    My FAVORITE brand of candles. The branding is so fun and is an instant conversation starter. I’ve ordered at least 10 different scents and each one has been amazing—everything smells exactly like it says it does. I’m writing this review under the light of the “Homebody” candle, which is bergamot and tea leaves. Amazing!!

    Loooove these candles! Before being introduced to Anecdote, I wasn't even a fan of scented candles. But the scents are divine, complex, and provides for a truly enjoyable experience every light. Shipping is fast and the items are always packed with care, and any time I have a question or slight issue, the customer service has been top notch. I'm a loyal fan forever!

    If you're not sure what scent fits you the best, either start with travel tin sizes to discover what you like, or the online staff has been very helpful at narrowing down my choices when I needed some guidance!

    I am OBSESSED with Anecdote candles. The "Basic" smells like pumpkin spice, and is exactly what I want my house to smell like in the fall. There is variety of different scents, and most of them are so cozy. I have gotten comments from friends about the funny anecdotes on the jars too.

    These are my favorite candle. I like that they aren't huge like a lot of jar candles, as I usually get sick of the scents of those by the time they're finished.

    I absolutely love Anecdote candles! Their packaging is very simple so may not be the best statement piece, but the scents are amazing! I have so many and love them all for different scenarios and the fun descriptions just add a snarky twist to the experience of lighting them.

At Anecdote, we're making fragrance a conversation piece. Inspired by personal recollections and cultural trends, each candle is designed to remind us of stories worth sharing. Anecdote Candles is my “accidental business.” After realizing that the commercially-made candles dispersed throughout my apartment were the culprit of my migraine headaches, I got curious about the anatomy of a good candle. It took just a few weeks of research and experimentation for me to become fully obsessed with the art and science of candle making. Exploring fragrance combinations took me on an unexpected walk down memory lane. Amber was warm and luminous, much like the mid-century modern decor in my grandmother’s living room. Fig seemed calm and orderly, just like a satisfying day of adulting. Lemongrass, weirdly enough, immediately prompted memories of my Pilates class (and all the girls in color coordinated workout gear who enthusiastically took a seat in the front row while I sat in the back). This marked the genesis of Anecdote Candles: a hobby that turned into a business and has remained a passion. Within the two years, I moved production rom my kitchen to a 200 square-foot studio to a 7200 square-foot production space. Our products are carried in more than 500 retailers across the country.
