  • I like this brand and I like this concept. The deeper dive hydrator is nice and it definitely seems like it would be easy to convince a man to use it. The deodorant is in a different format than what I am used to, maybe the lid wasn’t on completely, but every time I use it, the lid pushes up and the product kind of goes everywhere. This is probably just a function of buying the first round of any product that comes out, I will continue to try their products and appreciate what they’re doing. One thing I will add though is that it took me a month to get my order.

  • I've been looking for a non toxic deodorant that actually works and I'm typically never satisfied. Freaks of Nature Deo Duo I think is the best I have found. It still has fragrance in it, but I am picking my battles. Both scents smell SO good — fresh, elevated, and not overpowering. The formula goes on smooth and actually works all day. Definitely a repurchase for me. Update: SAD to report the packaging does not hold up. I love the smell and I love the way it feels on, but the serum leaks through the packaging and gets all over the outside and all over the shelf you have it on, so every time you touch it you get it all over your hands. One of the bottles the top even popped off of and I can't get it back on, so now I can't even use it. :(

  • Created by Kelly Slater, which made me curious enough to try it. The Daily Defender SPF 30 is the best sunscreen I've used for everyday wear — lightweight, absorbs fast, no white cast, and doesn't feel like sunscreen sitting on your skin all day. The Deeper Dive Moisturizer is surprisingly hydrating for something so light. I appreciate that everything is reef-safe and made with naturally derived ingredients. If you spend any time outdoors and want sun protection that doesn't feel like a chore to apply, this line is worth trying. Oh and if you want 15% off, use code LMM15.

  • AVOID THIS PRODUCT AT ALL COSTS. I have not had a sunburn in 5 years and been to several outdoor venues around the country. 1 hour at Carolina Beach and I was burned to a crisp! Sun poisoning for certain. I should've went with my gut and stayed with what I knew. I would have been better off with cooking oil!

  • If you’re like me and sometimes (okay, most of the time) skip out on using sunscreen, you’ll get why I wasn’t exactly reaching for these daily. But then Freaks of Nature by Kelly Slater showed up at my door, and I figured, if the GOAT of surfing is backing a sunscreen, it’s worth trying out. Here’s the lowdown. Starting with the basics—the packaging is killer. Innovative, cool, and eye-catching. The color palette alone makes you want to throw it in your beach bag just to flex it. From a design perspective, it’s one of the best I’ve seen. Now, let’s talk formulas. The daily sunscreen (SPF 30) surprised me. It’s a little stubborn at first and takes a minute to blend in, showing up a bit white before it disappears completely into the skin. Once it’s in, it’s clear, lightweight, and doesn’t leave that dreaded sticky feeling. The real test? A day at the beach—and it passed. The sports sunscreen (SPF 50) also delivered. It’s got a similar consistency to the SPF 30, with that initial white cast that eventually fades with some rubbing in. But, it’s effective. Zero sunburn after a long day in the sun? I’ll take it. The deep dive moisturizer is where it gets interesting. The texture is thick, almost like an oil-serum hybrid, and calling it a moisturizer feels like a stretch. This is more of a “seal everything in” step—oily, a little heavy, and definitely not one of those lightweight, sinks-right-in types. I used it as the last step in my skincare routine, and while it’s not my go-to texture (a bit greasy), it does its job at sealing in moisture. One of the standout factors? The ingredients and the fact that these are ReefSafe products—you can tell that Kelly Slater and team put serious thought into making something that’s not just effective but responsible. It’s clear that these products were crafted with genuine care and expertise. Overall, I’m into the innovation, design, and SPF power here. The moisturizer might be an acquired taste, but props for creating a line that aligns with eco-conscious values and delivers in the sun protection department.

  • Probably a great sunscreen for the beach, but as a daily sunscreen, I'm not a fan of these waterproof mineral sunscreens. It sticks to my skin so much that it won't even come off in the shower, and I can still see the residue on my skin after multiple washes with soap.

  • I have been using Freaks of Nature SPF 30 sun protection and I love it. I love how it goes on, how it feels, and how it works. I've used it to protect my skin during intense all-day beach days. It doesn't make me look like a ghost like other mineral sunscreens, and it doesn't make my skin feel dry or greasy. I'm impressed, and this will be my sunscreen choice going forward.

  • I have both the sunscreen and the moisturizer - both are great. The sunscreen in particular I have been using daily. Rubs in quickly, isn't oily and haven't had any performance issues (put it on before I got out for the day and haven't had to worry about reapplying).

  • Love the packaging, and the product is great. The serum is really smooth and the SPF is light and easy. I was out in the sun most of the day and didnt feel any burning.
