Stasher Bag wins praise in reviews for durable, leak-resistant silicone storage that replaces single‑use plastic, performs in freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and even sous vide, and comes in versatile, space‑saving sizes and colors. However, many reviewers flag persistent drawbacks: tough-to-clean seams, slow drying that can lead to odors or mildew, occasional staining or smell retention, tricky openings, and rare tears or imperfect seals with liquids—making bowls/stand-up styles preferred for ease of use.

  • I love love love stashers. I’ve used compeitor versions and they aren’t nearly as good at staying closed. This is a great way to ditch plastic, and have a cleaner/climate friendly way to store foods. I use it truly like I would a plastic bag. Store food, pack lunches, or even transporting fluids that have a potential to leak. I have them in various sizes as well to fit these use cases. As a mom to little ones, I can’t recommend them enough!

  • I like using these reusable bags, but I wish they a) flipped inside out more easily for cleaning and b) were slightly more sturdy. One of my bags got punctured in multiple places when I forgot it on the floor of my car. This is not a normal use case for this, and a disposable bag wouldn’t have fares any better, but at the price I wanted them to be a bit stronger. After I bought them I also realized how infrequently I use any sort of zip top bag! I do like using them for my liquids when I fly.

  • Stasher bags are indispensable for sous vide preparation. It’s great not having to use a disposable plastic bag!

  • Such a beautiful and smart replacement for single-use plastics. I've used these for years and won't stop.

  • Overall, I found this brand just okay. For snack items that you 100% plan to eat in the next couple of days I think it's a great alternative to ziploc bags or even reusable tupperware because it's much lighter, but as a 1:1 replacement for ziploc bags they didn't work for me. If you plan on keeping meat or using this as a freezer bag I found that it was really hard to feel like they were clean. Maybe that was my own hang up but I still use ziploc bags for that kind of stuff.

  • Useful to have but personally find it hard to close easily. threw it in the luggage for a trip and it broke :(

  • Use these all the time because they are so awesome!

  • I have been a tried and true stasher fan for years. I use them for everything!! They are so convenient for freezing foods. It is great to be able to write on the bags with chalk marker. I love that they are microwaveable, reusable, dishwasher safe and come in fun colors. Beyond being a great sustainable alternative there are so many benefits you can’t find in a single use plastic bag. And the new bowl versions are awesome as well!

  • I have tons of stasher bags and I use them all the time. Love the fun colors, quality material, and how I can pop them in the dishwasher for a good cleaning. I have two gripes: first I definitely feel like they can impart a flavor on some foods. It's subtle but enough to make me opt for a glass container. I noticed it kinda ruined the flavor of some cookies I made :( lesson learned. Second is that it can be hard to see exactly what is inside, and you know how it goes: out of sight out of mind. I end up using these most to store perishables already in packaging like cheese and seitan. The larger quart bags are especially useful for leftovers like pizza. I also really like to use the bags for organizing non foods. I'm not disappointed I bought them, but I'm also not buying any more.

  • These are great with a couple of caveats. The construction makes them a real pain in the rear to clean! They're also not all that kid friendly as my child had trouble opening and closing on her own.

  • I love the mission of this brand! Disposable plastic bags are something I don’t think a lot of families consider to be environmentally detrimental. But we use SO many!!! These bags are great but I will say they start to develop an odor after a few months, even while being really good about washing them.

  • These are essential for bringing your snacks with you, on the go, to study, the gym. A go to for sustainable snacking!

  • This is a revolution in kitchen storage. I'm really interested in reducing my waste and being able to store my food in these silicone bags has been such a great way to not only stop using plastic zip bags but also keep the food fresher for longer. I wish they were a bit cheaper so I could afford more, and more families could access them.

  • Love these in the kids lunch kits. They never open leaving messes. Easy to seal and wash like a dream. Thick and substantial all while being flexible and easy to use.

  • They are great bags and I buy them at whole foods to put in my sons much box and they seal well and are great quality.

  • These bags are perfect for my daughter's snacks. We use them during school days and they work great! I hand wash them, they're easy to clean!

  • I bought these bags a couple of years ago while I was on my zero waste journey. I still use the same bags today. I love how well they keep food fresh longer. Their seal technology is amazing! They’re easy to clean and store.

  • Great storage bags. We no longer use any ziplock bags in our household in an effort to cut our plastic consumption. These have been a great replacement.
