Reviews mention

  • Luxurious, earthy fragrance profiles
  • Elegant, minimalist packaging
  • Indulgent, sensorial hand washes
  • Compliment-worthy, unisex perfumes
  • Excessive, premium price point
  • Inconsistent perfume scent longevity
  • Plastic, leaky pump bottles
  • Irritating, fragrance-heavy skincare

Aesop earns strong reviews for luxurious scents, elegant packaging, and body-care standouts like Resurrection and Reverence Aromatique Hand Washes, yet opinions split on value. Reviews praise sensorial formulas that feel indulgent and often effective for hands and body, while noting weaknesses: high prices, plastic/leaky pumps, perfumes with short longevity, and some skincare that irritates sensitive skin or underperforms.

  • They smell nice and look nice, but are severely overpriced. I suggest buying the bottles and refilling with cheaper product.

Improve that price point. It's not as luxury as the price tag would have you believe.

  • I want one of everything. The smells, the quality, it's all unbeatable. Turning my home into a spa! I have everything in a travel size too because I need to take it everywhere I go! Highly recommend the exfoliators and body cleaners!

  • Extremely, extremely pricey for what you're getting, but it is high quality stuff! I do enjoy Aesop, but it's not sustainable for affordability's sake. I wish they sold refills so that you didn't have to buy more glass containers. Sure, you can recycle, but it'd be easier to make it worth the price if they let you buy bulk refills!

  • The Tacit fragrance is a beautiful and unique scent. A new signature for me

Would love to see a toothpaste with fluoride in it

  • love the hand soap! super luxurious feel with a great scent, and leaves hand washing feeling really clean! great aesthetic packaging.

innovating other products to be on the same level as the liquid hand soap - would love to use this all over my kitchen / bathroom / rest of house as well!

  • Lovely experience in store. I am a repeat customer across the globe and really appreciate the seamless and consistent customer service and support. The brand ethos is awesome and I always choose them as a first choice for gifts for any genders.

It is slightly more expensive but I definitely like the look and feel of the products which give off simple yet elegant vibes.

  • I've tried a bunch of Aesop products over the years, hand creams, hair masks, etc. They do an amazing job at every turn, except affordability but sometimes we all have to make sacrifices.

  • The soaps do smell nice and the exfoliation aspect is a nice differentiator but the price point is steep for what it is.

  • I have the body spray as my first Aesop product and even though it is a bit pricey, I do think it's worth the money as it has been a pleasure to use. The smell is great, it works well as a deodorant, the packaging feels nice in your hand, and I would be confident that this experience carries over to most if not all Aesop products. I definitely plan on picking more up. Also try going to an Aesop shop if possible! That's where I got mine and the whole store was a great experience.

Would be great to be able to refill products instead of throwing away more plastic.

  • Worth the hype and price. Hands feel really hydrated and soft after using the hand soap for a few weeks

  • I can’t believe I am rating so high for a product at this price point, but I really am obsessed. I couldn’t recommend this more as a gift to loved ones for the holidays (or to treat yourself). Their shampoo and conditioner is my go-to and when I am in need of a treat, I splurge on their hand soaps.

  • I think the scents are divine and really love the packaging, but I'm not convinced that this pricing matches the quality of the products, especially the face creams.

  • A great go-to for gifts or just for a little treat for myself. The formulas smell sublime (which is wonderful for some things, but if they offered more fragrance-free products I'd probably buy more). The packaging feels lux but is usually very sustainable too, which is a huge plus for me. Ordering online was easy and quick. The prices make the products a bit expensive for everyday, so I tend to reserve them for more occasional pleasures.

  • I liked the items we used. It was okay. I guess uneventful for me. Not bad but not for me.

  • I thought this brand was just a gimmick until I actually tried a couple products. Everything I've used from Aesop does exactly what it says it's going to. This isn't practical for everyone's budget, and there have been times I've gone a long time without purchasing anything for that reason. But when I can afford it, Aesop is a really nice treat and everything smells incredible and works well. My favorite products are the Moroccan Neroli Post-Shave Lotion (as a daily face moisturizer; I think it's marketing mainly to men who shave their face, but I find it works super well for redness and fair skin) and the Resurrection Hand Soap. The fragrances are also lovely.

  • I've always been an admirer of Aesop - especially the aesthetic of the stores. I had heard good things about their body cleansers and decided to pull the trigger. I purchased the Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser. It a fresh, calming scent that's not overpowering but definitely present. I felt like I was having a spa experience without the price tag.

I love the look of their bottles. I'm hoping they eventually come out with refill pouches so I can keep using the bottles I love and help the environment as well.

  • Love Aesop in general, but their Reverence hand wash is one of the most luxurious things I have in my bathroom. There is exfoliating pumice and it smells amazing.

I wish it was ar a more affordable price point.

  • the products that I love from Aesop cannot be beat - while I do not love all of their products and would not cosign on the efficacy of a lot of their full body items, the handwash, handlotion, dog shampoo, hand sanitizer make me so so happy and keep me coming back for more
