  • I’ve been a subscriber for a few years and it seems that the boxes just get worse and worse every season. They take whatever promo/PR items they have lying around and just throw something together. A bottle of water and some cough drops? Come on!!!

  • I do not receive texts reminding me (after setting up twice) about what to pick for my box. Therefore I get the bs leftovers. Examples: a cactus shaped water bottle, butter keeper, rolling pin, different sized serving dishes over and over that i will never use. All the bottom of the barrel leftovers. I just canceled my subscription. The customer service people are AWESOME. HOWEVER this company absolutely SUCKS. Do not subscribe.

  • It’s a great way to try out great products at a low price. I love the beauty and makeup products.

  • I received a subscription as a gift. I think it’s fun to get a box but it’s not always worth the cost. You get to pick your contents but honestly the retail prices seem a little high to me.

It’s fun to get the box but not always worth it.

  • The seasonal boxes were ok. By the time you selected your items, you'd get only if still in stock, otherwise...surprise and disappointment. It became worthwhile when I became an annual subscriber and almost always got what I requested. The sales were great but then I'd spend so much $$ due to great deals. The reason I unsubscribed was because I had so much stock. A year later I still have these high quality, full size items. I loved it and know I'll be going back soon.

Great quality, full sized product. I was at Nordstrom Rack and saw a moisturizer I got from FFF and it was discounted to $50. Wow. FFF is worth it.

  • Fabfitfun used to be great, but it seems to be going downhill. Part of the problem is that I have gotten too many boxes. You can expect any subscription box to start to become repetitive after a while. They establish relationships with brands and keep putting those same brands in the boxes. It makes sense. Thus, if you stay subscribed too long, there's just a natural tendency for brands and even items to repeat. If you need more, great, if not, you get frustrated. An example for me is that FFF works a lot with Kate Somerville. I tried her exfolikate through FFF, but it is too expensive to buy retail. When I can get it through FFF, I am happy, but I don't necessarily want all KS products. I am sometimes happy to see KS in the boxes, but not always. However, to keep existing customers, boxes need to add new brands and items in with the old. FFF has been falling down in this area. For the past couple years, they have had only one or two items that excited me. When I quit, those items just weren't exciting enough and I didn't mind missing out on them. I thought I'd only skip a box or two and come back for fall and winter, which are my favorite seasons, but they weren't exciting either. This brings me to another point that's related to this problem specifically because of how FFF used to work... FFF puts out only 4 boxes a year and then sells off remaining inventory to subscription members. In theory, this is great. It should allow them to sell items to those who may have missed something in the past or who want refills while bringing in those new items. It also allowed them to focus heavily upon the four seasons. I can't wait for spring and summer to be over. I'm just not a fan of beaches and typical warm weather items. So when fall and winter rolled around, I would be excited to see candles, blankets, indoor activity items, pumpkin/peppermint, mugs, you name it! But it had to speak to fall and winter. They used to do that so well. However, and this affected almost all sub boxes, when covid hit, boxes relied heavily on skin care. It made sense. For the subs that were specifically beauty focused, people didn't want/need as much makeup or hairstyling products. But they still wanted to take care of their health, including the skin. So all boxes, including FFF, made connections with skincare brands and they haven't moved away from including too much skincare yet. As for me, I got Ipsy and Boxycharm for beauty stuff. I didn't and still don't want much of that in FFF. You can kind of gear skincare to the season--heavier creams for winter vs lighter gels for summer--but at the end of the day, it is still just a moisturizer. It doesn't scream fall/winter the way getting a blanket to snuggle under while burning a pumpkin candle and sipping hot chocolate from a mug warmer set and sporting thick socks does. And that's a big reason I lost interest. There was no longer any fall and winter to their fall and winter boxes. The bottom line is this...If you have never gotten FFF or got one or two boxes a long time ago, check the spoilers. If they look good, it may be worth it to subscribe. (Just keep in mind that unless you sign up for a year, the really big ticket items might be 'sold out' during early customization for those yearly subscribers. So you may want to try and wait to see what's left if you only want one box.) However, after a while, you can probably expect things to become repetitive. Expect too much skincare for the foreseeable future. And don't think the summer box and winter box will be drastically different like they used to be. You might not be able to tell them apart much at all. FFF used to be a 4 or 5. Now they are more like a 2 or 3 and sometimes even a 1. I think 3 is fair to generous for how they are now in February of 2023.

FFF, if you are listening, cut back *drastically* on the skincare. (I would be fine if you eliminated it from the boxes and only offered it for sales, but I assume this isn't possible. At the very least, only offer skincare in one category per box.) Bring back items that really speak to the season of the box. Also, bring in new brands so long time subscribers aren't bored.

  • My first order they charged an extra 399$ saying I subscribed to something I never even heard of. Then refuse to take it off saying it was with a 3rd party. Customer service was crazy waiting while they were waiting on 10 other people at the same time. I'm so sorry I joined. You really can't trust any of these sites anymore. I'm now editing my review because they did make things right in the end. After a bad start I've really enjoyed the boxes.

  • I've been subscribed on and off to Fab Fit Fun for a few years and it's always a hit or miss. I sign up because I get hyped about a box but then I'm let down by another. If you miss the customization you are basically screwed. The "personal survey" is useless and there is no way to tailor automatic choices if you don't want to pick. The dates change (i thought the spring box wouldn't even be ready until march or April but it arrived in February, its not even spring yet). It's consistent let down with the products. There are a few really good items but they're usually gone if you don't get in the second customization is opened. if you're a day or even a few hours behind then you basically get useless junk that just clutters up. That's if you are an annual member too. To be honest it isn't worth it. Sure you get stuff worth more but its often just expensive trash that you don't really need. There are no exchanges or returns so don't even bother. Customer service is also not super helpful as there is nothing they can really do. I was having issues with my text message reminders not getting received and they couldn't even test to see if I was getting the messages. I have to wait until the next box to see if I get the messages.

It's a hit or miss really. Sometimes you get lucky and get a good box with mostly decent items but on average, they are useless and subpar.

  • I’d leave zero stars if I could. I’ve been a loyal customer for several years and I’m cancelling immediately. Their product quality has gone downhill and their customer service is worse. Contacted them 6 months ago because a product was defective. They offered me a credit which I never received and found out 6 months later when I tried to use it. Had to contact customer service again, for the same issue they should have already addressed. I could only find how to send a text message to do so. It took 6 HOURS for them to respond and another 1 HOUR of texting back and forth. The representative made several more errors while attempting to help me and the end result was not at all satisfactory. They would only agree to giving me the original credit I never got 6 months ago, and a lacklustre apology for their poor customer service and 5 problems that they created while attempting to fix the first one. Save your money, there’s better boxes out there.

Save your money! Go with one of the other subscription boxes that have better pedicure and customer service.

  • I used to love fabfitfun. I started off as a seasonal member for a few years, and then switched to an annual subscription. Unfortunately, I've started to receive items that were shipped in previous boxes. I totally understand that they may run short on the products they are promoting, but I would think they would check to be certain that customers haven't received these items previously. I think there are a good selection of items sent every month and customer support is excellent. (As long as you don't get items previously sent)

I think they should be more concerned with the subscription boxes and less on the add on sales that they keep pushing on you. I had received a shipment notice on November 12 for an add on item and still haven't received it. When I checked the tracking, it seems as though they only have managed to print the packing slip. It hasn't been shipped yet. They need to slow down and manage each department correctly

  • Enjoyed some products highly but after awhile, I found the choices of really good products to be limited and then there was a limited supply offered so you weren't guaranteed to receive some things. Lots of makeup options too which is not for everyone. Needs wider range of product options if you're not into makeup.

    Feedback

Membership is confusing and doesn't offer clearer explanation of shipments and billing. I also found it expensive overall.

  • I had FFF for 5 years before cancelling back in 2019. In the end, I accumulated so many beauty products + items that were essentially junk or bad for my skin. It's "fun" for a season or two, but the quality of the products has declined significantly since I first joined. (Also, it dropped the "fit" part of the name in exchange for an online video platform just to satisfy investors)
