  • My son got a tonie box for Christmas last year and we’ve amounted about 30 tonies so far. He loves sitting and listening to them. My daughter kept taking it so we got her one as well and she hasn’t stopped playing the Elsa tonie. We just got the poopie one for potty training, love all the options.

  • At first I was so annoyed by this gift. You have to download an app, there's a learning curve to it, and my baby couldn't care less about it. But now he's two+ and we've gotten the hang of it. He's in a good phase of playing independently, and he can zone out with the tonies or have it on in the background while playing with blocks for hours (jk, minutes. But it feels like hours when I can just be in a separate room and sit down.) As he gets into new characters from books and movies we can order the corresponding tony and he gets so excited!

  • Tonies has been amazing in our household! Not only is it fun, but it’s also educational and creates independence for your child. There are so many characters to choose from depending on your child’s interest!

  • The Toniebox has quickly become a favorite in our home. It is very easy for children to use, even without adult help. The sound quality is clear and pleasant, never too loud. I appreciate the wide variety of Tonies available, which keeps the content fresh and exciting. Overall, it is a well-designed product that combines fun and learning in a smart way.

  • Great to avoid screens and get in some more books. My kids love this and it helps me out reading story after stories to them. It's easy to use and I love that you can change the characters. The kids get to choose which one they want and that's always fun for them.

  • I bought one of these for my toddler—I love the idea of having something that isn't a screen. Overall, I like it. I do find that the toybox + app is glitchy. For example, during setup, I had to redo it a couple times because the app kept freezing up. Then, once it was setup, I realized I had set the volume max on the app to a certain point but was unable to change it back to the original setting. I found online that other people had this error and the fix was you had to remove the tonie box from your account and re-do the setup process again. So that was defintely a drawback. Once it started working, my toddler really liked it. He loves switching the characters and going forward/backwards to other stories, etc. I will say, a majority of the Disney characters/stories aren't the 'original' ones. I realized that when I was listening to Toy Story that the voices are slightly different. It wasn't a big deal to my toddler, but was kind of a bummer for me TBH. I also bought some of the meditation / deep breath tonies, which I really like for him. And I'm excited to try the creative tonies (I haven't yet, but will hopefully soon).

  • The product is funny…. There is a lot of different stories, it’s a good idea of gift for little kids, and the figurines are cute. The only problem for me is that it’s too big, you can’t take it with you if you want to travel…

  • My review isn’t of the tonie itself, but more so for their customer service. The address for shipping got entreated incorrectly, when I reached out to tonies customer service I was told that “ Unfortunately we're unable to make any changes to your order once it has been placed. Sadly, this would also include any changes to your order's shipping address”. When I advised that was not an actually address and asked for next steps was told “ Unfortunately your order has already been processed in our fulfillment center. This means that we cannot change or cancel your order”. Funny thing is, that second email came after reaching out to customer service and prior to receiving any shipping information. Meaning there was time to make adjustments as needed. Even more frustrating because tonies publicly posted code of ethics states “treat others how you want to be treated” among other things that directly contradicts their employees actions. While the tonie itself might be a great product their customer service is less that satisfactory. My advice avoid ordering from their company directly and find a third party retailer with better customer service.
