Dyson impresses in reviews for delivering powerful, thoughtfully engineered vacuums and hair tools that reduce frizz, speed styling, and handle pet hair and fine dust with ease, yet the brand divides on longevity and practicality. While cordless models like V12/V15 and hair tools such as Airwrap and Airstrait win praise for performance, convenience, and design, critiques cite short battery life on “max,” heavy or fragile components, tricky emptying, inconsistent curls, and difficult repairs or parts sourcing.

I never, ever used heat styling products on my hair until I bought the Air Wrap. It's so easy--and honestly very fun--to use. Is it worth $600? Definitely not if you can already style your hair. But if you struggle to curl your hair or give yourself a blowout, definitely hop on FB marketplace and see if you can grab one secondhand. In NYC, the secondhand going rate seems to be around $350. Beware of scams, and make sure to meet up in person before you send anyone any money!

I took the bait. Thought the cordless vacuum was going to be awesome, it was horrible. Then it became my fault again when I bought the next years model, that was equally as bad. The battery life is great, if all you plan on vacuuming is a small office. But if you plan on doing more than one room, you’re better off going with something else. I personally switched to Shark at my home and office.

I have a cord-free vacuum cleaner at home. I love the design, color, and convenience. However, the power is slightly too weak. It does not hoover up the dust perfectly compared to the high price. I would like to try some other products from Dyson, such as air purifiers and hair dryers.

I have 3 Dyson vacuum cleaners: 2 cordless and 1 corded. I bought the first one probably ten years ago and it still kicks butt. I have dogs so I need a vacuum on each floor plus one for the car. The only thing you have to remember to do is wash the filters every once in a while (they say once a month but who actually does that??), otherwise it starts smelling but other than that, putting it together is very intuitive, it's easy to clean the brushes if hair gets tangled up in it, easy to empty it, and easy to use - especially the cordless one.

Never understood the hype until I got one. Truly a game changer and worth every penny.

I have nothing but great things to say about my Dyson. All of my vacuums, big and small, are Dyson. My air purifiers are Dyson. I used to have different air purifiers but since upgraded to Dyson. The Dyson air purifiers are much more quiet and easier to clean, and they do the job of keeping a room cold or warm. I choose this technology because it's superior in every way. A con is that it's expensive, but it's worth it. It does the job of five plus technologies in one, and lasts decades. You can't find this tech anywhere else.

Just get it!!! I was hesitant and didn’t think it would live up to the hype but I was so wrong!! All the different pieces mean you can change the head to suit how you want to style your hair. My go to that I mostly use is the brush with ceramic tips because it is so quick and easy to dry my hair and reduces the frizz I’d normally get with a regular hair dryer. Granted, it can be hard to achieve the blow out look but that’s the same with any hair dryer

Replaced our upright corded vacuum with the Dyson 10, and it's been such a life changer. It's so much easier to clean, and it's stronger too, especially with picking up litter and pet hair. It's lighter weight, and with it being cordless, it makes it way easier and faster to vacuum our space. We haven't had any issues with the battery life yet, but we're in a condo space, so that might be why.

Our Dyson V12 vacuum actually scares me by how much dirt, dust, and pet hair it pulls out of seemingly clean carpet. I purchased their hair dryer as a gift for my wife, and we take it everywhere. Neither one of us can go back to a typical hair dryer. Their products come at a premium, but it's one of the few brands that I trust will be worth the price - and if they release one, a newer model will actually be a noticeable upgrade.

I purchased a Dyson Air cleaner a few years ago with the intention of giving it to my wife who has severe allergies. Reading so many reviews and investigating other brands, steered me to Dyson. I was apprehensive to spend almost $900 for this unit, and actually drove to a nearby town to purchase it. My wife was aghast when she learned what I was spending. The unit was a gift for her but she was not amused at all considering the cost. I brought it home and set it up, used it off and on for 2 years until the warning that a new filter was necessary. Searching for a replacement filter proved to be a struggle and when I learned that the filter alone would be another $100, I put that project on hold. Dyson, if you truly want to sell premium products, you should probably find a more accessible price point for the filters. This unit is still sitting unused until I can muster up the dollars to purchase a new filter. If I can find one. Why can't the user simply clean out the existing filter to extend its usefulness ? Dyson needs to address this cost issue or it's going to lose customers.

Best hoover ON THE PLANET !!!! Honestly, it is expensive, but 100% worth every penny of it. It is light, the batterie life is long, charges very fast and it does the corner very well! When I go to my boyfriend and have to use his hoover it is just giving me nightmares since I have tried this one, I would say this is part of the cons haha

The Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners have changed my life. Super effective, easy to empty the canister, and they have an excellent replacement program. We have one that is 7-8 years old and we still get parts for it by emailing their local office.

I got a Dyson v8 Animal at Best Buy a few years ago. I have the worst allergies and knew that adopting a puppy into our home could be difficult. It's been almost 3.5 years, and it still works great. Easy to clean and fix (if it sucks up too much dog hair). I have also used the detachment to clean my car and, during camping, to clean the inside of the tent. This has honestly been my bf, and I's an unsung hero. We also have a Dyson Pure Cool Fan, which has forever cooled down our hot bedroom that faces the sun and has helped with my allergies. These two have been my 'adulting' must-haves. Never been excited about a vacuum until now.

Now this is out of pure laziness, but I would love to have a second filter included with both of these just in case.

Love my Dyson vacuum cleaner. The main downsides are: way too expensive; hard to clean sometimes; and the canister fills up quickly.

I just purchased the Dyson V15 Detect and I LOVE it!! You would never know how much actual dust you have on your floors until you see it under the green laser light of the Dyson V15 Detect. It's got great power and on Eco/Medium mode you can honestly vacuum for AT LEAST 40 minutes before needing a charge. I've only been using it for a monthy, but with two new kittens at home it's becoming a great tool to have around and be able to easily clean at any moment.

I would definitely recommend going with the V15 Detect. OR try what I originally wanted, which was the V15 Detect Absolute which is $50 more but was out of stock. If I had the choice now I would have waited to purchase that one because it has the HEPA filter and comes with the extra tool so that you can reach all the way under the bed with ease. I can purchase that separately which will cost me the $50 I would have spent on the Absolute and would also have the HEPA filter.

I have the hairdryer. I love it! From the first day I've noticed the difference from a normal hairdryer. I bought the normal one, not the one that straights and curl your hair. I feel my hair more smooth, care and shines more than ever.
