Reviews mention

  • Textured floss removes stubborn plaque
  • Chic refillable packaging aesthetics
  • Playful, unique flavor variety
  • Gentle, gum-friendly floss feel
  • Thick strand jams in tight contacts
  • Occasional shredding and fraying
  • Subtle, short-lived flavor scent
  • Toothpaste lacks brisk freshness

COCOLAB earns polarized reviews: many report its textured, expanding Cocofloss cleans noticeably better and even wins dentist praise, while others find the thick strand shreds or gets stuck in tight contacts and around crowns. Reviews also celebrate playful flavors, cute refillable packaging, and sustainability-minded touches, but note inconsistent flavor strength and frequent fraying, plus mixed experiences with toothpaste texture and freshness.

  • I love the range of flavors Cocofloss offers - lots of fun ones to pick from. The floss itself is a bit thick. The gaps between my teeth are pretty narrow, so I struggle with this floss getting stuck.

  • This thick floss is recommended to me by my dentist to try out. Since I have a large gap between my molars, my dentist said this thick floss might be able to grab on to more and clean faster for me. But since it's thicker, it'd take me more time and more care to wiggle it between my teeth every single time. Flossing is already time-consuming. Flossing with Cocofloss is even worse. Now the box is eating dust behind my bathroom mirror.

  • Love their floss. It's a lot thicker than other flosses and leaves my gums feeling really strong and clean. Cute packaging too!

  • YES! Even my dental hygenist praised me for using this brand because floss picks don't really get in the deep spots of your mouth. Love the reusable case it comes in because it has a 30-90 day mark of how long the spool might last when it gets to that point. I find 1 spool typically lasts 2-3 months. Cocofloss brings flavors outside of just mint like confetti, banana, pineapple to make your dental hygiene fun!

Not sure if cocofloss is available in stores but it would be really ideal to have them carried at a target or something

  • Love the thickness. The flavors. The beautiful packaging. Really excavated my gums.

  • I started my textured floss journey with Listerine Reach Ultraclean floss with micro-grooves. It removed the staining between my teeth, but I wanted floss that I could get somewhere other than Amazon and that wasn’t plastic, and that’s when I tried Cocofloss. I’ve been using Cocofloss for several months now and I love how it makes my teeth feel. I really feels like it removes the sticky plaque from my teeth!

Two things to note: 1) I love that there’s an option to purchase refills, but I wish their limited edition scents were also available to refill. 2) I also love that Cocofloss is an expanding floss, but the space between my teeth are very tight so the floss often tears. Unfortunately, this means that sometimes I’m left with bits of floss in between my teeth.

  • I am a cocofloss FAN! For me, it's satisfying how much tartar can be removed due to the design of the floss, so it motivates me to floss my teeth more! A virtuous behavior loop. I went from "flossing feels like a waste of my time and not worth the hassle" to "Flossing with cocofloss seems so much more effective, I'm excited to do it." It is a thicker floss, so if you haven't flossed a ton normally, it might be better to work your way up to this! I absolutely recommend this to my friends and regularly push it! :)

  • Cocofloss is cute, but pricey. If you're enthusiastic about dental hygiene you should try it out- it has a more cottony? texture and smells really good. It's fairly easy to refill, although I'm not sure how many people actually choose to go that route.

I received Cocofloss through BirchBox, where it was heavily discounted in a gift set. It's more expensive than standard floss, and it's unclear how beneficial it is for the environment. It's also quite thick and ends up fraying easily. Cocofloss is definitely a different experience from standard drugstore floss- the thicker, fibrous floss might be better for removing plaque, but I think regular floss works just fine.

  • The flavor of the orange and coconut flosses are not nearly as strong as the mint. It gets the job done, but I didn’t feel that there was anything special or unique about this gloss.

More floss flavor in non-mint flosses

  • I'm not someone who flosses a lot (sorry to the dentists reading this) but sometimes when I have been flossing my dentist thinks I haven't?? I started using this floss and I'm 100% certain it takes out more gunk than the Crest Glide floss that I've bought in bulk at Costco.

  • Fun flavors, works so well and really clears up any gunk between teeth

  • Seriously the best floss you’ll ever use, coming from a Dental Hygienist. I recommend this to any and all patients. I also use this everyday in my personal routine. Floss is thick enough to pull out all plaque but coated with coconut oil for easy glide. Not only that- there is a flavor anyone would like. I am a big fan of the wild strawberry. In addition Cocofloss uses recycled packaging with the environmental factors in mind.

  • Love flavors and quality of floss. Gave as stocking stuffers for whole family. My young adult children also loved.

  • I love that this company keeps sustainability in mind! You refill the container with floss rolls, cutting down on plastic waste. The floss and thick and really gets everything out. The flavors are also super unique and something I've never found anywhere else!

    Feedback

Sometimes the floss is a little too thick to fit between my teeth (they're very close together) - maybe an option for thinner floss.

  • It made me WANT to floss. The smoothness really helps navigate between teeth, the thread is strong, and the flavor was just enough.

    Feedback

The box design is lovely. I’d love the option of a larger size.

  • This is the best floss. You do actually need it. I doesn't ever break, it's textured in a way that is very effective, the scent/taste is always pleasant (even for the more out-there flavors) and the containers are refillable. I've gotten this as gifts for a few people and they have loved it.

    Feedback

Sometimes when refilling the containers, the floss will unravel in a way that makes it tough to close again. I haven't quite worked out the issue there, but it would be good for them to provide some additional direction to make sure this isn't a frequent result of refilling their containers.

  • This floss was recommended by my dentist, and it's probably the best floss I've tried - it's thick and has a sort of coating that provides a really good amount of friction, so it scrubs between my teeth and gets debris out better than usual.

    Feedback

Main complaint is that it's definitely on the pricier side for floss!

  • The thickest floss I've ever tried, honestly a bit intense! Definitely does the job well.

    Feedback

    Maybe a variety of thicknesses

  • LOVE IT. This is the only floss brand that doesn't have that gross dentist office smell. You know what I'm talking about, the glove smell. I absolutely love the soft texture of the floss, it's so nice and fluffy on my sensi gums. Highly recommend these as holiday stocking stuffers as well!

    No, it's perfect.
