Float Life by Funboy earns generally positive reviews: reviewers say the floats work well for lounging—durable, comfortable, and visually striking—but several report manufacturing defects and air-loss issues that undercut reliability. Strengths cited include sturdy materials, easy inflation, roomy comfort and eye-catching design; weaknesses include occasional leaks/manufacturing faults, inconsistent air retention, limited suitability for rough/river use, and side panels that collapse when sitting. This balances enthusiastic praise for comfort and style with real concerns about longevity and quality control, useful for buyers weighing style versus durability risk.
I have loved my fun boy floaty I have taken it to the pool in the Hamptons. It has come with me to Palm Springs for a Coachella weekend and even made it to a lake in California for a girls weekend. It’s high-quality and that’s held up multiple rounds of inflation, deflation being jumped on, etc. it’s also quite cute for photos
I purchased a float from Fun Boy a year ago but only had the chance to use it last week on a lake trip. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. After inflating it and putting it in the water, it started bubbling and taking on water. Upon inspection, I discovered two identical slits on either side of the arms, indicating a manufacturing defect.
When I contacted customer service with photos and an explanation, they acknowledged the defect but only offered me a 25% discount on my next purchase since I was past the 30-day return window. This experience was really disappointing and makes me reluctant to spend more money on another float from this company.
Additionally, I found many similar reviews on Amazon reporting the exact same problem. Their website, however, is very misleading, showing only positive reviews with 100% satisfaction. This inconsistency raises serious concerns about their quality control and transparency.
