Fellow earns strong reviews for delivering precise, fast-heating kettles and capable grinders that look striking on the counter, with temperature control and consistent pour cited as standouts. Reviews also flag weaknesses: slow gooseneck flow for non–pour-over use, grinder mess/static and limited espresso fineness (Gen 1), finish chipping/rust in some mugs and kettles, occasional loose lids/buttons, and vacuum canisters losing seal.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
We have the bean grinder and it is so close to greatness. I like how it allows us to fine tune our beans for however we are preparing our drinks. We usually switch between espresso and french press, which are much different grinds. The design is clever and easy to use. But! Our grinds keep getting stuck. We've had to take it apart to get it cleaned out. It's frustrating but we are working around it.

Interior grinder gets coffee grinds stuck in it too easily.
Great highly engineered products and they really put the customer first. I have the grinder and it has been a huge upgrade on my previous burr grinder and as they iterate and improve it they have made those improvements available for free! Coffee storage products are also great and have kept our coffee much fresher

I was gifted the Fellow electric kettle for my birthday and it is legit one of the best gifts I've ever received! It makes dialing in the perfect temperature for light roast, vs. dark roast, vs. matcha soooo easy and it's super quiet.

Sometimes the dial gets stuck on a number / doesn't make it to the boiling point I've set for it and I have to reset the product.
Functional and pretty on the counter. Recommend

Concerned about how the matte finish will hold up over time. But for now it is still looking great.
Cute packaging, excellent product. I use my kettle almost daily.
Received a Fellow Stagg EKG Electric Kettle for my wedding. It is gorgeous, and it does what it promises to do (heats water quickly to a precise temperature and keeps it there for a lengthy but safe amount of time). It costs $165, which is objectively a lot for an electric kettle, but we use it 6 times a day and it brings us joy every time.
Feedback
The one complaint I'd share is that the single on/off button only works 50% of the time, and often needs to be pressed twice. Pretty significant flaw on an otherwise super sleek item.
Not only are fellow products beautiful looking they are extremely functional. They on the move mugs are the best and although they are on the expensive side they are worth every penny. I recommend them to everyone and most recently gave them as gifts to our bridal party. Truly amazing products.

I have their Ode Grinder, and it’s incredible.
Fell in love with the kettle at a B&B so bought one for myself. The fastest temperature specific kettle I’ve used. It looks great, easy to use and clean. I got the gooseneck kettle and though it’s great for pour over coffee, it takes forever to pour if you’re looking to do a regular cup of tea or boiled water like 80% of the time. I did browse in store in the mission (SF) when deciding which kettle to buy and the employees completely ignored me though not a single other person was in the store. Not a great in person experience.
I love my tea kettle! It’s helped me have more tea throughout the day!
I have the staff ekg electric kettle and the ode grinder and both were such good investments. I started using the staff ekg when I was a barista and it was a game changer! Boils so quickly and hold the temp so you don’t have to reheat like you have to on a stove. The ode grinder has made making my daily cup so much quicker!

Great design but not sure if I’ll buy the kettle again. The led screen barely works now

I use the electric kettle every day and I love it. The design is simple, minimal, and elegant. I have not had any issues with the product.
I purchase their Fellow travel tumblr and it is a very cool looking tumblr and is perfect for car trips, however the one that I am not a fan of is that the rubber ring that holds any leakages is very easy to lose.

Make the sealant more permanent instead of it having fall off everytime it gets washed.
I have their mugs and grinders. They look great and are nice reliable products.

The swan neck spout encourages me to take my time pouring over tea and coffee. It makes every morning super meditative. It pulls so much electricity as it heats my that the lights in my kitchen flicker during the beginning of the heating process. Might say more about the electricity in my apartment than it does about the kettle though... Beyond that, Fellow customer care team rocks! After a friend accidentally put my electric kettle on the stove, they helped me get a replacement with ease!
I have the electric kettle and love it. It’s very precise and I love the gooseneck shape. It gives great control for making teas and coffees.

This company is killing it. As a designer I find myself V excited about what they make next.

We have multiple travel insulated mugs from them, and the coffee grinder, and the regular and electric stagg kettles, and pour over carafe and pour over metal thing. We have a lot of their stuff. The grinder and e kettle and travel mug that works with the pour over are part of my daily routine now. The electric kettle is the best! Super fast heating. The grinder once started making a weird noise about 6 months after we got it but my husband fixes it easily. The XL pour over filters are annoyingly unique sized and I’m waiting on a reusable filter to arrive from the UK that is supposed to be a fit. The travel mugs and other metal things DO lose their color coating in the dishwasher, as in it begins to flake off so I now hand wash those. Also the color of my pink mug is noticeably faded compared to the lid which I don’t use as much and have not washed as much. So I think the products have a lifespan of <5 years, definitely not heritage quality. I’ve said a lot of critical things here but honestly it all works well for day to day and I’m not going to invest another $400-500 in another set up so here we are.
