Supergoop! earns largely positive reviews for wearable, no–white-cast SPF formulas that double as makeup primers—Unseen Sunscreen and Glow Screen frequently impress for smooth, lightweight application and everyday protection—yet some reviewers report greasiness, pilling, breakouts, or separation and question efficacy versus cheaper dupes. Reviews highlight inclusive, matte-to-glowy finishes, easy reapplication formats (sprays, sticks, powders), and family-friendly PLAY, while noting product-inherent drawbacks like oily feel, chemical scent or eye sting, heavy shine from Glow products, limited shade range in tints, and occasional packaging clogs or leaks.

read rave reviews but wasn’t great when I tried it. left an oily sheen although it blended in really well (no pilling)

The best sunscreen. I received this product in a monthly subscription and have been hooked ever since. I have really sensitive skin and didn't break me out at all. Worth the price!

I am super loyal to Play for everyday, travel and exercise. No white cast, rubs in well and absorbs quickly, feels like a light lotion and smells GREAT. Also love Glow Screen for the oomph but you gotta be in the mood!

I use the PLAY sunscreen and glow oil every single day, they've become staples in my skincare routine. There's no white cast & I like the addition of antioxidants for extra protection. The Glow Oil is fun to use and great for busy schedules, it makes reapplying SPF on the go much easier. Looking forward to trying more products from Supergoop, especially their SPF eyeshadow.
Feedback
Price point: it's expensive especially if you regularly use SPF. Buying a larger size of products saves money in the long run (the bulk size of PLAY sunscreen per ounce is WAY cheaper vs buying the regular size) but this can be inaccessible for consumers with limited income.

My #1 sunscreen! I am on accutane and I use the "PLAY everyday lotion spt 50 broad spectrum spf" every single morning. It helps to mositerize my dry sensitive skin. I don't think I'd ever switch. I use their lipbalm, spray, scalp spray, body mousee. I am obsessed.
Feedback
Slightly pricey, I would love to see more sustainable options for packaging.

I have tried to "no sunscreen sunscreen" and I love it. It is the best sunscreen that I have ever used. It is clear so it does not need to blend in with your skin and it is not oily. I highly recommend it.

Maybe lower the price a bit!

I've tried several of Supergoop's products. The face cream with SPF is wonderful - it's hydrating and has never broken me out. The glow suncreen gives a nice glow that's very subtle. I also love the unseen suncreen which leaves a finish similar to a primer, so it's great to use under makeup.
Feedback
There's no scent to any of the products (which I know some people love), but I enjoy scents and would like the spray suncreen to have one.

I purchased the everyday lotion factor 50. It's so lightweight and smells incredible! 100% recommend

All their products have pore clogging ingredients.

Meh. Comedogenic ingredients!

Obsessed with unseen sunscreen. It goes on non-greasy, completely sheer, and actually is a good base to layer your makeup on top of.

I finally caved and bought Supergoop! after trying to find/use plastic free, reef safe, vegan sunscreen for the past three years. I am obsessed, I have the lip balm, everyday lotion, 50 oil, and face tube in 50. I have been so happy with each individual product. Each absorbs well, smells great, and haven't experienced any issues with sunburns. This will be my new go to sunscreen.
Feedback
The only thing that would make this product more amazing is if these could come in a recyclable packaging / tubes. This is the only reason I didn't give this five stars.

This is my favourite sunscreen! I recently saw an influencer write that it's meant for your body while Unseen Sunscreen is meant for your face? But I've been using Play on my face and have not broken out, don't feel greasy (make sure you shake the bottle before using), LOVE the glow it gives me - I often wear it without any makeup because it makes my skin look so nice - and the bottle's been lasting me quite a long time despite using it liberally! Will never stop buying!!
Feedback
The only thing I could possibly think of is not needing to shake it every time to keep it from having a runny/oily consistency, but I don't even know if that's possible with sunscreen. Shaking it isn't a big deal.

I am really liking the Supergoop Play 50. As someone who is super fair with semi-dry skin, I'm always looking for that dream sunscreen that still adds a nice layer of moisture without being greasy, since I like to have a dewy-ish finish. This has no tint or cast or shimmer and honestly goes on like a regular, lightweight non-sunscreen face lotion.
Feedback
I am not sure about how much protection it actually provides, given it feels like it goes on pretty thin due to the texture.

Supergoop's Unseen Sunscreen is absolutely amazing. It's a scentless, clear gel that applies smoothly on your skin. Compared to other sunscreens, it's miles ahead and is so comfortable to wear. My favorite part is that there's no burning sensation for your eyes.
