Blume draws strong reviews for gentle, good‑smelling skincare that calms breakouts—especially the Meltdown acne oil—yet feedback is mixed on potency for severe or cystic acne. Reviewers praise effective spot care, soothing textures, thoughtful formulas, and inclusive mission, but cite inconsistent results, occasional strong scent, packaging shifts from glass to plastic, and perceptions of paying for branding.

I tried Blume because I saw 8 million ads about how their Melt Down oil can get rid of acne quickly. Spoiler: it does not. Here is more about my experience: Melt Down Oil - I really wanted to like this, but I felt it didn't do much. It definitely helped hydrate, but for those deep cystic zits, it didn't really make a dent. In fact, I noticed tiny ones forming around where I tried to treat it. I wouldn't repurchase Superpower Clay Mask - This mask came with the oil in a bundle, and I actually didn't mind it. It is a typical clay mask, wasn't overly drying and gave me a nice, clean feeling after use. I likely wouldn't repurchase just because I have clay masks I like more.
