  • I've been a Sophie fan for YEARS and slowly adding her timeless homewares to my personal collection- she offers so many color combinations so there really is something for everyone. (I'm currently eyeing the new silver pieces...) The first item that I ever purchased was the Wave Pitcher which I also like to use as a vase with the appropriate bouquet. I especially love her collabs with The Qi and Ghia, both are amazing gifts for friends! You can now find her stuff at DWR, SSENSE, Areaware, The RealReal, and so many more stores.

  • I ordered a set of cocktail glasses. While I absolutely adore the design and they look just as good in person as their dreamy pictures online, the quality left a little to be desired. They are lightweight and just don't seem very substantial. I had to send them back sadly, but if the weight is not an issue, I'd recommend this company.

In their own words

Sophie Lou Jacobsen is a French-American designer currently based in New York City. She designs objects, furniture, and spaces. She established her studio two years ago, and since then has been focused primarily on objects of everyday use, mostly using glass as a medium and exploring the interaction between object and user. Her work stems from the idea that objects have an innate power to enhance their user's mood through form and function. She focuses on simple objects and rituals, to see how she can alter these in ways that are surprising, delightful, and elevate the user experience. She believes that the objects which we surround ourselves with can and should be imbued with a certain poetry, creating a relationship between humans and objects built on mutual respect.
