Reviews mention

  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel chocolate
  • Inventive, memorable flavor lineup
  • Chunky, satisfying bar format
  • Ethical, mission-driven sourcing
  • Overly sweet chocolate profiles
  • Thick, hard-to-break pieces
  • Inconsistent caramel texture hardness
  • Limited higher-cacao dark options

Tony’s Chocolonely earns strong reviews for rich, creamy chocolate, inventive flavors like Milk Caramel Sea Salt, Dark Almond Sea Salt, and Dark Milk Pretzel Toffee, plus mission-driven, fair-trade sourcing. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some bars taste overly sweet or bland to dark‑chocolate loyalists, the thick, uneven pieces are hard to break and share, and concerns appear about heavy metals in certain dark varieties and salt intensity in caramel bars.

  • The 51% dark chocolate is my favorite - the perfect cross between milk and dark chocolate

  • So yummy and creamy

  • We should all care about where our chocolate comes from, and Tony's Chocolonely is a brand I can truly get behind, and the only chocolate I’ll buy. They're one of the few who are true to their word when it comes to ethically sourced cocoa and fighting the good fight against child labor in the chocolate industry. That alone makes them a win in my book.

  • My friend got me a pack with multiple flavors and I fell in love. The milk caramel sea salt stole my heart and I caught myself finishing the whole bar before the day was up. Love the flavor behind the chocolate and the mission too.

  • My new favorite chocolate, love the taste!

  • Absolutely the only chocolate I will eat. Delicious. Smart. Kind Chocolate.

  • its delicious range of flavors. You appreciate the brand’s commitment to fair trade and sustainability, as well as the quality and variety of its chocolate offerings.

  • My SIL introduced me to this chocolate when we found it at the Grocery Outlet. Yum, so delicious!

  • This is a high quality chocolate. I enjoy most of the flavors.

  • Found a sampler box at Grocery Outlet and went back to purchase all they had....so delicious and packaging is adorable for gifting!

  • good chocolate, good flavors, but the dark chocolate is still pretty sweet and the bars are so thick they're difficult to break at all. they break into weird pieces and it's hard to get a small one if that's what you're after.

  • I would give Tony's Chocoloney a higher score except for it's price. I also found the bar to be quite dense making it harder to bite into. The taste overall was chocolate but not overall better than the usual brands we buy.

  • Tastes like cjocolate shoulf very high quality

  • If you have chocolate lovers, this is the chocolate for your chocoholic! My daughter and I found Tony's Chocolonely in a store and she loves chocolate and different types of chocolate. She loved Tony's. She was so excited to find the different size bars and flavors she wanted to share with her grandfather, who is also a chocolate lover! Well, now grandpop only wants Tony's! And what's even fun about this is that the big bard remind you of Willie Wonka size bars.

  • Meh

  • Wide range of flavours! I love testing new ones every time, but my favourite will always be white raspberry. I get that it’s their brand, but the shapes can be a bit inconvenient at times

  • Absolutely love this chocolate! I get it for my family in their Christmas stockings every year!
