The Ordinary earns strong reviews for being effective and ingredient-focused: many users report clearer, smoother, more hydrated skin from staples like Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, and the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. Reviews also flag weaknesses: some formulas feel sticky or pill, certain actives (retinoids, vitamin C, high-percentage acids) can irritate or be too harsh, results can be hit-or-miss by product or skin type, and the range can be confusing without research.

Love all of their products that I have tried and I have been able to try quite a few of them due to their amazing pricing! My favorite is probably the hyaluronic acid serum, makes my skin feel so hydrated and glowy.
I LOVE this brand. First, I love how reasonable all of the prices are. It makes skincare super accessible. Second, the products work so well. After using their products for only a week I could already start to see incredible improvements in my skin.
Great affordability and access! Good for gifts too!

I love this brand. I use their products every day for my skincare routines and feel that they work on getting my acne under control along with fixing my damaged skin.
I bought this at Sephora after having it come highly recommended from a store associate. I have super dry skin, and this felt nice when going on. However, after using the entire bottle I did not notice a major difference in my skin. Overall, a nice product but not sure I will re-purchase based on my own skin!

made me break out. I swear the product is just water it did nothing for me and my skin
For the price point the products are pretty good. I have tried various products from this brand and the quality of the skincare is usually good but my issue has been that the packaging is so cheap that it has majority of the time fallen apart and the product wasted.
I love how affordable this brand is, while suiting a wide variety of needs. At the same time, it is important to be educated and utilize the website to ensure there are no contraindications. I've been using their copper peptide serum for over a year now, and it's comparable to some more expensive products. Will be using it for a long time.
I really love The Ordinary’s selection of products and value. I think that the product quality is great, and I use their products in my everyday skincare routine. This brand is a great way to start building a skincare regimen and build out a collection of products that work for you.
I don't like the texture and stickiness of their Hyaluronic Acid. Overall the pricing is really amazing and good value but I like other products much more
The BEST brand for the price. Love the retinol in particular. Recommend for all single compound solutions!
Their products are high quality without breaking the bank. A must in skin care! Would definitely recommend the brand.
Great product at a great price!
I love the ordinary's serums for their affordability and quality! In particular their lactic acid and hyaluronic acid serums are staples in my skincare routine. I recommend them to anyone looking to get into skincare without a heavy investment!
Friends of mine swear by the brand, but I found the hyaluronic acid broke me out. Lovely packaging and good price points, but worth consulting a derm beforehand.
No nonsense products that do what they say at a reasonable price. What’s not to love?

Broke out my skin and they didn’t accept the return…

A consistent brand with great products and likability. The Ordinary took over the internet by storm with their blue and pink peptide serums. Luckily, they are not just for aesthetic purposes and also work incredible. The peptides work delicately on the skin, leaving your face feeling refreshed and clean. An extra-ORDINARY brand!

I'm a daily user of their serums as they're super nourishing and gentle on my skin. I use the exfoliating mask once a week to slough off any dry skin and the tingling makes me feel like I'm getting a much more expensive peel.
Once a week, I turn into a raspberry with their AHA + BHA peeling solution mask. Does it burn? Yes, it does. Is it effective? Yes, it is and the reason why I endure the burn every week. Gets rid of my stubborn milia and helps slough off the top layer of my skin like an onion (or ogre). So much more affordable than a spa visit.
