Gussi

I have done keratin treatments for 10 years every summer and swear by them as my summer beauty secret. I was thrilled when his product came out- but also wary. I wasn't convinced I could do it myself and that a natural product would have great results. BUT- after my application I was thrilled with the results. I have medium/thin hair that is really prone to humidity related frizzy and random curls. The gussi system gave me the salon quality sleek hair and waves that I love for a fraction of the price. Given my medium hair length- I only used half the bottle and have another treatment to do- but my treatment lasted 5 weeks well- probably an additional 4 weeks with some impact. Pic attached from a week later with a quick blow-dry in Florida humidity! I would give a 7.5/10 compared to a salon treatment- but the price and convenience and covid-safety make it all a 5 ranking!

I ordered the gussi hair relaxer kit hoping to be able to smooth my hair myself when rhe line at my stylist was months out for the treatment. Sadly- it doesn’t work. It barely smoothed (any frizz ease care product would be more effective). The worst part was that it left a putrid smell on your hair that reemerged each time the hair got wet. Just say no- to Gussi.

I ordered Gussi after seeing many ads on social media and was definitely skeptical, but for the price of around $60 for an at-home keratin treatment, I was willing to gamble. In the past, I've spent hundreds on professional keratin treatments and they did not last that long (maybe two months) even with salon products and application. The packaging was super cute and clear on how to use. I was also happy that it is considered a safer product to use indoors and around others, though the second step spray (the relaxer) does cause some coughing during use. Overall, the process was simple in using the shampoo to clean hair, then spraying the relaxer, and lastly blowdrying and straightening with a flat iron to "activate" and "seal" the product. The difference in shine, smoothness, and less frizz was immediate! While the bottles are small, I've stretched one order for almost 3 uses, which is totally possible for short to medium hair. Overall, I have re-ordered this product and find it to be affordable, easy to use, and effective. Every now and then I'll search salons that do this treatment or research keratin shampoos, but the outrageous costs keep me coming back to Gussi. And I'm looking forward to trying their shampoo and condition, but find it's often out of stock.

Used their product and followed through on instructions, sadly it did not live up to its expectations. After one day, my hair went back to its original state. No transformation in the slightest.
