Reviews mention

  • Effortless, natural makeup effect
  • Beloved, compliment‑magnet fragrance
  • Lightweight, comfortable textures
  • Iconic, chic packaging
  • Sheer, low‑coverage bases
  • Inconsistent scent longevity
  • Occasional packaging fragility
  • Sticky gloss, drying lipstick

Glossier impresses in reviews for delivering easy, natural-looking makeup—standouts include Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the much‑praised Glossier You fragrance—while drawing criticism for ultra‑sheer coverage, inconsistent longevity, and packaging flaws. Reviews say the brand is good for “no‑makeup makeup” days and everyday scent, but skincare feels basic and shade range and recent reformulations (You, Balm Dotcom) disappoint some users.

  • I ordered a cleanser and moisturizer from Glossier, and after using it for a few weeks, I didn't feel like it was anything special. I found it a little bit pricey for what I was getting, and I didn't feel any difference from using it. I ended up returning my products, and the return experience was great and very easy. Customer service was wonderful.

  • I loved glossier when it first came out and loved everything. The mascara was great for a while. The lidstar burned my eyelids anytime I used it and I stopped using any of their products.

  • Amazing fragrances - Ives tried the solid and liquid you perfume, amd the body wash - the most luxurious feeling ever! As for makeup love the mascara none can compare and like blush too!

  • It's a brand made for me: people who find makeup intimidating and want foolproof makeup. I think Glossier really was the first to really do well at this, but more brands (like Sunnies Face) have adopted their ethos recently and improved on it.

Once you know what you like from Glossier, you can easily find much cheaper drugstore versions.

  • i'm easily sucked in by glossier's packaging, but i really only love two products from them- their balm dotcom are very effective at keeping my lips hydrated, and their brow flick eyebrow pen is something i've purchased time and time again, as i find it to be quite a unique product.

realistically, many of their skincare products are subpar, and while the marketing is amazing, the product itself can easily be found elsewhere from different brands for much cheaper. also, being solely an online retailer makes it hard to test out and shade match products.

  • I like this brand, but think they used to have more appeal. I liked boy brow, but not the concealer.

Wish there were more stores or that is was sold at Sephora.

  • I've been using glossier for 5 years and can't give up a few items because they just work perfectly for me. I love the balm dot com, I know it's just scented vaseline in a cute tube but I love that! The glossier you perfume took me a bit to come around to but I love the way it smells on me, doesn't feel too feminine at all which I also love. My cult item is the concealer, I have purchased it so many times and always come back to it. It's thick, creamy, and just enough coverage while still looking like my skin. I don't use any other foundation or anything. I didn't give glossier 5 stars because not all of their products are worth it and they've had some business missteps.

be more transparent about workplace changes after backlash, have a better shade range and more pigmented when releasing colorful items.

  • I love the simplicity of all the Glossier products. The perfume is my absolute fave.

  • I have always struggled with my skin and have tried almost every skincare/cosmetic brand under the sun. Until I tried Glossier, I had almost given up hope of ever having clear skin. I started using Glossier's products throughout the pandemic and I just started to see my skin absolutely GLOW. I now incorporate a variety of their products into my everyday routine, including Future Dew serum, Milky Jelly cleanser, and I use the mascara, brow gel, and of course, the cream blushes. Glossier You is also my go-to perfume and everywhere I go, I am constantly getting asked which perfume I am wearing. I also love the minimalistic packaging that makes it very aesthetically pleasing.

I wish that Glossier was offered in a wider range of locations (Ulta, Sephora, Macy's, etc).

  • Love the lip colors. They are easy to build for a variety of looks which is nice. And they don’t dry out my lips! I like that they are subtle and look forward to trying more from the brand.

  • Cute packaging, strong concentrated blush. Good Array of products without being too overwhelming.

  • I love Glossier and have for awhile. My go-tos are their You perfume, Solution exfoliating solution, and the Boy Brow/Brow Flick combo. I think the brand is very fun and I like that they put skincare first. I love a lighter-coverage, natural idea of beauty and this hits all those boxes for me!

    Feedback

If you prefer a heavier coverage for your makeup, Glossier probably isn't for you. The foundation and concealer are both very light coverage.

  • Glossier can be pretty hit or miss. Sometimes products are so light that they really just don'e work. I am obsessed with the skin perfecting tint though, I hate heavy foundations or bb creams but the skin tint is just enough coverage without feeling caked on.

  • Glossier is a brand that I keep going back to. I tend to think that their face products (serums, powders, tinted moisturizer, bronzer, and balm dot com) are my favorite. Their make up tends to be hit or miss for me but I'm always excited to try their new products. The branding is cool and minimal, the prices are reasonable, and they are super inclusive.

Their eyeshadows and eyeliners are oaky but I think could use a richer formula.

  • I think Glossier is a little overhyped. I love their minimalist and pink packaging. I personally used their mascara which is definitely not worth the money, it was actually one of the worst mascaras I have ever used but if you went a barely there mascara, it could be for you. The brow gel is good but so small that it didn't seem to last very long. I also liked the liquid blush and it was very pigmented but a little difficult to blend.

  • love the perfume and brand mission

could expand and have more products

  • I know there are some who say that Glossier is a bit past its time, and that other newer beauty brands have more interesting and innovative products. But I still appreciate Glossier for the innovations that it did in its heyday! For my own face, I am definitely a fan of the no-makeup makeup look and this is the brand that really captured that aesthetic. Would recommend for those who like to do the no-makeup makeup look!

  • I usually have sensitive skin but with Glossier every product feels light and clean. I especially love their eye shadows!

  • Honestly never been let down by a Glossier product - I repurchase most things I buy from them.

    Could be more shade inclusive

  • Like most people, love the packaging, marketing campaigns and even product names, but the quality of the actual products (particularly the skincare) isn’t worth the price tag. Skincare is average- has made no real difference to skin; it’s fine but just not worth the hype.

Formulations! They could also be more sustainable in packaging.
