Reviews mention

  • Effortless, natural makeup effect
  • Beloved, compliment‑magnet fragrance
  • Lightweight, comfortable textures
  • Iconic, chic packaging
  • Sheer, low‑coverage bases
  • Inconsistent scent longevity
  • Occasional packaging fragility
  • Sticky gloss, drying lipstick

Glossier impresses in reviews for delivering easy, natural-looking makeup—standouts include Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the much‑praised Glossier You fragrance—while drawing criticism for ultra‑sheer coverage, inconsistent longevity, and packaging flaws. Reviews say the brand is good for “no‑makeup makeup” days and everyday scent, but skincare feels basic and shade range and recent reformulations (You, Balm Dotcom) disappoint some users.

  • I am the typical poster girl for Glossier - Millennial, city dwelling, female, into a minimalistic routine. I have some HG items I purchase over and over, and own a few merch items too. I've been following the brand since the "Phase One" skincare set days (IYKYK) and it breaks my heart to see all the reformulations happening recently (balm dotcom, priming moisturizer rich... and milky jelly next).

Pay attention to recent reviews, especially in light of all the reformulations. Customer service has changed as well, they seem to be less generous/forgiving with their return policy nowadays. Free shipping threshold is also higher now.

  • Used their 3 step skincare routine and had my skin feeling so soft and supple. The lip balm doesn’t dry off early and does it’s job perfectly

    I love it

  • I've never gotten something from Glossier that I don't like, but there's also not a single product that I'm in love with or feel like I couldn't get somewhere else. That being said, I think my favorite skin care products are the 3 serums - I love how they feel and my skin likes them. I also like Futuredew although it's a little sticky for me. I usually use it more for makeup than for skincare. I was a little disappointed by the moisturizer moon mask - I just don't like the texture and thickness of it personally and I didn't feel like it did much. I do think maybe their makeup products are better but I haven't tried a ton of them yet.

  • Glossier makes some of the best skincare I have ever used. Their packaging is top tier and their products are some of the best on the market!

  • decent products at a decent price point but nothing to write home about! lots of better indie brands at comparable prices.

  • I love the brand. I love their cloud paint blushed and the balm doc com lip balms. I preferred the older packaging on the lip balms, but i have chronically chapped lips and this is the only lip balm that helps me. I also like their solid perfumes, i wish they had more scents.

I am not a fan of their serums, there are better ones out there for the same price range. I love most of their face makeup products and would recommend them to anyone who loves the clean / minimalistic makeup look.

  • have combo/dry skin and this is perfect! I use it along side Glossier’s Milky Jelly Cleanser and Solution - I think I’ve found my new favorite skin regimen! The scent is very mild. Feels wonderful on and gives a subtle glow. I like how it’s a thicker formula; a little goes a long way! My skin looks happy and feels hydrated and healthy.

  • their products are really amazing, i love their simple and clean approach to beauty! and their aesthetic is one of my favorites.

  • This brand is fine. Everything feels a bit expansive but also muted and small. For how subtle the products are, it would be nice if they were cheaper

  • Glossier is one of those brands that keeps me coming back. They have so many hit products with a few meh products in between, but their hit products are really worth it. Boy Brow, You perfume, their candles, and their Stretch Concealer are all favorites of mine (to name a few). I love that they are fixed somewhere between drugstore and high-end pricing and that they have such a strong community of shoppers. They really tend to the details from their stores to their packaging to their products.

There are a few items that are less than WOW, but overall they are worth the test.

  • The Generation G lipstick in "fuzz" is my go-to daily color for a slightly darker-than-natural lip color! It's a super flattering brownish-pink shade. For reference, I have paler skin, freckles, dark blonde hair and green eyes.

    Feedback

No complaints - I love the flat, wide shape of this lipstick!

  • I tried the milk jelly facial cleanser, Generation G matte lipstick, and the lip balm. I really loved the packaging, the look and vibe of the products, but out of these three products I would probably only buy the cleanser again. It made my face feel so soft, clean, and moisturizer and it was fantastic for taking off my makeup.

I thought the lipstick and lip balms were a bit overrated for the price; the lipstick had very little color payoff (which was, admittedly, expected to some degree)— but enough to really barely make a difference and had this crayon smell that I couldn’t get over. Additionally, it felt a bit chalky/dry on the lips. The lip balm was just okay; a bit steep for what is effectively tinted Vaseline. Thick enough to feel like a lip gloss but without the sheen; it did leave a cute pink tint, but the greasiness of it was too much for daily wear.

  • I bought the glossier cocobutter cookie lipbalm when Glossier dropped in La. Its no longer available i think but i still use it to this day and leaves such a nice feeling on my lips. It never dries it out or leaves a flaky residue. I always mix it with my lip gloss and when I go to give hugs, Ive always gotten compliments on it.

  • Some really good things, and some things that just don’t work for me. Love: their milk oil makeup remover, so gentle and doesn’t irritate my skin Didn’t work for me: their black mascara, you can barely tell I put any on

  • I bought boybrow. It was kind of clumpy and I hardly ever use it, but when I do, I have to remove clumps and sometimes brush off excess with a clean brush. I prefer clear gel over this.
