The Ordinary earns strong reviews for being effective and ingredient-focused: many users report clearer, smoother, more hydrated skin from staples like Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, and the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. Reviews also flag weaknesses: some formulas feel sticky or pill, certain actives (retinoids, vitamin C, high-percentage acids) can irritate or be too harsh, results can be hit-or-miss by product or skin type, and the range can be confusing without research.

great skincare products, really made a difference on my skin
Good products overall but you gotta do your research and be careful with which product is compatible with others. Very customizable but takes time and skin testing.

It is good in that it fills a hole of basic/no frills active skincare. that said, you need to already have a good idea of ingredients, what they do, and how well they work for you to get a 4star value out of this brand. because items are so low cost it is pretty low risk, but the wrong person could end up hurting rather than helping their skin if they used the wrong thing without knowing. also the formulas are not going to feel the most cosmetically elegant- they are cheaper, not terrible but not on par with high end or even some mid-range brands
There’s a reason everyone uses this brand, they are awesome.
The ordinary was my start in skincare. Ilove that hte active ingredients are mentioned on the label with minimalist packaging and i know what to expect. It is also super affordable and not intimidation to start with. A lot of skincare has fragrance, i like that their products done have fragrance. My favorite are the AHA/BHA mask but you need to use caution while using it and read instructions. I also like their hyaluronic acid serum and live the price of it. It is effective and much better than a lot of the expensive serums in the market.

Hyaluronic acid: too thick, needs a few drops of water to dilute. Powdered niacinamide and vitamin c: very cost effective, but dissolve with a drop of water before adding to moisturizer. The price points are fantastic, but you need to do your own research to figure out the value of each product and what it might do for you.
super innovative.. i really like the minimalist packaging too
I like their products and they’re very reasonably priced. My skin didn’t do as well with the face lotion, or alpha arbuten, but the niacinimide and eye cream were great.

The prices at the ordinary are unbeatable! They have an incredible product range! I just wish there was more product education as since many of the products are single ingredients based it hard to know what would work for your skin.
Very good product

The products are hit or miss, but the ones that are good are really good. The face oils are amazing and really affordable compared to other brands.
This brand is good for beginners, who want to start out using low cost skin care, but this by no means uses high-quality ingredients. I have use their hair serum, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide. The niacinamide is way too strong of a percentage for most people and also pills. The hyaluronic acid probably has too high of a molecular weight because I don’t think it absorbs into my skin pretty well either. The packaging is made out of frosted glass, which is not recyclable. It is great for low cost skincare but there are also better options out there that aren’t pricy!! I prefer k-beauty brands. More innovative, WORKS, yet won’t break thebank.

I use the glycolic acid as a scalp treatment and a deodorant. It’s great and is a must repurchase. As for the other products I have tries a few but don’t particularly love any of them for my skin. Regardless it’s a good brand and I often recommend it to people starting their skin care journey, especially if they are looking for a deal.
I love Ordinary's line of no frills skincare and beauty products, I currently use their shampoos and skincare products in my daily regimen and would recommend them to friends and family for an affordable clean skin and beauty products!
I purchased the caffeine solution to use under my eyes and although it works well to reduce darkness under my eyes, it always pills up. I love this product but can’t use it without ending up with white flakes under my eyes.
Super simple yet effective skincare. Love that it does what it says it is going to do. May partner now loves the brand and he keep purchasing the face cleanser and daily moisturizer.
The Ordinary understands how complex and overwhelming the skincare industry has become. By reducing skincare to simple ingredients, they have made it so much easier to understand what you are mixing into your routine. Not to mention, making this attainable for all!

Functional, affordable, and most importantly effective. I live by their niacinamide serum and I use The Ordinary foundation from time to time too. I recommend their toners and peeling masks as well.
