    MIJA

I love everything that MIJA stands for when it comes to wellness. Firstly, the products are formulated by their co-founder, who is an actual registered dietitian and nutritionist, rather than the typical 'wellness guru,' and their products are first and foremost, scientifically-backed. Secondly, it's really apparent that their ingredient quality is phenomenal and fresh, as they opt for organic and local whenever possible. Thirdly, they're not a brand that sells many different products for the sake of selling stuff, everything they do make is very impactful, well thought out, and made for the real world (e.g. a functional creamer that packs adaptogens and l-theanine). I highly recommend everyone try MIJA!

    Flamingo Estate

Flamingo Estate really sells a way of life, the LA-version of La Dolce Vita. Their products are sensorial, and quite high quality. I particularly like their Heirloom Roma Tomato Candle, Rosemary & Clary Sage Body Wash, and a chili that doesn't seem to be made anymore. However, after using quite a few of their products for a while now, I have to admit, you're definitely buying it for the visuals and storytelling. The actual products provide little in the way of reasons to keep purchasing, and most items were a fun-to-try, but not a repurchase. With that said, the entire delivery experience is quite beautiful, from the shipping box to the presentation once you open a shipment. They are bar none, my pick for gifting to people.

I had a great shopping experience with Away. Their travel options are well thought out, and well priced, in my opinion. The carry-on handles travel well, and can take a beating.

    Feedback

I think the handle and wheels can be improved for durability and ease.

    quip

I had such high hopes for Quip because they're reasonably priced, and the subscription with refills sounds convenient in theory. However, I stuck with them for a total of 3 subscriptions, and each time they forgot something (first time, they didn't include toothpaste, then they forgot the floss, etc.). They always shipped out what they forgot, but that usually took 2-3 more weeks to arrive. I also feel like their product just isn't good. The toothbrush doesn't deep clean, and they've even said that the vibration isn't really to help clean but rather to let you know that it's on. But I find that misleading. Generally, I get a deeper clean from cheaper Oral B's at the drugstore. And the toothpaste that comes with the subscription dries super easily and feels like putty.

I wish they'd invest in making better products, starting with just a totally better toothbrush!

    Supergoop!

I love the focus on SPF products, with many great options based on how you'd like to use your products. Recently, the launches have had some overlap though. The things I like: packaging is so nice, very distinctive and modern, especially the Unseen sunscreen. There are PLENTY of options that you're bound to find something that works for you. What I didn't like: a lot of the options felt like cheaper drugstore sunscreens repackaged at a higher price point. Also, their mineral sunscreens with Zinc Oxide often hardened, and were unusable once you got down to the last 30%.

    Feedback

The formula should be improved for a better user experience. A lotion/cream product should harden and be unusable.
