Continuing search for trainers that reduce impact on arches, and stabilize ankles. These are very supportive especially when paired with orthotics. Comfortable, though I don’t see a huge difference between this brand and Saucony (and from a purely aesthetic perspective, I prefer the latter).
The picture I am including is of a backup pair of Brooks that are used as yard work shoes now. I mention this because normally by the time my shoes are ready to be "retired," they are completely falling apart. Yet these are still usable years later, which is very impressive to me. While using them full-time, they were very reliable and comfortable for walking and running, along with other workouts like weightlifting.
Overall I love this brand and their slogan "Run Happy" is inspirational and shows that running can be enjoyed by anyone. A good reminder to run because you love the sport not for other reasons. I used to run in their shoes all the time, but as I became more of an avid runner I realized there were lighter versions out their. Brooks shoes tend to run on the heavy side, which is fine for many, but when I started running at the collegiate level, I needed to switch to a lighter option. However they make great quality shoes and you can't go wrong with purchasing from the brand.

I have high arches and some foot issues and Brooks have saved me! A little pricey but not terrible for the quality. They’re also not the MOST stylish, but the comfort is worth it. I use the Ghosts for running and the Addiction Walkers for everyday walking. I actually prefer the look of the Addiction Walker 1 over the newer version (slightly better profile) so I’m always on the hunt for the old model online.
