Reviews mention

  • Lightweight, invisible application
  • Makeup-friendly primer texture
  • No white cast versatility
  • Innovative, varied formats
  • Occasional oily residue feel
  • Inconsistent formula stability
  • Potential eye sting sensation
  • Silicone-heavy primer texture

Supergoop! earns largely positive reviews for face and body SPF that feels lightweight, leaves no white cast, and layers well under makeup—standouts include Unseen Sunscreen, Glow Screen, PLAY lotion, and Glow Stick. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some formulas feel oily or silicone-heavy, can pill or sting eyes, trigger breakouts, separate in the tube, have unpleasant taste/scent (lip products), and several users question ingredient choices and overall efficacy; many find it pricey.

  • Best sunscreen ever! Both chemical and mineral go on sheer and don’t have a white cast.

I wish more kinds of sunscreen came in bulk sizes, like I’d love the glow screen in a bulk size.

  • I have used many of SUPERGOOP!'s products. Regularly I use their PLAY stick for when I do swim workouts. It's a great water resistant sunscreen which lasts the length of my workout (even as I'm sweating in the water) and never irritates my skin. I also really love the feel of the GLOW oil stick, for quick application when I know I won't be in the sun for very long. If you are used to oily products on your face (or even if you aren't!) the feel of glow screen is really light and nourishing.

Unfortunately most of their sunscreen products do not have zinc oxide in them. I have very fair skin, and I regularly use products that make me more sun sensitive than I already am. Every dermatologist and esthetician I have ever seen has told me that sunscreen without zinc oxide will not adequately protect my skin from sun damage. Therefore, I shouldn't even really be using the GLOW oil stick. Though I still use it in a pinch when I know I'm just out and about for a few quick errands, when my sun exposure will really just be limited to driving / hopping in and out of the car.

  • Really good sunscreen built on clean beauty principles - definitely admire and appreciate this brand and think it should have much broader appeal. Whether for sports, everyday use or as a specialty sunscreen, this is a go to brand and it is FAR superior in its ingredients to mainstream drugstore sunscreens. Their products are also formulated very well - no chalky residue, no oiliness. Top sunscreen brand.

Sometimes the packaging is overdone - looking for more sustainable approaches as the brand evolves.

  • Got their GLOW SCREEN because I wanted the shimmer, but because I have dry skin, this cream was too drying for me. I gave it to my 80 years old mom, she loved it.

    Feedback

I guess it is not for all skin types, but overall, for normal skin, it is a good product.

  • I love the unseen sunscreen. I've gone through multiple tubes of this and am going to repurchase again. Great ingredients and goes on smooth without leaving you white or oily.

  • The sunscreen was recommended to me by people I deeply trust in the skincare world, so now I recommend it.

  • I've tried many of their products and have kept 2 in my daily/weekly rotation (Play and Glowscreen)! Love this brand for its targeted SPF focus & the shimmer effect of the Glowscreen is a total crowd pleaser. I often get comments about how much 'glow' I have :)

    Feedback

Wish ingredients & formulas were more natural.

  • Glowing sunscreen makes me shine

More shades for Chinese fair skin

  • I love this! The cream really sinks in, none greasy and doesn't bother make up

  • I love the focus on SPF products, with many great options based on how you'd like to use your products. Recently, the launches have had some overlap though. The things I like: packaging is so nice, very distinctive and modern, especially the Unseen sunscreen. There are PLENTY of options that you're bound to find something that works for you. What I didn't like: a lot of the options felt like cheaper drugstore sunscreens repackaged at a higher price point. Also, their mineral sunscreens with Zinc Oxide often hardened, and were unusable once you got down to the last 30%.

    Feedback

The formula should be improved for a better user experience. A lotion/cream product should harden and be unusable.

  • I love SuperGoop’s unseen sunscreen. It applies beautifully and leaves a matte finish. Normally face sunscreen leaves a sticky or shiny residue, but with the Unseen Susncreen I can apply it knowing my face won’t look like an oil slick.

    Feedback

Pricing… so expensive for the amount you get.

  • Love using Supergoop for my everyday routine. I apply the sunscreen before applying my makeup. It's very light and not too much. It's a purchase I go back to again and again!

  • Not greasy, excellent coverage!

    Feedback

    no complaints

  • I've tried just about every Supergoop! SKU and I love all of them. This brand has replaced every single sunscreen brand in my bag.

n/a - one of the best "Thingtesting" brands there is

  • read rave reviews but wasn’t great when I tried it. left an oily sheen although it blended in really well (no pilling)

  • The best sunscreen. I received this product in a monthly subscription and have been hooked ever since. I have really sensitive skin and didn't break me out at all. Worth the price!

  • I am super loyal to Play for everyday, travel and exercise. No white cast, rubs in well and absorbs quickly, feels like a light lotion and smells GREAT. Also love Glow Screen for the oomph but you gotta be in the mood!

    Invested in Supergoop!
  • I use the PLAY sunscreen and glow oil every single day, they've become staples in my skincare routine. There's no white cast & I like the addition of antioxidants for extra protection. The Glow Oil is fun to use and great for busy schedules, it makes reapplying SPF on the go much easier. Looking forward to trying more products from Supergoop, especially their SPF eyeshadow.

    Feedback

Price point: it's expensive especially if you regularly use SPF. Buying a larger size of products saves money in the long run (the bulk size of PLAY sunscreen per ounce is WAY cheaper vs buying the regular size) but this can be inaccessible for consumers with limited income.

  • My #1 sunscreen! I am on accutane and I use the "PLAY everyday lotion spt 50 broad spectrum spf" every single morning. It helps to mositerize my dry sensitive skin. I don't think I'd ever switch. I use their lipbalm, spray, scalp spray, body mousee. I am obsessed.

Slightly pricey, I would love to see more sustainable options for packaging.
