are a great product. I used the enchilada black beans to make a chicken-rice-beans bowl and they added a ton of flavor and texture to the recipe. I look forward to trying the other varieties. 

Tried the Chickpea Curry and Tomato Alla Vodka. Both tasted delicious and had good seasoning. They were perfect to add an extra layer of flavor to a meal. They have some good recipes on their website as well. A bit more on the pricey side but definitely helped me with meal planning.

As a vegetarian I would say I eat a lot of beans. Beans with a good sauce can make a really great meal but can take a bit to make. So I was really excited when I saw this company. I tried the Tomato Alla Vodka beans. I have made my own recipe of these beans many times before. The flavor was okay but not what I would expect for the sauce. I also really wasn't a fan of the consistency. It was too soupy. 

LOVVVVVE these! Harissa flavor Over rice for a super super quick meal. Air fried the coconut curry ones for a crispy amazing snack with whipped feta!!! These are amazing!!!

I was drawn to these beans because of their packaging and the company's marketing and ended up really liking their products! The coconut curry over rice was a quick and easy meal when I didn't feel like cooking. Interested in trying more of their flavors!

Gorgeous cans of beans for gorgeous people. The vodka beans are delicious, I did not love the curry chickpeas. And the initial sticker shock may hurt but ultimately it’s pretty much a full meal and feels (and tastes) more elevated than a can of spaghetti-o’s for sure. 

First thing to note - I bought these during a BOGO sale. I think $4.50 for a can of beans is a high price point, but I think its's important to note that these are not your mother's canned beans. I bought the Tomato Alla Vodka (will update when I try that) and the Kimchi Sesame which I am currently eating as I'm writing this. 

These are phenomenal. Like if I served these to someone, they would not believe that all I did was open a can and microwave it with some rice. The flavor and spice level is absolutely perfect. NOTE: I REALLY LIKE KIMCHI AND SESAME. Unclear how these would be for someone who feels nonchalant about those ingredients.

finally someone is putting a spotlight on the humble bean! A simple and flavorful meal that you can pair with veggies, grains, or eat on its own. A meal this quick doesn’t get much better than this. I’ve tried the harissa lemon chickpeas and enchilada black beans and am eager to pick up the others soon.
