The quality of this brand's clothing is UNMATCHED. Yes, the pieces are a bit pricey but they are so worth it. I have their be free jogger, get dirty dress 2.0 and their rain or shine coat. These 3 pieces have been my go-to for rainy days or outdoorsy days.

Are these expensive? Yes. Are they also a pair of pants that made me consider giving up my (sizeable) wardrobe and replacing all pants only with these? Also yes. I kid you not, I have worn these pants on a plane, then to hang gliding(hot and humid), then to dressy business event (freezing convention center AC) and they looked and felt great the entire time. The rest of their stuff is great too (I think I've ordered pretty much everything they offer at this point), and everything is so thoughtfully designed in the details AND they fit the maximum amount of pockets possible in pretty much everything. Its a bit of a splurge, but so worth it (and you're also supporting ethical manufacturing processes!)
Feedback
If you like multi-functional but still cute clothing with pockets, this is the brand for you.

What is alder apparel?
alder apparel makes outdoor recreation apparel for women with inclusive sizing, community-informed design, and sustainable production.
In their own words
We offer inclusive sizing, community-informed design, sustainable and ethical production, and a playful brand that starkly contrasts with the performance-driven, hard-core athletic brands that currently dominate the outdoor space. We believe that outdoor recreation = happiness and the outdoor industry should be focused on fun, not exclusively performance, and should be a real leader in inclusivity, diversity and sustainability.

Brand initiatives
We have a responsibility to make things better for those who come after us. We work with environmentally-friendly fabrics, ethical, transparent factories, and we give back to the outdoors we so love. Our star garment, the open-air pant, is made with modal material sourced from Lenzing, a world-renowned, bluesign-certified fabric fibre supplier. We also use something called pre-consumer recycled nylon to make our take-a-hike shorts. Pre-consumer recycled means the nylon is a by-product of other manufacturing processes, instead of a consumer good. Using pre-consumer nylon saves a lot of energy and makes the best use of manufacturing resources. We also support, feature, and work with diverse voices. We believe the outdoors should be for everyone. We want to represent this in everything we do, whether that is in our choice of models or the sizing we offer for our garments.
