I was most happy with barkbox because I was able to swap my box for extra toys while forgoing the treats. My pup was never much into the treats, but she loves the toys so it was win-win. Toys are super cute and I love the details they put in to make them extra silly. 

What is NOT TO LOVE. They have created something very special. I received my first box at Christmas. Since my dogs are wild and destroy their toys, I called and they immediately sent a new box filled with more durable toys for my dogs. Their box filled with fun treats and more are the cutest ever. Any toys I have extra, I give to my friends for their pups. It is an awesome service. 1 year subscription, but worth the $30.00 a month.

Since I was a wee 3-month-old fluffball, BarkBox day has been the absolute best. The anticipation, the unboxing – it's like Christmas every time!

Inside, there are pawsome toys, teething-friendly chews, and treats that make my tail do a happy dance. And guess what? My big sister joins in on the fun! Our unboxing moments are priceless and a bonding experience we both love.

To keep things exciting, my humans are smart. We switch up the toys monthly, so no boredom, no furniture chewing – just pure doggy bliss.

I haven't tried the subscription service itself, but I have tried some treats from the brand. The branding and design for these is stellar, but the ingredients are only okay. The price for these is fair. My puppy loves these, but she loves everything.

Wonderful toys! The boys love to play with their toys & snack on some delicious treats! 

When I signed up for our subscription, it was for 12 months. They seriously try to hold you to this commitment if you try to cancel. I emailed several times with no resolution. I tried to call to speak with someone to no avail. I chatted and literally had to force them to give me a refund and cancel my subscription. I had to ask to escalate to a supervisor before they would help me.  NOT WORTH IT. 

Bark Box is entirely not worth it. My dog weighs 60 pounds and they sent tiny toys. They also send 2 treats, the bags were tiny as well. She was done with them within 4-5 days. I emailed them asking to customize more toward her size, breed, etc. They claimed they could not. She is also on a grain free diet, which I specified, however they said after I complained they do not offer grain free. I asked to sub 1 toy with an extra treat they said no and then jipped us of the 2nd toy anyway....They are claiming I cannot cancel before the 6 months is up. I'm just going to go and cancel the CC I guess. Absolutely NOT WORTH IT. TJ maxx and Marshalls have HUGE treat bags, for all diets,  and every size toys for cheaper than this. I can go get her a surprise she will enjoy and can eat each month for less....

I wanted to share my recent experience with BarkBox to warn others. I signed up for their six-month subscription after seeing an Instagram ad that promised a free pet DNA kit. I followed all the prompts and subscribed, but when my box arrived, the DNA kit wasn’t included.

When I contacted customer service, they told me the promo I was eligible for was different and offered to upgrade my next box instead. I denied the promo because they missed the basic principle which is that customers are being misled and deceived by their promo and at no point of the subscription enrollment are we being told the “promo” doesn’t apply to us. After I pushed back, they finally agreed to send the DNA kit, but the whole experience felt really deceptive and frustrating and, I was right! I looked at my bank account and on the app and they charged me $96.57 for the kit. The kit was offered for FREE and included with your first BarkBox subscription.

If you’re thinking about subscribing to BarkBox because of a specific promo, be careful! They will not honor their advertised deals.

I’ve used BarkBox for all my dogs and absolutely love it! The variety and quality of toys and treats are fantastic, and my dogs are always excited to see what’s inside each month. However, I’d love to see better collaborations. Some of the themes can be a bit cheesy, and I want my dog’s toys to feel like an extension of my style. With more thoughtfully curated collabs, BarkBox could be even more amazing.

I have been waiting 4 weeks for my box and each time I inquire, I'm told "being processed for shipping ".  When I  started the subscription,  my wait was 10 days  to 2 weeks. Now I'm being told 6+ weeks. Refund? Nope. They offered to send an extra toy, that's it.  Would not recommend. 

Honestly, for years I wasn't interested in BARK box because it looked like yet another subscription box that would get boring over time. That all changed when I picked up a few of the BARK toys for my dogs -- their version of a chuck-it is super high quality material and has held up really well. Now I think their toys are absolutely worth the money. note: the super chewer line is pretty intense and heavy - I'd only recommend if your dog legit chomps on everything. My two dogs don't like their super chewer stick very much bc it's too heavy to play fetch.

It’s always exciting to see how excited my dogs get when they see their new Barkbox for the month, and can’t wait to open the box themselves as fast as possible. The boxes include pretty durable dog toys, and unique dog treats that you usually can’t find in majority of stores. The only downfall with Barkbox is it can become a bit unaffordable after a few months of paying for it. 

Don't waste your money. My mini doodle had the heavy chewer and wrecked the toy within 10 minutes.  It would go straight to the garbage.  You are paying for treats.  The toys are choking hazards.

I liked the concept of the box every month (especially after getting a new puppy). But they did not make it easy to cancel (try to say you are on a year term contract when you are not so you have to talk to customer service for a while to actually get off the subscription).

My family (including the pup) loves our monthly Bark Box delivery! We always get a plethora of clever toys, tasty treats, and an occasional surprise. The website makes adding on extras a little too easy, but I can’t regret spoiling my dog a little!

Love barkbox! They are amazing and keep my Doggies so happy with treats and toys. The toys are amazingly high-quality and very reasonable.  

I’ve had a subscription to BarkBox for about 1.5 years consecutively and my dog has received probably a dozen boxes from friends and family. The process is fun and simple to complete in terms of indicating your dog’s breed, age, preference or more snacks vs toys, and if they are a super chewer. I was pleased there was also consideration to any ingredients your dog may be allergic to so they will avoid those treats in your box.

It’s also easy to update your preferences or pause the subscription. What was most enjoyable and well-done is the different themes each box has, sometimes it’s seasonal and sometimes it’s based on something else like, Scooby Doo. The toys have incredible detail and they have an excellent range of incorporating the spectrum of toy qualities, like crinkly, ropes, squeaky, toys in toys, and more. Their product design and research teams must be top-notch.

I feel their pricing is also fair at about $25-$35 per month for a box that contained 2 full size treat bags, 2 full size toys, and 1 bone—you can also indicate your preference of treat to toy ratio.

Their customer service is super responsive and it’s always a delight to get a birthday card in the mail from them for my dog. I’ve also revived promo codes from them as well. 

Highly recommend trying BarkBox or gifting it!

This company has gone above and beyond time and time again!

We signed up for a temporary Barkbox subscription and Barkbox proactively reached out to check if our pup liked the first box. We were then able to adjust the second box quickly before it shipped to include less of what he didn’t care for. The toys have been very high-quality and I love that we can give the ones he doesn’t love as presents to our friends’ dogs during the holidays. It ended up saving me a couple of trips!

For the price, it’s a great value!
