I recently discovered and became addicted to the bright flavors of Butterfields hard candy and spent months considering these before having the money to get them, but they were a bit of a letdown in the fruit-forward flavor department. I bought their bag with 30 packages of nine flavors but haven’t tried all of them. You can’t mindlessly eat them because they stick to your teeth. Otherwise fine. Maybe I’ll buy a larger single flavor container. Idk

I came across this in Copenhagen (after coincidentally getting some ads for them - they do seem to sell directly in the US) and decided to pick up the variety pack. It includes some of my favorite Nordic fruit flavors, such as black currant, elderflower, and sea buckthorn, plus other flavors like passionfruit. Each gummy has 2 flavors - the main flavor itself plus a dusting of another flavor, such as black currant with strawberry, mango with passion fruit. Unfortunately, while the concept is interesting, the flavors were much more muted than expected. I was hoping for something sour, intense, and fruit forward, but I felt the flavors barely stood out. Elderflower was a particular disappointment. And some of the flavor combinations are too similar and don't make sense - for example, quince with apple is too similar so there's no contrast, I would have done quince with pomegranate or plum maybe. Overall, fun and great idea to make a sophisticated candy for adults, but a disappointment.
They have so many flavours... perhaps too many flavours? Yuzu with Shisho was tasty, and I like how they coat one flavour with a power of another. I applaud the innovation, and clearly they use high quality ingredients in their winegums. If this is your thing, then you'll love Wally Whiz. Would I choose Wally Whiz over other sweets, like Haribo, or Bassetts? Probably not. I'm just don't have a sweet tooth, and when I do I crave something cheap and synthetic like a cola bottle. Sorry Wally, you're just not the snack for me.
I've had the chance to eat a lot of these in a bunch of different flavours and, like with most candy, some are better than others. That said, they're quite "addictive" when you get into a box, but also stick to your teeth in quite of an annoying way. I'm torn, but if I was offered one, I'd definitely take it.
