I received this lighter as a gift, and it was completely unusable right out of the box. It was properly filled and handled exactly as instructed, yet it would not function at all. For a product marketed and priced as a premium or luxury item, this was extremely disappointing. What made the experience worse was the customer service. After reaching out to Eddie Parker, I was referred to the warranty company, which then suggested I would be responsible for shipping costs to repair a product that arrived defective. Expecting a customer to pay out of pocket to fix a brand-new, nonfunctional item is unacceptable. The lighter itself may look nice, but appearance doesn’t matter when the product doesn’t work and the company does not stand behind it in a meaningful way. At this price point, basic functionality and responsive support should be a given. I would caution others to think carefully before purchasing. Luxury pricing without luxury quality or service is not worth the frustration.
