Reviews mention

  • Luxurious, earthy fragrance profiles
  • Elegant, minimalist packaging
  • Indulgent, sensorial hand washes
  • Compliment-worthy, unisex perfumes
  • Excessive, premium price point
  • Inconsistent perfume scent longevity
  • Plastic, leaky pump bottles
  • Irritating, fragrance-heavy skincare

Aesop earns strong reviews for luxurious scents, elegant packaging, and body-care standouts like Resurrection and Reverence Aromatique Hand Washes, yet opinions split on value. Reviews praise sensorial formulas that feel indulgent and often effective for hands and body, while noting weaknesses: high prices, plastic/leaky pumps, perfumes with short longevity, and some skincare that irritates sensitive skin or underperforms.

  • B & C Facial Balancing Gel is the game changer! You can't go wrong with Aesop in terms of both quality and brand experience. I love the scent of every product, it makes me feel calm and relaxed every time I use them.

  • I've been a fan of Aesop for years, and the customer store experience and packaging are just unmatched. Its a lovely experience to speak with the store employees and smell all the different products in store. Aesop is definitely pricey, but worth it if you have the extra cash.

While the scents are great in body products, I don't think they should be so strong in their facial skincare products. It can be overwhelming.

  • This brand is 90% experience. I love the products I got, but the price point makes them unfeasable for continuous use. That being said, the experience of using the products, the packaging, the scents, all make this so pleasurable that I'll for sure be buying again.

Maybe some unscented stuff would be great.

  • They did excellent job creating the products and branding. I am ready to pay for these beautiful bottles to have them nicely line up on my shelf. It all smells amazing!

    Feedback

Would be good to receive a discount form time to time.

  • The Reverence hand soap is honestly life changing. $34 is a bit much for a soap but it literally leaves my hands so soft and the smell is divine.

  • The lower review isn't because I don't love Aesop products. Their scents are unparalleled and leave your hands/body feeling clean without residue. I think the truth is, this is definitely a "treat yourself" product because for the price point, it's very expensive. I find you can get target-brand products for similar scents and quality for much cheaper.

  • Everything Aesop makes smells so incredible and I love the packaging. My favorite products are definitely their perfumes! I love the unisex scents (Marrakesh Intense is my favorite).

    Feedback

I do wish the products were a bit more affordable (they definitely skew luxury), but I think that boils down to the sustainable ingredients.

  • Aesop stores transport me to another place, as do their products. I am a huge fan and their soaps are beyond amazing.

  • The products smell incredibly good and I would recommend trying everything except skincare. Their body care products, soaps, and perfumes are great, especially if you enjoy woody/natural citrus scents. I love their geranium leaf body scrub.

The skincare line can be more gentle and use less fragrance. It's not meant for sensitive or acne prone skin.

  • This brand is pure luxury. The hand soap is my favorite. The scents are different but not overpowering. The hand soap leaves your hands feeling very clean. It’s a very different feeling from regular hand soap. I’ve also used their body cleanser. I didn’t think it lathered very well and the scent was not relaxing. I wouldn’t buy the body cleanser again. These products are super expensive and definitely a splurge.

The price! Make it more affordable or create a brand that is more affordable but offers the same quality as the original products

  • VERY nice products, great quality, and smell great. Unfortunately, it's not quite affordable as you'll see from their prices. It's bummer because I wish I could use these products daily. But at the current price point, I just feel too guilty to do so. My office keeps their products, so I you can already tell I love going to the office!

If there's a way to make it more economical, please do it. I would love nothing more to have these as my daily essentials.

  • Great product. Pretty packaging

Price may not be sustainable for me for everyday use in long term

  • I’ve tried various Aesop products from their Resurrection hand cream to Geranium body scrub. What keeps me purchasing over time is how moisturizing the hand cream is, the lovely scents, and branding.

    Feedback

I love that Aesop changed the packaging of the body scrub to something softer and easier to squeeze product out of. Would love to see this apply to their hand cream tubes as well.

  • Extremely luxe and worth it. They make great gifts. I bought the hand soap as a Christmas gift and we are still using it!

    Feedback

The price could be a little more affordable but it's still worth it.

  • Aesop is a guilty pleasure of mine. I just love walking into their stores - they're so beautifully designed. I have splurged on their hand lotions after feeling guilty about sampling them soooo often when walking past their stores. Somehow, the bottle makes my old washroom looks so much more fresh and design-y!

    Feedback

I wish they were slightly more affordable but I guess this is part of the allure.

  • i’ve only tried the hand sanitizer because i think the prices are steep for what the products are. it does the job just like any other brand so i don’t think it’s anything special in particular. yes, it smells unique but i don’t think i can personally justify spending more on this brand when other products perform just as well or better but just with a different scent. it does feel very luxe and fancy to use though so it’s a nice little luxury in life

  • Most unique, lovely scents here. I love their skincare products and soaps. The lotions smell nice, but aren't as moisturizing as I'd like. I still use them though because they smell soooo good!!

  • As someone who believes in the transformative power of small daily rituals, Aesop soaps have become an indispensable part of my self-care routine. From the sleek packaging to the exquisite scents, each aspect of the Aesop soap experience exudes sophistication. One of the standout features is the diversity in their range. Whether you're drawn to the citrusy freshness of the Resurrection Aromatique or the earthy, grounding notes of the Reverence Aromatique, there's a soap for every mood and preference. The carefully curated selection ensures that your cleansing ritual is not just a necessity but a sensory experience. The formulation is where Aesop truly shines. The soaps lather beautifully, offering a luxurious texture that feels indulgent on the skin. What I appreciate most is that they cleanse effectively without leaving my skin feeling dry or stripped. The inclusion of high-quality botanical ingredients contributes to a nourishing experience, leaving my skin refreshed and subtly fragranced. The minimalist yet elegant packaging adds a touch of sophistication to my bathroom counter. It's a small detail, but the aesthetic pleasure derived from the Aesop soap extends beyond its use, making it a visual delight in my daily routine. While the price point may be considered an investment, the longevity of each soap bar justifies the cost. A little goes a long way, and the quality of ingredients ensures that each bar lasts, making it a cost-effective choice in the long run. In essence, Aesop soaps have transformed my daily cleansing ritual into a sensory journey. With their exquisite scents, high-quality ingredients, and chic packaging, they have become a staple in my self-care repertoire. If you're seeking a soap that transcends the ordinary and elevates your daily routine, Aesop soaps are the epitome of luxury and indulgence.

  • Aesop = quality. Their probably best known for their hand wash as it's usually the go-to brand for any adorable establishment in a big city. You leave smelling your hands after you've washed them soaking in the fragrance that is left on your hands. They also have a great deodorant spray that I've loved using (not listed in the products to review).
