Sonos Reviews

Best of Thingtesting4.3

Sonos earns strong reviews for excellent, room‑filling sound and elegant design, proving the brand is good at delivering clear, powerful audio; however, persistent software friction—glitchy app, Wi‑Fi quirks, and limited Bluetooth on some models—undercuts the experience. Reviews also praise easy multi‑room setup, seamless grouping, and products like Arc, Five, Move, and Era 100, while citing frustrations with app crashes, streaming service limitations, and occasional connectivity or sync issues.

  • I've had this speaker for years now and absolutely love it. It's easy to connect with a super sleek design that fits into every room. The audio quality is phenomenal, no matter at which volume. Easy to stream music from my iPhone.

  • We have the sonos sound bar and speakers at home. Now i'm not an expert by any means, it was my husband that really wanted the sonos set up and he is very happy with it! They are expensive but if you like good quality sound with your music and movies it gets a thumbs up from my husband lol

  • I’ve been a Sonos fan for years. In the beginning, the setup was seamless, the sound was incredible, and the whole ecosystem just worked. Over time, though, the software has gotten harder to deal with. I have more than ten speakers and half of them barely connect anymore—the experience just isn’t as smooth as it used to be. That said, I still love the brand. When it works, the sound quality is strong, the price is solid for what you get, and the overall design is clean. If you’re setting up a system you never plan on moving, and you want a cost-effective way to get great surround sound, Sonos is still a good option. Just be ready for some bumps on the software side.

  • We recently purchased a pair of Sonos Five speakers as well as a refurbished Sonos Arc. I use them together with the Fives in bookshelves on either side of our TV and with the Arc mounted below the TV on a Mantel Mount. They sound exceptional when playing a wide variety of music with an enormous soundstage. They sound particularly excellent with Dolby Atmos/spatial audio tracks, and I have been very impressed by the bass output of the Fives. When I pair the three speakers through the SonoSequencr app (not made by Sonos) with the Arc as a center channel and the Fives as fronts, the trio performs amazingly as a home theater set up, with the Fives contributing to floor rumbling bass when that is of interest. The Arc performs very well as an isolated soundbar as well, with a wide sound stage and immersive audio. I change the arrangement that the speakers are configured to playback in depending on the use case. I moved to this setup from a traditional Yamaha receiver with ELAC bookshelf speakers, and I am very pleased by the ease of use and sound quality. I highly recommend Sonos products!
