Reviews mention

  • Creamy, indulgent texture
  • Inventive, nostalgic flavors
  • Ethical, transparent sourcing
  • Vibrant, giftable packaging
  • Thick, hard-to-break bars
  • Irregular, awkward segments
  • Some dark bars overly sweet

Tony’s Chocolonely earns strong reviews for rich, creamy chocolate and inventive flavors like Milk Caramel Sea Salt, Pretzel Toffee, and White Raspberry Popping Candy, while its fair-trade, anti-slavery mission resonates. Reviews also flag drawbacks: bars are very thick with irregular break lines that are hard to portion, some dark varieties run too sweet or chalky, and concerns appear about heavy metals in certain dark bars.

  • I only eat dark chocolate, Tony’s offers an excellent variety of dark chocolates.

  • Exceptional chocolate with great mouth feel. Dark chocolate almond is my favorite flavor.

  • Probably my fav grocery store chocolate! I personally love the dark chocolate almond and sea salt. TBH I bought them because they were good and not because of their slavery-free claims. The quality stays consistent over the years, the only thing is the price - but you pay for what you get!

  • I love Tony’s chocolate. I’ve been purchasing it for years!!

  • Lifelong Lindt Chocolate lover. I got Tony’s as a gift and was surprised to find that it is a creamy and smooth chocolate as good as, if not better than Lindt. Often chocolate bars can have almost a grainy texture but that wasn’t the case. I love the variety of flavors available. I’ve given the mini sets as gifts and everyone loves them!

  • The dark chocolate almond is so good

  • Over-rated without a doubt. It is nice but nothing special. I have had better chocolate at lower price.

  • Really yummy chocolate with an excellent company mission. Loads of flavors, big fan of dark chocolate with sea salt and almonds. Happy to support such an ethical company.

  • One of the best parts of this is that it is a large bar, and is good for sharing. A friend added it to a snack tray and there was plenty to go around. Milk chocolate is my personal favorite and I frequently try different brands. The taste is not chalky or chemical-like. The chocolate melts nicely and tastes of high quality. I’ll definitely continue to buy this milk chocolate, whether or not I’m willing to share! Pretzel toffee is the best, in my opinion.

  • The pretzel toffee is one of my absolute favorites (and can hardly help myself from finishing an entire bar myself)! I do enjoy how the bar is broken into unconventional and seemingly random sizes verses the traditional bars. It allows me to break off a smaller or larger size depending on my mood.

  • Delicious and fun, playful branding!

  • Dark chocolate lover here! The packaging initially didn't entice me but once I gave it a shot, so yummy! Great quality.

  • My husbands favorite candy!

  • Tony's chocolonely is delicious! I give it out as gifts for special occasions and everyone loves it.

  • I like Tony's chocolate, I had a tony advent, the dark almond is good

  • My favorite candy bar that I've tried is the White Chocolate Raspberry. I have issues with texture, but this one and the popping candy one from a few years back were really a joy to eat. The salted caramel one isn't too salty and my only issue is the weird shapes - it's hard to measure the right amount for a treat or to savor with all of the pieces being odd shaped. I'd rather have the "chain break" logo on square pieces and one big piece be the Tony's logo for when the day calls for it. With that said, I love the logo and the meaning behind their stance on sourced materials. The fact it's a nod to Wonka without infringing on that property is great. The labels are bright and the bars are pretty hefty. I'd like to see a blueberry white chocolate, or even lemon blueberry white chocolate next! How about banana too? 😍

  • This is some of the best store bought chocolate I’ve ever purchased. The wrapper was a lesson on sustainability and makes me want to buy more! I don’t eat chocolate as often as I used to so this will be my exclusive secret pleasure!

  • I get it now why it’s everyone’s favourite chocolate. So rich in cocoa flavour and a wide variety of options. Plus, it’s highly affordable and available at local stores in Belgium.

  • O sabor é surreal

  • I discovered Tony's when they gave a lecture at my uni (years ago now) and I absolutely love their story. Yes, their products are on the pricey-er side, but totally worth it in my opinion, especially because they're such a good cause. They really started the caramel sea salt hype and I can't think of another brand that does it better. My favourite chocolate bars!
