Reviews mention

  • Exceptionally comfortable cushioning
  • Lightweight, travel-friendly construction
  • Machine-washable, easy maintenance
  • Sustainable, minimalist aesthetic
  • Limited arch support comfort
  • Faster-wearing outsole tread
  • Wool uppers stain easily
  • Toe-box fabric thins

Allbirds earns strong reviews for exceptional comfort, light weight, and machine-washable ease, making Tree Runners, Wool Runners, and loungers reliable everyday and travel shoes; however, many note limited support for long walks/runs, faster tread wear and toe holes, wool styles running warm and staining easily, narrow sizing without half sizes, and a polarizing, sometimes “dated” look. Overall, the brand is good for casual wear and sustainability-minded buyers, but not ideal for heavy-duty performance or those needing robust arch support and long-term durability.

  • I love Allbirds. I first got my pair when it was a small company in 2016. It was a gift and I absolutely loved it. I first got the lounger fluffs which I would wear everywhere. After, I got the flats and the tree lounge. The shoes are so lightweight and comfortable. All the shoes have lasted me a long time.

    Feedback

    None at all.

  • I have the Wool Runners and like them! My main complaint is that they don’t have terrific arch support for those of us with weaker foot structures. But they look good, are high quality, easy to clean, and comfortable for most situations.

    Feedback

Better arch support built into products would be a great addition to future shoe releases.

  • I really like Allbirds. They're quite expensive, but the quality and the good looks make it worth the price. Just make sure you make the right kind of purchase for your climate and intended use. They're definitely not the most versatile shoe, but because of that they have a really good range of product offerings that allow you to wear an Allbirds brand shoe on every occasion.

I just wish the toe box was more solid so I couldn't see the outline of my feet in the shores. Granted, I haven't worn a pair of the new running shoes or bought a new pair in a while, so this one small nit pick really shouldn't discourage you from picking up a pair, even if they're just for wearing around the house.

  • These are billed as “the world’s most comfortable shoe” but I have to disagree - I used them to walk my dogs (under 2 miles) and they made my feet hurt. Also the soles wore down in under 6 months.

  • I was a very early adopter of Allbirds. An Instagram ad got to me! The product design and mission turned me into an instant fan and advocate. I listened to a podcast about how the Allbirds founder got started, which is a great story that you I want to root for. But then after a while, everyone got a pair. One time while waiting to board a flight from LA to NYC, literally 10 other 20 or 30-something-year-olds had the same shoe on while carrying the towing the same Away carry-on. It was embarrassing LOL.

The tongue would often curl into itself, which made wearability a little less comfortable. Not exactly sure what makes that happen, but that's probably my only complaint.

  • I love Allbirds for the fun colors and immediate comfort. But for a person with flat feet they do not provide enough support alone (or with orthotic inserts) for long distance walking. For causal wear, I prefer the Tree versions to the Wool.

    Feedback

    Expensive. Offer more supportive options.

  • I have owned a pair of Allbirds for long enough that the initial delight and new-product joy has worn off, but I am still a huge fan of the absolute comfort of these shoes. They are great inside and outside the house. Caring for them is so easy--I love that I can wash them in the machine, which adds to their longevity.

Sizing seems off. They run small. You will find a pair that fit, but I could not rely on my usual size to pick something that would work.

  • From stroller sprints to grocery runs, Allbirds are the shoes I reach for every. single. day. I wore them through my first pregnancy and never looked back—they’re lightweight, ridiculously comfy, and somehow go with everything. They make me feel like I’m walking on clouds... even when I’m running on caffeine and 4 hours of sleep.

  • I have a pair of all birds and I think they are quite comfortable. I have worn them without socks and they don't really smell at all. They are easy to throw in the wash and come out great.

  • I tried a pair of Allbirds in store in Hayes Valley, SF. I couldn't find a reason to justify the cost of them because they weren't that comfortable for my feet which was surprising.

  • The Runners are very lightweight and easy to wash! Great for wearing in hot and humid weather. Stylish enough to wear casually with jeans.

  • First off I am for the most part perfectly happy with the construction of these and how they wear. There is only one aspect of the design that I find problematic which is the tab at the top of the heel. I presume this is to grip for ease when sliding them on, but I find when I am wearing low socks, this tab digs into my Achilles in an uncomfortable way. Not so much to cause pain, but enough to be distracting. I had hoped this would soften up with time, and it has some, but generally the best thing I can do is make sure I am wearing at least high ankle socks that cover the back of the ankle fully. Otherwise the rest of the shoe is very comfortable. I have a wide midfoot, and these give me plenty of room without making my feet look wider than they are. The mesh is very airy so great for summer, no and the midsole is quite comfortable. I don't find them to have a ton of build in arch support, but they are not so flat as basic sneakers or your old school high tops. The construction and stitching all seem solid, and I greatly appreciate how they source thier materials. Of course that comes with a higher sticker price, but at least I feel like that is justified in the quality of the overall product. I wasable to size these fromthe European size which I find tends to be the most consistent, and these fit perfectly. The packaging is also ecofriendly, and great for giving as a gift. I just think if the heel tab were made of a softer material, or to be less stiff, these would be a immensely comfortable pair of shoes that look great.

  • Allbirds are the best! They’re so versatile as they can be worn on a hike or long walks, but also be a great compliment to a cute, stylish outfit. I purchased Allbirds for a 3 week trip to Italy. Amongst all the rain, mud, and walking for tens of miles each day, I still wear these shoes over a year later. They didn’t rip, fall apart, or degrade at all. They are super easy to machine wash as well.

  • My brother swears by them, but to me the felt just looks funny. A good shoe for working in a tech startup. A little overpriced.

  • The shoes were comfortable but made my feet feel incredibly hot (even during the winter)

  • It’s the best decision I ever made to buy this ones.

    Works for Allbirds
  • Cute but not as nice as some shoes. Venza is better. These are almost too light weight.

  • The quality on their products is really great for the price. I didn’t understand the hype at first but everything is just a basic at a great price with great quality!
