August earns strong reviews for comfortable, soft organic-cotton pads and tampons, chic low-waste packaging, and mission-driven sustainability and inclusivity; the products generally work well, especially for light-to-moderate flow and sensitive skin. Reviews also flag weaknesses—pads’ adhesive can be too weak or too strong, liners and pads may shift or crinkle, heavy-flow users report leaks, and the tampon applicator can be hard to deploy—making sizing and adhesion fit key considerations before buying.

  • I love the product innovation that their pads/tampons are biodegradable, plastic free, AND are so much more comfortable than the traditional products! The customizable boxes have a slick design and energizing pop of color, as as a customer I appreciated being in control of the quantities I could order for each product. Although subtle, I also appreciated their messaging is specifically for "all people who menstruate". It's a subtle but progressive nod to trans and nonbinary people to create a more inclusive brand community.
