I LOVE IT!! So comfy and I just gave some to everyone in the house

Saw these at Target and although some of the promoting had been annoying, I thought to myself that I should give it a shot. Worst choice ever!! Buyer beware: this pad has caused the MOST LEAKAGE ever!!!! I’m 22, I’ve been menstruating for sometime now, and this morning, on the 5th day of my period (which means my flow IS NOT HEAVY WHATSOEVER) I wake up to a large bloodstain on my WHITE SHEETS. I get up to check the back of my undies because that’s where I find my leakage to happen 99% of the time. NOPE! This product has a preference for leaking in the FRONT for whatever weird reason. I usually put a towel underneath when I have my period to avoid having to scrub out the blood stains from my sheets, but since the flow has been little to nonexistent, I decided to forego the towel, and man what a mistake. Love scrubbing out the large dried up blood stain on my white sheets :(. I’ve never experience this kind of leakage with a pad, why does it leak in the front???? I’m honestly really disappointed with the product, it talked itself up for being “extra absorbent”, maybe extra repellant, because why the hell is blood just easily seeping through the front of my panties??? Extremely disappointed, and I’m really hoping this stain will come out, but so far even with my hydrogen peroxide and bottle of Shout, I’m having no luck :(((

I found these products were really uncomfortable and didnt work nearly as well as other brands that are sustainable and non toxic. The marketing is really good but the products are not worth is.

I like the story behind the brand: educate people about a period. Also biodegrade pads and tampons are great idea. I ordered night and days pads and, unfortunately, I did not like them because they leak. A blood does not reach the elongated part of pad; blood accumulates on sides and leaks :( I usually use well known A brand because the liquid spreads around all the pad surface evenly.

When I first ordered from August I really enjoyed their products, when I received them. However each time I have had to email them to ask when my item would be shipped as a week would go by without any notification. This time, I emailed them and never got a response. I had to reach out to them on Instagram before they finally emailed me back and that was after I asked them 2x on Instagram for an update. For a company who is constantly on social media it is kind of insulting that a customer has to reach out so many times who is just asking for an update on her order. I wasn’t even asking for an exact timeline or demanding it be shipped out, I understand shipping may be delayed or whatever but I couldn’t even get an answer if it was delayed? The only thing they said was that they would look into it ASAP and that was on Wednesday Sept 28 in the morning and then an email saying the same thing yesterday when I followed up on Instagram. I have heard nothing from them since.

first, i really liked the tampons. i found that they were very easy to insert (from someone who doesn’t normally use tampons) and they were very absorbent. i have a lighter flow, so i would say the regular tampon would do the job for me. although, i liked the pads (both day and night) i found that they crinkle up easily and the wings don’t stick well. i wore the night pad during the night and when i woke up my undies were stained bc the pads crinkled up on the sides. i was disappointed about this bc the pads are comfy compared to generic brands but they need to be stickier! the packaging was also really cute so i enjoyed that. the shipping took about 6-7 business days to arrive. i would suggest purchasing your first order in bulk just in case you have irregular periods so you will be sure to have august whenever needed.

I think the products are comfortable and the tampons don't feel like there's something poking my uterus. But in their marketing their biggest thing is working for all types of cycles but I used their night pads on my heaviest night last night and it soaked over the edges and onto my underwear and shorts. I will admit the products are comfortable but I wish they had a bigger surface area and stickier pads. As for the tampons I really liked them but bought regular instead of super. If you have a heavier flow buy super because you will leak through within the hour!!! My biggest issue is the pads though the absorbancy is fine but it needs more surface area and it needs to stick better especially the night pads!

By far the best period products I have ever used. The pads are so soft and are so much more comfortable then any i’ve ever bought from the store. Plus they are affordable and come quick.

I first ordered from August in September 2021, and I instantly fell in love. All of their products are SO soft and comfortable, and their mission truly resonates with me. I’ve tried every period product that they have without any disappointment. I know that others have mentioned issues with adhesion, but I actually prefer the pads being less sticky because they’re easier to remove. The tampons — OMG — are so amazing; the technology they use really does prevent them from leaking so much. I seriously have nothing but positives for the brand!

Worst pads ever!!! Pad wings DO NOT stick at all, neither does mid section of pad. This causes pad to be VERY unstable therefore I am insecure and have to constantly adjust; constant accidents occurred. The pad wrinkles up just like it does when I have an emergency pad around and have to use toilet paper. The only size I was able to try to use were the night time pads which only come with a few. Not worth it. I’ll stick to my original ultra thin long pads by another brand.

Their pads literally leaked all over for me. I bought them as backup for emergency use bc I liked their mission, but was pretty bummed out about the pads not holding the blood the way all their posts show. On a light day it was fine, but for the majority of my cycle they didn’t work like id hoped.

Ok so I absolutely love this brand there pads are so soft and their tampons don’t leak it’s all full proof and leak proof

The best products EVER!! August pads and tampons are all I’ve been looking for to deal with my period. Their pads are truly leakproof, super soft, and incredibly comfortable!! Their tampons are amazing too! I will never go back to generic pads and tampons ever again! I love August so much! Would truly recommend to anyone looking for amazing and sustainable products.

I really wanted to love this product, but I couldn’t even like it. I gave these tampons many chances and no matter what I did they would not properly open up once inserted. everything ends up leaking out down the braided strand.

August is no 1 in product innovation, no 1 in customer relations, no 1 in sustainability and no 1 in building a health community. The best brand in the Menstruation/Period industry.

Super biased, but building August has been one of the highlights of my life -- every step of our process has been the result of hours and hours of work to bring the most thoughtful, sustainable, and impactful period care to every menstruator.

I genuinely love these products and have been using them for quite a few periods now. They are super comfortable and it makes me feel great that my period care can contribute to making an impact and to a more sustainable world. My fav products have to be the day pads and light tampons! I really appreciate that its customizable, I've never been able to flexibly pick and chose how much of what products I need like this! Looking forward to see what comes next.

What's this?? Sustainable period care that ACTUALLY works?? I'm always trying to make more sustainable swaps in my routine and it's such a bummer when the products don't actually work.... while I am a member of the team so I am biased I can CONFIRM these products work, and are cost-competitive with your current products!!

BEST period brand out there! A company that values sustainability and impact is always on the top of my list. These products only take 6-12 months to degrade while most products take 6-12 CENTURIES. thats insane!! August is the way to go, do it not only for yourself but for the earth and the people.

I love the product innovation that their pads/tampons are biodegradable, plastic free, AND are so much more comfortable than the traditional products! The customizable boxes have a slick design and energizing pop of color, as as a customer I appreciated being in control of the quantities I could order for each product. Although subtle, I also appreciated their messaging is specifically for "all people who menstruate". It's a subtle but progressive nod to trans and nonbinary people to create a more inclusive brand community.
