I am a huge fan of Book of the Month. I really appreciate that if you're not interested in any of the options for that month, you can easily skip OR you can choose from a smaller selection of past books. I look forward to the beginning of every month and getting to see the choices.

Made a great gift! Probably wouldn't buy it for myself since I like to research books and add to my own to-read list but would definitely gift again.

It's how I'm building my library now. Great book suggestions! It's also awesome to get new releases at a reduced cost! Can't recommend this more.

I love the concept of Book of the Month! I have skipped multiple months because I have not been interested in the book choices but I love how each month I have the option to choose, the recommendations and book reviews!

I wish I could pick any book from their library each month instead of just one of the five they choose for that month!

I received BoM initially as a gift - but have kept the subscription going since. I trust their reviews and recommendations and have discovered a few gems via their monthly picks. Sadly, I don't have the time to read a new book each month... but they make it easy to skip.

I think the idea is actually great, but I think the outcome is terrible. Let me explain, so you get to pick a book every month from a selection of books, but don’t worry if there’s not a book that you seem to like then you can get a credit to add a book the next month. These credits do expire, and you can’t use them unless you have an active subscription. THEN let’s say every month the selection sucks, and you want to cancel but have all these credits and have other books picked out….here’s the kicker….you have to pick a BOTM in order to ship those other books. 🥲 I might just cut my losses and pick a book so I can just cancel with all my creds. Whoever is curating only seems to like thrillers/psychological, mysteries right now, and the other books from previous months were a little too “liberal” (that’s the only way to really describe it) for my taste. I just don’t like my books always having to highlight politics….I want an escape from this world, not living, reading, and breathing politics.

Constant issue with having to update my card info, even though funds available. When called CS, told me I had to install Chrome on my iPhone in order to update card info. I didn't have to in order to sign up, not sure why all a sudden that would be an issue. Don't like being lied to or crappy customer service, so since they can't provide adequate customer service in a short 3 months of starting the service, I canceled.

Not really any better than what you find in the store and had to wait on the book they suggested due to high demand.

Absolutely love the variety of books they offer! Super fast shipping, great customer service and it’s easy to skip if you want to take a month off! The hardcover books are so affordable and great quality!

This is such a fun concept but I wish you could choose from a paperback or a hardcover book. I feel like hardcover books take up so much more space and they are much more difficult to take with when you're on-the-go but that is just my personal preference!

I love BOTM! I've been a subscriber since January of 2022 and have enjoyed getting hardcover books in the mail each month. Some months have been better selection than others, but all around, it's great!

I'd love to see more diversity in both authors and genres.

I love the concept and community associated with Book of the Month, but I felt the quality reduced over time. It seems almost all the books are within a similar genre and quality- vs branching out to books beyond the "beach read for millennials".

I've been a BOTM subscriber since 2017. For the first few years, I was highly impressed with the monthly picks. As of late, however, I've been skipping left and right, even putting my membership on pause. They used to include a lot more literary choices, but I think have scaled back in favor of books that might be more popular with the average reader.

Bring back your curator! Or, re-strategize how you select your monthly picks. Also, I'll be turned off if they increase the prices any higher. For $10/month, it was an incredible deal. I think now the membership is $15/month, but if it goes any higher, it's the same price as buying a new hardcover book from the store.
