The Weekender Bag

  • I got a weekender bag for my birthday 3 years ago and I have used it everytime I have traveled. I like how it has a handle strap to sit and stay on top of your rolled bag. It’s super easy to take things in and out of when traveling and has great storage inside. The bottom zipper compartment is super sturdy, unlike knockoffs of this bag. I recently got to try out my sisters carry on from this brand and ended up buying my husband a carry on, large checked bag, and a cosmetic case for Christmas!

  • Shay really thinks of everything between the pockets, key leashes, etc! I love these bags, the crescent catchall is my ride or die. I have it in a limited edition cobalt blue and get compliments all the time. I also love my mini weekender as a personal item for airline travel!

  • I ordered the Weekender Bag for a 5 day trip. That’s a little longer than a weekend, but I thought the bag could work as my carry on. The overall quality of the fabric and stitching looks pretty good and there are substantial zippers and hardware. I like the bottom compartment for shoes and other solid things, it was really what sold me on the bag. This section has been great and might be my favorite feature. I also really like how the top structure sort of snaps closed when you zip it up. There are two strap options and the shoulder one, despite being padded, is still rough on the shoulder if you put heavy things in the bag. There are also internal compartments like a padded laptop area and some zippered pockets. Different people will have different mileage with those. I mostly don’t use them, but it’s nice to have the option. The bag is a bit bigger than I expected. Normally that would be good, but given how airlines keep decreasing the acceptable size for carry ons I am worried that this will become too big soon. Also if you are doing a quick trip via an airport I don’t know that there is an advantage to a shoulder bag, as opposed to one you can roll along. Overall I am a qualified happy about my purchase. This bag probably won’t be my go to for airplane trips, but definitely will for trips where I drive or take a train to the destination.

  • I have noticed many a Beis product around the airport and have always thought the fit and finish looked great from a distance, but I had not had a chance to experience the products until recently upgrading my wife’s travel kit with a new backpack and a weekender. Both feel extremely well made and the backpack has made a brief 24 hour trip without issue and is about to go on a week long trip. The bags both make great use of space and have nice material usage. My one gripe for the backpack in particular is that the straps though comfortable could stand for a bit more padding. That said, this is absolutely a nit I am picking and the inclusion of a luggage/trolly strap for hooking to a rollaboard will likely cut heavily down on backpack wearing time. But I wanted to flag as coming from a Timbuk2 bag the straps are a bit of a step down. However all of the other finishes are stellar!

  • I use my BEIS Weekender Bag every time I travel (not only for weekenders!) because it is so functional and aesthetic and it truly is the perfect size bag for trips. The strap could be more comfortable (with some padding perhaps?) but the interior/exterior compartments are good and I love it either way.

  • Now I have an monos collection already. That is the best of these brands. However, monos, expandable suitcase was only offered in black at the time. So i picked up BEIS luggage in the Maple color! The carryon expandable suitcase and weekender have been amazing. The backpack is the worst. The zipper breaks constantly. I have exchanged this twice and they break within the first trip. I have given up on this and threw it away. Overall, I like my Beis. The wheels glide decent (even when overpacked). The Maple color is gorgeous and so far so good with the rest of the items longevity.

  • I really love the style and durability of this brand. I use the weekender bag when I go to my boyfriend’s and love the separate compartment for shoes. I also love the style of the carry on roller. It’s worth investing in high-quality luggage!

  • I thought the idea was really practical, but this bags becomes quickly really heavy and for most airline when you travel in economy class the weight surpasses the limit and you'd have to pay extra. I don't use it really to get out of the country, but when I travel by train or bus, I tend to consider it. It is really good quality too.

  • I continue to stand by this brand when it comes to the Weekender bag. My mom gave me the beige Beis weekender bag one Christmas I think six years ago? Two years I decided it was time to replace her- she’d gone everywhere with me! I researched some other brands but the style and details (pockets, straps, luggage strap, shoe bin!) couldn’t be beat. I bought the same bag once more at Nordstrom. It’s a little tight for a weeklong trip (hence the name, obviously) but I’ve made it work for longer than a weekend trip before. I have yet to try more items but I’m interested in the work bags.

  • I have the Weekender bag and it is the best piece of luggage that I own. I love the separate bottom comaprmtnet for shoes, toiletries, etc. to ensure the clothes or contents in the main compartment are not damged in anyway. The fabric is durable and easy to spot clean and it is very easy to carry.
