Reviews mention

  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel chocolate
  • Inventive, memorable flavor lineup
  • Chunky, satisfying bar format
  • Ethical, mission-driven sourcing
  • Overly sweet chocolate profiles
  • Thick, hard-to-break pieces
  • Inconsistent caramel texture hardness
  • Limited higher-cacao dark options

Tony’s Chocolonely earns strong reviews for rich, creamy chocolate, inventive flavors like Milk Caramel Sea Salt, Dark Almond Sea Salt, and Dark Milk Pretzel Toffee, plus mission-driven, fair-trade sourcing. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some bars taste overly sweet or bland to dark‑chocolate loyalists, the thick, uneven pieces are hard to break and share, and concerns appear about heavy metals in certain dark varieties and salt intensity in caramel bars.

  • One day I randomly decided to try Tonys Chocolonely and I kind of wish I haven't because now I have gotten every flavor I can find and just love them too much.

  • incredible chocolate! i love this stuff and always seek it out when i can

  • This chocolate is out of this world! Their flavors pack a delicious punch of extreme joy to the mouth! My favorite is the pretzel one! Only complaint is that because the bar is not stamped into specific portion sizes or pieces I often find myself eating the whole bar! lol “just one more piece…oops I got the giant Tony’s piece” Worth the higher price tag every time!!

  • A delicious bar of Dutch chocolate. Taste is amazing-with many options ranging from dark to smooth milk chocolate some almonds some white chocolate raspberry. Price is slightly high compared to one of the basics like a Hershey bar. The company seems to have their ethical foot forward and they are committed to their compensation committed to creating chocolate bars slavery-free! But they’re not outlandishy expensive. well I can’t afford it every day of the week it’s a nice treat that I never regret buying

  • It's Probably my current favourite chocolate bar. There are so many options to choose from and they make such a fun and bright gift.

  • I saw an interview about the founder of this brand and really wanted to buy a bar because of their amazing ethos. The chocolate was very mediocre and nothing I would buy again.

  • Delicious chocolates with a great mission. I buy these all the time.

  • Love that they are aware of their product management and production, start to finish. You can find good chocolate anywhere, but responsibly sourced is so important!

  • This is actually decent chocolate. If you are very health conscious than yes this is a great choice but just a little pricey.

  • Love all of their different flavors and am a huge fan of their mission

  • The taste of this chocolate is magnificent. I also love their mission and how ethical they are. The only reason I rated them 4/5 is because of their price point. I know it is a higher price point because they pay their workers fairly (which I love) but it can be difficult to reach for this at the grocery store when everything is so expensive.

  • My go-to chocolate brand from here on out! I purchased the sample pack, and my personal favorite was the milk chocolate with caramel pieces. The flavor, packaging, and even shape of the bar all contribute to this 5 star review!

  • Freakin delicious.

  • Tony's Chocolonely offers some of the most delicious chocolate I've ever tasted. Their rich flavors are unbeatable, and I love that they are dedicated to making chocolate 100% slave-free. It's a treat that's both indulgent and ethically responsible. Highly recommended!

  • I adore Tony's chocolonely! It's one of my favorite brands which never disappoints, is against slavery and always has impeccable flavors. Personally, I adore the milk chocolate and the chocolate and toffee pretzel bar. Would recommend 100%!

  • Tony's Chocolonely is so great, not just because it tastes amazing, but because it's ethically produced. Their mission to end slavery in the chocolate industry is inspiring. They ensure fair pay and sustainable practices for cocoa farmers, making every delicious bite guilt-free. As someone who isn't the biggest fan of chocolate, I don't mind paying extra for Tony's if I'm craving a sweet.

  • nothin like a chunky piece of chocolate that you can chew and that melts in your mouth

  • The first thing that strikes you about Tony's Chocolonely chocolate is its exceptional taste. The rich, smooth texture melts perfectly in your mouth, providing a luxurious experience. The flavors are well-balanced, with the right amount of sweetness and depth. Whether you prefer the creamy, velvety taste of their milk chocolate or the bold, intense flavors of their dark chocolate varieties, Tony's Chocolonely offers something for everyone. The inclusions, like almonds, sea salt, or caramel, add a delightful crunch and extra layers of flavor, enhancing the overall taste experience.

  • I enjoy the vegan dark chocolate bars, but I want a little darker chocolate. I really wish they were divided into squares that are easy to break off like other chocolate bars. Not many people will take the wrapper off to eat the whole thing and see the brand printed on the bar. This just makes it difficult to break off a piece, and messy when I do. Otherwise, I love what this company stands for.

  • I only eat dark chocolate, Tony’s offers an excellent variety of dark chocolates.
