My name is Louisa and I started the company Funky Fat Foods. Anyone who knows me can tell you that I’m a curious person and quite a character, so my mom assigned me the nickname “LouLou”. My father and I have been business partners since the very start and this is the story of how it all started:

In 2017, I got diagnosed with PCOS which was an absolute bummer since after being told what I had to do to keep it under control, there weren’t many low-carb snack options that weren’t full of artificial ingredients or just plain celery sticks or something. I started sharing my story and, interestingly enough, there were many women going through similar situations as myself. And all I could think of was… can’t I have just one snack that’s tasty and that won’t compromise my health and mess up my hormones?

The answer was staring me in the face. As a chocolate lover, I knew that chocolate was the first thing I wanted to be able to enjoy again freely. And, as I have South American roots, I knew where to find the best quality cacao beans. After countless calls, trips, and taste tests, we released the first dark Keto chocolates in 2018.

4 years in, we’re celebrating being present in all of the EU and the UK. Funky Fat Chocs: A deliciously perfect Keto chocolate, that’s plant-based, no sugar/gluten/soy but with extra MCTs for long-lasting energy without any sugar spikes.
