Reviews mention

  • Creamy, indulgent texture
  • Inventive, nostalgic flavors
  • Ethical, transparent sourcing
  • Vibrant, giftable packaging
  • Thick, hard-to-break bars
  • Irregular, awkward segments
  • Some dark bars overly sweet
  • Occasional chalky texture

Tony’s Chocolonely earns strong reviews for rich, creamy chocolate and inventive flavors like Milk Caramel Sea Salt, Pretzel Toffee, and White Raspberry Popping Candy, while its fair-trade, anti-slavery mission resonates. Reviews also flag drawbacks: bars are very thick with irregular break lines that are hard to portion, some dark varieties run too sweet or chalky, and concerns appear about heavy metals in certain dark bars.

  • DELICIOUS! Haven’t had a bar I didn’t like.

    Feedback

They are super thick and hard to break off. It would be nice if it was easier to break into smaller pieces

  • Delicious chocolate! A little too pricey for my taste, but a worthwhile occasional splurge.

  • I’ve tried a few flavors of Tony’s: hazelnut, caramel cookie crunch, caramel, and their dark chocolate. Their chocolate is so creamy, decadent and delicious. It tastes REAL. Doesn’t feel taste there’s a lot of artificial flavors in there. I love that it’s free of seed oils/canola oil. It’s perfect to gift, fun to eat, and the packaging is awesome.

    More dark chocolate options

  • Delish chocolate and great flavor options. love how big they are too. amazing mission of slave free sourcing, and educating their customers.

I dont love how the breaks in the bar are at angles, making the pieces different sizes.

  • My daughter left this at my apartment and I am so HAPPY she did! Milk Chocolate was delicious!!!

  • I tried these for the first time in Amsterdam and now buy them every time I see them. They taste DELICIOUS, and are a great gift for someone you don't know-- who doesn't love chocolate. There are lots of flavors, so something for everyone.

Better distribution in brick & mortar stores

  • I received the orange one in the mail by accident (it was supposed to go to someone else but they put my address…) it was very delicious but I did feel guilty eating it 👀

  • Sustainability and mission wise, great. Unfortunately, the chocolate isn't particularly good. I also just don't like such low % cacao and such high sugar.

    Varieties.

  • Very good chocolate with a great mission! Fun flavours

More flavours with white and milk chocolate please!

  • Love the branding and the mission, but good god, it is way too sweet. It rivals the big guys & conventional chocolate but it is definitely a candy bar replacement, as opposed to a nice chocolate bar.

  • I've been on the search for chocolate to enjoy as a treat, but find most of them to lack dimensional flavor and be too sweet. This chocolate has a great flavor and texture. I love the mission as well.

The bars can be difficult to break into pieces.

  • Tastes good, I like the packaging, and the company has a good mission.

    Feedback

It's a little bit brittle / chalky, but overall good.

  • So yum and their mission behind Tony's is really inspiring. My favorite flavor I've tried so far is the almond milk chocolate one.

  • A delicious chocolate bar, with good values at a very reasonable price.

  • I'm a huge chocolate fiend and to be honest, the flavor was not great for me! I didn't like it that much but I really wanted to.

The texture was also a bit off.

  • Tasty but I'm concerned about the potential it's not really slavery-free... https://tonyschocolonely.com/uk/en/our-mission/news/why-we-are-not-on-all-lists-of-ethical-chocolate-brands

  • My favorite chocolate! I love these bars and the fun flavors. Plus the brand's mission is an amazing cause.
