  • Plastic-free packaging elegance
  • Light, pleasant fragrance profiles
  • Effective dishwasher tablet cleaning
  • Space-saving refill tins
  • Fragile, finicky pump mechanisms
  • Streak-prone glass cleaner formula
  • Inconsistent laundry tab dissolution
  • Underpowered greasy-mess cleaning

Blueland impresses in reviews for delivering effective, low‑waste cleaning—dishwasher tablets, foaming hand soap, toilet tabs, and laundry routines often perform as well as conventional options with lighter, pleasant scents and compact, plastic‑free refills—so the brand is good for everyday cleaning. However, reviews flag inconsistent cleaning strength for heavy messes (glass cleaner streaks, dish powder and some sprays underperform), dissolving issues with laundry tabs, and widely reported failures of plastic “forever” bottles, pumps, and sprayers.

  • Other reviewers have shared the same sentiment. Blueland is beautifully designed but their products are hit or miss. Here are the things I love: - Hand soap w/ bottle - Dish sponge Here are the things that could be improved: - Dishwasher tabs - these do not clean greasy dishes at all - Body wash - didn't enjoy the soap and the container is still plastic

  • Blueland is great. I love the hand soap tabs! The soap does feel a little “thin,” so if you’re used to scrubbing with a thick hand soap, blueland soap will feel different. I especially love how the brand is evolving and bettering their current products rather than creating new ones all the time. for example, the new foaming hand soap pump works beautifully! It glides so smoothly compared to the original soap dispenser pump

  • I don't have an issue with the effectiveness of the cleaning products - I've used the toilet cleaner tabs, dishwasher tabs, hand soap, multisurface, glass cleaner and bathroom cleaner. The glass cleaner is the only one I have no intent to repurchase. My issue is with the spray bottles and hand soap bottles. I bought my sets in 2020. I went all in and bought a hand soap for each bathroom in my house and a full set of spray bottle cleaners. It was a bad idea to be an early adopter. The spray bottles were plastic and performed very poorly. One cracked for no explicable reason within a month or so or receipt (e.g. I didn't drop it off the counter) and leaked bathroom cleaner that bleached my bathroom tile. All the spray bottles have terrible spray mechanisms. They get stuck when you pull the trigger and the spray is more like a stream than a mist. They're just very poor quality. Having a good spray bottle isn't exactly rocket science. I believe Blueland subsequently updated the bottles, but I am incensed by the idea that in addition to paying for new bottles to make the product function, I have to pay for shipping because of their insanely high free shipping minimum. The foam pump mechanism on the handsoaps also performed poorly. I eventually stopped using the hand soap bottles entirely. They've since updated the pumps and offered free replacements, but I haven't gone back to using them. Bath & Body works pumps work 100000 times better so I just refill and reuse those.

  • I have the dishwasher tabs. So far so good. We have very hard water in our town. I haven t seen the usual film on my glassware.

  • I love the hand soap and the toilet cleaner and the dishwasher packs. Hand soap works well, the dishwasher tabs are compact and effective and the foamy hand soap works great. I had some trouble getting the laundry tabs to dissolve in my HE washer. A few times, I was left with some undissolved soap at the end of the cycle. Breaking it in a few pieces seems to have solved this. The soap for handwashing dishes works but one needs to get used to a powder that does not make as many bubbles. It works, just different.

  • Love the concept and most of the products I have purchased so far. My favorite is the laundry tabs

  • I have used a lot of Blueland products and have had mixed results. Overall, the products are pretty good. Some of the products take a little extra work to get to function as well as their traditional alternatives, others can be used as a drop in replacement, and a very few are down right terrible. Hand Soap Their hand soap is pretty good. I have noticed they dissolve better when mixed with very hot water. Also, I tend to overfill the pump, otherwise you sometimes soap granules precipitating out and clogging the pump. The scents are really good, but they are not that potent and oftentimes you can’t even smell them a week or so after mixing up a fresh batch. Their forever pump is not that good. It stopped working about 9 months after I purchased it. I have switched to using a different reusable pump. Cleaners The multi-surface, bathroom, and glass cleaners are probably their best products. I have used them for several years and work just as well as any other cleaner I have used. They don’t have the same issue with granules precipitating out as the hand soap. Sprayers have worked great. No issues with those at all. Laundry Detergent I am 50/50 on the detergent. I tend to wash my clothes with cold or warm water (not hot). Using cooler water sometimes leads to the tabs not fully dissolving. I often find small pieces of the tabs in my laundry after I take them out of the dryer. That said, it cleans the clothes just fine. I haven’t noticed it being unable to remove stains. Dish Detergent This stuff works well. I haven’t had any issues with dirty dishes or poor cleaning. Dish Soap Takes a bit of effort to get it to suds up, but otherwise works well. Scrub Sponge This product is horrible. It does not scrub as well as other sponges I have used, and after a week or so of using it, it gets slimy. It is weird and gross, and I stopped using it.

  • I love the toilet cleaner -smells great and works and I actually gifted this to some family members to try. I love the lavender eucalyptus foaming hand soap. The hand soap bottles are good but took a bit to start working correctly. I originally just bought the tablets and mixed them in my own bottles. The body wash needs bubbles, it is more of a cream and needs better scents. None of the body wash scents are very woodsy all are 'sweet' except coconut which just smells strange. I don't love the body wash bottle. I like to use body wash on a washcloth, but it seems to just disappear, and I can't even tell if it is doing anything. I love supporting low waste products. I think they should make it easier for people to use their products without buying their bottles, the amounts are odd (9oz for hand wash - so measuring out 9 ounces is doable but a pain). I didn't like the glass cleaner at all, and the other general cleaner is fine but not as powerful as Meyers so I am not purchasing again (I don't want to take more time or elbow grease for cleaning). I really like the oxi laundry booster clear skies fragrance smells amazing. I like the tin, it makes it easy to use. I wish they had a larger refill as I go through it pretty quick for my family of four. I have never tried the dish powder. I wish they made a tablet that I could reconstitute and make dish soap. I don't like the idea of powder poofing out into the air for me to inhale. I also prefer to dilute my dishsoap into a spray bottle and spray on my dishes. I would like to try to face wash but not sure I want to commit to a whole set. Wish they had a sample pack. I don't like bubbles for my facewash but do like bubbles for body wash.

  • This is my second time buying the lemon toilet cleaning tablets. I love the smell, it's like a huge seltzer disc to keep the bowl clean and smelling good!

  • I've been using BlueLand for 4 years and their products have only gotten better! They've been able to expand so much, practically all of my cleaning products are by them. Definitely recommend!

  • I've tried several Blueland products and especially love the Dish Soap. and Multi-purpose Cleaner. They're very effective. Also pleased with the Laundry Detergent and Oxi Laundry Booster, and Scrub Sponge. Tried the Hand Soap and, although the tablet fragrances are wonderful, I feel it's not strong enough to clean my hands as thoroughly as I'd like. The refillable containers for all the products are great and a major part of the reason I like Blueland. I did once receive a defective Dish Soap refill. It wasn't soapy enough and there was no packet of desiccant in the refill packet.

  • I love Blueland products and have been using them for a couple years now. I love the products themselves, but also love the packaging and lack of plastic. I use the dishwasher tablets, dishwashing powder soap, sponges, toilet bowl tablets, foaming hand wash, and all three cleaning sprays. I have recommended their products to many friends! The only product that I don't love is their body soap. It doesn't foam much and the sandalwood becomes pretty stinky in the container after a few weeks.

  • I enjoy Blueland's dishwasher tablets. They work very well and I like the container they can easily be stored in. I have tried their other products and not found them to work as well as the dishwasher tablets, but I will stick with these.

  • I love the idea! But I'm not sure if it's actually cleaning. I wish there were stronger claims around how much it cleans.

  • I loved their hand soaps and dispensers. However, when they were running a promotion for “Plastic-Free July” they reached out to their audience to Commit to posting weekly for the month of July about individual commitments to reducing single use plastics, while tagging their company, in exchange for a $100 gift card. I did the challenge (5 posts in all) and they did not honor my efforts based on a small technicality. Terrible customer service toward a loyal customer. Finding a comparable brand.

  • Company: I decided to move away from blue land for a few reason. Their products are eco friendly, yes, no plastics etc. But they are not the best human friendly (non-toxic etc). The MAJOR reason is because their customer service is atrocious. They delivered $160 worth of products to the wrong house and refused to refund or replace when I didn't put that address in. How do I know, because we have been getting their products for over a year consistently and I only logged into blue land.com to change the frequency of orders early on until we got it right where it would arrive right when we were about to run out. I got that right a long time ago, so for it to all of the sudden deliver to the wrong address when I hadn't logged in over 6+ months. I know I didn't change that address. So they can go pound sand, I am still getting the laundry tablets and dishwasher tablets until I can find a good alternative but cancelled the rest. Products I have tried: - Cleaners: The spray bottles break all the time, specifically the trigger. Smells very chemically not natural smelling - The hand soap: bottle, the pump breaks, had two break on me already. The soap itself is good but the bottle is not - Dish soap: is a power which sounds great no plastic, except it gets into my lungs while doing the dishes and I am coughing like I am a 50 year smoker the entire time doing the dishes - Laundry Tablets: These work great no complaints - Oxy Booster: Meh, I didn't see a difference using this - Dishwasher Tablets: These work great no complaints - Toilet bowl cleaner: Doesn't clean well

  • We purchased a kit with multi purpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner & foaming hand soap. I saw a review on US morning television last April on a visit to US from Australia. Was so excited to be part of something so sustainable but very disappointed. The trigger spray gives out after 4th use & glass cleaner is smeary. Both multi & bathroom cleaners ok but an Aussie owned eucalypt brand is far more effective. Also plastic not great particularly when trigger gives out so early. Also waited a long time for delivery. Not a great experience. Not a repeat purchaser.

  • I was completely sold on the “no plastics” good for the environment point. Love that. However, when it comes to actually cleaning I feel like the products are less than sub par. Instead of repeating myself throughout every paragraph I’ll start by saying we just moved into our new house that we built. So everything is brand new. This is not a deep cleaning project. This is just minor maintenance. The toilet bowl cleaner fizzes and looks important and then does nothing against the hard water spots that are starting to form in the bowl (this is a brand spanking new toilet too so these stains aren’t tough yet) but I’m going to have to use a secondary product to get it clean. Makes me think the fizzing is a gimmick and it’s actually doing nothing. The multipurpose cleaner does literally nothing on my stovetop except smear the tiny olive oil spots around, so I thought I would top it off with the glass cleaner and it also just did the same. Had to resort to my good ol dawn dish soap. Both the multipurpose cleaner and the glass cleaner made my stainless steel look like it had more streaks and cloudier than when I started. Also had to go back to using vinegar and water. The bathroom cleaner is about as useful. The foaming hand soap always leaves me feeling questionably clean-ish. It’s hard to describe but as you’re washing it off it feels…sticky kinda. Like there’s a residue on your hands and they’re not really getting clean. They don’t feel sticky after they’re dry but it doesn’t feel like it’s working very well. Makes me not trust that they’re getting clean. I did read some reviews before buying about the bottles leaking. I also had the same problem. Two out of four leak and one of them randomly decides to work. I went onto the website to see if they had some sort of customer satisfaction plan and it turns out that they will allow returns and refund within 100 days. I checked at 104 days. I reached out to the company to see if there was anything they can do and they said no. I am out of their return window so fair enough. Still kinda sucks though because I’m left with useless product. I would not recommend this brand because I would have actually saved more plastic from the earth had I just stuck with my tried and true cleaning methods.

    Just an ex-customer
  • Spray bottle didn’t work properly. Window cleaner left a film. Bathroom cleaner stinks.

  • The products are good - BUT customer service is terrible. In that, they do not even accept phone calls and list no phone on their website at all. I would at minimum make every company I buy from have a contact phone number!!! At a very bad time in my life I accidentally signed up for a subscription service and evidently did not even have an account. How is this possible? Needless to say, canceling was a nightmare and one shipment was delivered even after I sent a contact us message because no one saw it or answered for TWO DAYS and I could not get on my <account> because they had to sent an email with a link. Even though their oxy cleaner is the only one out there in a sustainable package, I will never order from them again until they have a customer service number.
