I have been a "birder" for probably going on 15 years. As someone who wanted to see her birds close up, and see what was visiting on a regular basis, and even set up a trail camera on the nearest tree to the theater to be able to do so, my BirdBuddy has taken my enjoyment to a whole new level! I live in an area with woods surrounding three sides of my home, in an area that definitely experiences spring, summer, fall, and a whole lot of winter, so I have a large variety of birds that stop by throughout the year. Thanks to my BirdBuddy, which I received in December, I am now receiving excellent quality videos and photos of all of my feathered Friends! My experience has been nothing less than wonderful since the day it arrived 🐦🐦

Ordered my birdbuddy after seeing it on indiegogo.com in Jan 2021 splashed out with a bonus from work . I love feeding different birds in my garden so thought it would be a great journey to go with a kickstarter. Received the unit in February 2023 and set it up straight away as so excited to finally receive the product had heard so many negative reviews from backers , buyers but I can say this from day one the set up was seamlessly easy ( easy as setting up an apple product ) , birds interacted after the first week . A new feeder for them to get used too . Had to add an extended perch and side walls to get birds to Centre on the camera but the pictures / videos are amazing that it captures . Birds are seen flying into the perch , two , three , four birds sitting on the perch . Caught many different types of birds I never new came into my garden , the Ai recognises the birds some I’d never heard off . It’s learning all the time . Some it doesn’t but you can send them off to birdbuddy HQ to be checked by a bird buddy expert . I have the solar panel fitted to by bird bunny , from the UK 🇬🇧 we don’t get much sun so was sceptical with this addition , but since feb 2023 till today April 2023 I’ve only charged it once never gone below 70% charge so recommend the solar panel .only fits on 1 half of the roof but my birdbuddy faces south so I move it as the day goes on to catch the sun as it rises to when it sets at night to get the maximum charge possible . I thought I would have to charge it inside more than I have . The company are rolling out extra features to retro fit onto your birdbuddy I’ve ordered and I’m waiting on a suet ball holder , which is shipping in the next two weeks and a water dispenser / fruit spike / jelly holder to attract different spieces of birds so can’t wait for those to arrive and see what birds come to my house to dine …..

I love my Bird Buddy! It's so cool to get up-close pictures and videos of my regular backyard birds and those just passing through. The picture quality is amazing and it's so interesting to see bird behaviors too, like who's territorial, who's hogging the seed. My experience with customer support has been great; the team is very responsive and helpful, following up to make sure everything is working. I can't wait to see the other products in development. It's exciting being part of a fantastic community of birders!

My Bird Buddy was bought as a Christmas gift for me in 2021. I remember my daughter boasting how she had bought my present during the summer. Christmas came and orders still had not been shipped, so I got an IOU. Long story short, I received my Bird Buddy around Thanksgiving 2022. And while it was slow coming, it has provided me with hours of enjoyment and caused me to dig into the birds behaviors, identifications, etc. Would I recommend this product? Absolutely and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next! The quality of the pictures and videos are fantastic. I have had nothing but positive interactions with their customer service—asking a question, providing feedback on minor glitches, etc. They are a relatively new company and have had some growing pains, some have written harsh reviews in my opinion unfairly, but it appears they are off to the races with good footing now! Do you like birds, love tech stuff, have a 2.4ghz router, and have an internet service provider that provides you with strong WiFi signal to place a feeder? Then you definitely need to experience a Bird Buddy! ❤️❤️❤️ my Bird Buddy! Nothing but a great experience for me!

I have been so happy with this feeder. I was one of the original Kickstarter supporters and got my feeder delivered, up, and running in October of 2022. There were definite hiccups to start as the company worked on adjusting the battery life and the AI capabilities. There are still a few moments when the feeder gets confused (for some reason I continually get visits from a red winged blackbird that is never a red winged blackbird) but it has improved dramatically since the start and now the AI recognizes the correct bird more often than not. They have also improved in their customer service, not being as overwhelmed now, and if you need assistance with the feeder, or identifying a mystery bird, they are much faster to get back to you. They have also made major improvements to the solar panel/battery life and since the most recent update, I haven't had to bring the device inside once to charge it. They do a great job listening to the feedback from their customers and each update has made the feeder/app more user friendly. I love getting visits from my birds all day at work! I've already purchased another for a family member and made recommendations to several friends. Great product!

I purchased 2 bird buddy's, 1 for myself and one for my 87 yo Mom. They both work fabulously. It is very easy to setup and use. My Mom and I started receiving post cards immediately. Both were setup prior to December 2022 and I was shocked at the number of birds visiting our bird feeders on a daily basis. We live 2 hours apart and we share our feeders with each other in the app, we often discuss the variety of birds we see each day. It's been a wonderful shared experience and brings my Mom lots of joy.

This really is a great product. You get great quality photos and videos of the birds living and feeding in your environment. The camera design almost seems to trigger the birds to look directly into the lens.

The quality of the pics and videos are fantastic. The support and steady development of the firmware is great. With a solar roof you don't need to charge the battery. You can share the pics and videos with up to 3 friends.

The BirdBuddy is great fun and entertaining to have. Due the BirdBuddy I learn a lot about birds, way more than I ever thought I would. It is exciting to get the postcards and see what bird has been visiting the BirdBuddy. The photo quality is extremely good. Overall it was more than I expected. Now I am about to buy one for my dad too, everybody whom has seen this are very curious about it. And the BirdBuddy support/helpdesk are very friendly and prompt.

I am a bird fanatic and have been watching birds on my feeders for years. Bird Buddy was given to me as a gift and I love it. I love the pictures/movies and have been hooked on it. It’s easy once you get the hang of it to install and enjoy!!

Bird Buddy is the most interesting item I've purchased in a long time. I loved it from the first bird photo I received and Bird Buddy is continually updating the firmware and software and making it better. They listen to the users and make appropriate updates. This is a phenomenal invention!

The Bird Buddy has brought hours of enjoyment and entertainment to our family and friends. The photos we have received are excellent and the videos just a joy to watch. This bird feeder was my BEST present of Christmas 2022. Love and highly recommend it to all bird watchers / lovers.

It took a while to get the order, which I expected since it was a Kickstarter. However, since I have had it, it's been wonderful! I get so many pictures and videos, and of great quality! I see things I never noticed before! Customer service is fantastic and gets back to you quickly and they keep us informed constantly. I bought another one as a present for a friend and I would def recommend to anyone.

So Bird Buddy took absolutely forever to get to me... but good things come to those who wait! Bird Buddy gets better and better by the day! I just absolutely love it! So many people ask me about Bird Buddy and want one for themselves. It's fairly decent at providing background on the birds in your feeder, and takes clear enough photos that other ID apps tend to fill in where Bird Buddy might get it wrong. My cats love it too. It's honestly one of the best gifts I ever got. Was worth waiting for. :)

I think this is the greatest birdfeeder ever! The camera shows so much detail in the birds feathers and I love the expressions on the birds when they eat at the feeder. I am impressed that the Bird Buddy crew is always looking for ways to make this better and that they view owners recommendations and take our suggestions into account. It's exciting to see new innovations coming down the road too. Love this!

I absolutely love my Bird Buddy. I was one of the first backers on Kickstarter so had to wait awhile to get it, but it was definitely worth it. The company communicates regularly and takes feedback into account. The feeder and AI work really well, and since I have a solar panel, I never have to bring it in to charge. The pictures and videos are high quality. I'm excited to see what else the company develops for different types of birds!

My son got me this for Mother’s Day and it is the best gift I ever received. Takes beautiful photos and helps to identify birds.

This company has come on leaps and bounds. It's fair to say, that the Kickstarter was slow and dragged despite the backers being there. It seemed frustrating and even I questioned if we would actually get this product but - that being said, since it's arrival and the companies addition of employees to the customer service team, they have been doing fabulously. They communicate with the community regularly and offer support as soon as they can.

Overall it's a great product. I love seeing the birds in their everyday life. If light is sufficient outside the pictures are really great. But since we live in Sweden the winter days aren't particularly long ;) I think the sunroof should be standard, without it I would have to charge every 1-2 days since I have a lot of bird visitors.

I love my Bird Buddy! In fact I love it so much that I have purchased 3 as gifts for family members. It only took a couple of days after placing the feeder to start receiving postcards. I have had a few questions and the team has answered me within a couple of days which I consider to be a good response. I would purchase this item again without hesitation. I enjoy seeing all of the birds up close and personal. Their expressions and antics are very entertaining. The videos are great and can be downloaded and shared with others. Most importantly the company is Constantly improving the firmware and listening to what the users are requesting.
